Don’t expect too much. The first 20 chapters could be summed up in a sentence or two. Basically the boy slowly into a girl but no one finds it strange. It would’ve been better to skip all those chapters and start in the middle, then I wouldn’t have fallen asleep twice and burned out before anything interesting happened.
This story starts reeeeeaallly slow. Its slice of life, and also a somewhat but not entirely new take on the genderbender think. The “magic” so to speak is light and the overall focus is on the day to day life and something that I cannot surely place but what seems to be semi-rural life in China around 2010. I like that the protagonists are mostly innocent and have their little problems. There is a serious streak later on and its devours some chapters but I guess its important for the overall story consistency.
I quite adore the relationship of the protagonist which feels so…unmature which is a slight blast to a past that I myself never had. This is my personal good vibes a day novel, to bad it seems to not be activly translated anymore.
