Yesha and another magic beast named Ting Xiao ran at full speed for two whole hours, until the forbidden land that people had long forgotten appeared in their sight.
That place was a dilapidated ancient ruin.
The giant stone pillars had long since broken, lying crookedly in the piles of weeds.
A nauseating smell of rotten eggs drifted in the air.
In this godforsaken place, there was no light at all, only that pure, sticky, thick darkness that could swallow a person whole.
The moment Yesha threw Yisela to the ground, she let out a sound of excruciating dry heaving.
Two hours! A full two hours! She had been forced to have zero-distance contact with a wolf’s warm, wet mouth.
That wolf’s mouth had everything—old dried blood, rotten meat from who knows what animal, and the sour stench brought from some muddy swamp.
The mixture of these things was nothing short of an inhumane torture to her noble nose.
“Cough, cough, cough…!”
Yisela lay prostrate on the ground, her body curled up in disarray, gasping for air.
She greedily breathed in the sulfur-laden air around her—even though this air was full of that especially evil, uncomfortable aura.
Water. But to her nose, it was ten thousand times fresher than Yesha’s stinking mouth.
She instinctively lifted her wide sleeve and brought her nose to smell herself.
Her originally pure white beautiful dress was now covered in patches of shiny, sticky, strange-smelling wolf saliva.
“It’s over…!”
“It’s dirty…!”
Yisela’s face had been pale with little color, but now it turned livid, revealing an expression more desperate than facing her own death.
“Can you monsters pay attention to your personal hygiene?”
“Huh?”
“Can you?”
She grabbed her own beautiful, silky long hair in a frenzy, pointing a finger at the giant wolf named Yesha’s nose and started scolding.
“Do you know that I, the Princess, have severe germophobia?”
“Huh?”
“Do you know how hard it is to wash this dress?”
“I was almost killed by your saliva, you know!”
“I don’t care!”
“I want to take a bath now!”
“Immediately!”
“Right now!”
“I’m telling you, if you don’t let me bathe, I’ll die right in front of you!”
Just as Yisela was throwing a tantrum, kicking and screaming, the sound of elegant footsteps came from the depths of the ruins.
Tap, tap, tap.
The footsteps were slow, one by one.
Yisela lifted her head. She was instantly stunned.
Walking out from that pitch-black, invisible darkness was an extraordinarily beautiful woman, so beautiful it made one’s heart tremble.
She had flowing silver-white hair like moonlight, her features delicate, as if carved by a god. Her skin was also very white.
Yisela was the type who couldn’t walk past a pretty thing. So the moment she saw that woman, her thought was, ‘Wow, she’s really pretty. Just a little less than me.’
But the next second, she sensed something was wrong, very wrong.
Behind that woman, a pair of huge wings spread out. But those wings were not a holy white color, but a black as deep as an abyss, bottomless.
Every feather on them exuded a sense of coldness and deathly stillness, without a trace of light, only that pure, hellish aura of corruption.
A fallen angel! That was a fallen angel!
The female angel with black wings stopped in front of the princess.
Her eyes, pale like gold, held no warmth. She slightly lowered her head, looking at the utterly disheveled Yisela on the ground, her voice clear and cold.
“Her Highness the Princess of the Silver Dragon Clan, you have been startled.”
“I will arrange a bath for you.”
She raised her hand and waved it lightly, and the black demonic energy that had been binding Yisela dispersed instantly.
Now that she had regained her freedom, the first thing she did was not to run away or defend herself, but—
Bang!
She used the last bit of strength left in her body and punched the giant wolf named Yesha hard on the nose.
Awoooo—!!!
The magic beast named Yesha, hit by Yisela’s punch, had tears streaming out. It covered its sore nose, jumping up and down on the ground, looking as aggrieved as a two-ton child.
“You remember this next time—pay attention to the hygiene in your mouth!”
“Got it?”
“You idiot!”
After throwing that punch, the princess didn’t forget to add this scolding. Then she shook her hand with great disgust, as if she had touched something extremely dirty.
The giant wolf Yesha was trembling with rage. Just as it opened its mouth to roar at the princess, it saw the fallen angel with black wings slightly tilt her head, sending a cold glare.
Just a single look. The previously majestic and ferocious Yesha instantly became like a duck with its neck tightly gripped.
Its whole body gave a violent shudder, then it immediately tucked its tail between its legs, whimpering, shrinking back into a corner, not daring to make another sound.
Watching this scene, Yisela not only felt no fear or terror, but instead felt an indescribable, inexplicable sense of superiority.
‘Hmph, it seems I, the Princess, have quite the clout. Look how much face that black-winged woman gives me.’
She reached out and patted the dust off her skirt. Although it was covered in saliva stains, she still straightened her slender waist, putting on a very noble posture, and then said in a casual tone.
“Since we’re here, we might as well stay.”
“Hey, that big sister with black wings.”
“I’m hungry. Are you inviting me to eat?”
“Next time, mind the etiquette, okay?”
“Don’t send these two idiots to escort me. Send someone who can communicate with me, all right?”
While saying these words, she swaggered into the eerie ruins as if it were her own backyard, without any trace of fear.
“Then I’ll take a bath first. After the bath, you have to send me back, okay? I, the Princess, am very busy. I don’t have much time to play with you.”
The fallen angel with black wings didn’t speak. She just silently turned around, her huge wings fluttering slightly behind her.
Yisela followed behind her, watching that perfect, beautiful, and mysterious back profile.
Her mind was still muttering, ‘Hmm, the service attitude is not bad, but the environment here is too poor. When this princess gets back, I’ll have to write them a bad review and make them improve.’
The white skeleton soldiers around, originally wanting to pounce on her, holding broken shields and rotten swords, all knelt down and prostrated themselves as the black-winged fallen angel passed, their whole bodies trembling. Even though they were undead, they shook like that.
Yisela couldn’t help swallowing. This was no invitation for a meal; it was clearly a little lamb walking right into the tiger’s mouth.
