Chapter 21: Get The Hell Out At One In The Morning

Chi Qingya was in the middle of gaming, locked in a fierce online argument with another player.

Her words flew like swords, sharp and biting, laced with the finest curses.

As she played, munching on snacks from the table, everything else faded from her mind.

Even the sound of running water from the nearby bathroom went unnoticed—her headphones blocked out the world.

She was completely immersed in her own world.

But the moment she logged off after finishing the game, the mistakes her teammates made replayed in her mind like a movie.

Even though she had already chewed them out, she still couldn’t calm down.

The more she thought about it, the angrier she became.

And then her thoughts turned to Su Li sneaking out for meals on her own, barely spending any time at home.

She even had the nerve to order spicy fish at the cafeteria—the kind Qingya herself couldn’t bring herself to splurge on.

Meanwhile, Qingya was stuck at home doing everything: cleaning the room, tidying up the place, working herself to death.

Su Li, on the other hand, not only didn’t share any of the burden, but kept causing more trouble.

Even when the toilet seat got dirty, she didn’t bother—Qingya had to change it herself.

Maybe it was because she lost the last game, or maybe Su Li had just pissed her off too much.

Either way, her chest felt tight, like something was clogging it up.

She needed to let it out.

The room was pitch-black and dead quiet, except for the occasional faint sound from Su Li.

It wasn’t the sound of breathing, but even the faintest noise was crystal clear to her.

Su Li was talking to someone.

Qingya immediately went on high alert, pressing her ear against Su Li’s door, trying to catch what she was saying.

But all she could make out were bits like “baby” and similar terms.

In that instant, Qingya’s face turned beet red, her pale slender fingers gripping the doorknob tightly, ready to burst in.

Maybe it was the overwhelming emotions that had reached a boiling point, but she couldn’t hold back anymore.

She threw the door open and kicked it hard.

Oh, perfect. Just perfect!

She’d been spending her hard-earned money to support Su Li, and not a dime of it went toward the household.

Instead, it was being blown on those random girls out there.

Qingya’s face flushed with rage—she felt utterly betrayed.

In that moment, she understood exactly why wives lost it when faced with mistresses.

She had worked so hard, saved every penny, never indulged herself and yet her money was being spent on some random girl.

And those girls didn’t even have to lift a finger.

Even with headphones on, Su Li clearly heard the loud thud of the kick against her door.

“Sorry, baby, something just came up. I’ll play with you again in a bit,” she said softly.

“I’ll make up the lost rank for you, and I won’t charge you for this hour either. Really sorry, baby.”

Su Li had been playing on Xiao Yuyu’s account.

Sometimes when Xiao Yuyu wasn’t playing with her, she’d spectate and watch Su Li’s gameplay.

The two of them chatted while gaming, complaining about opponents and incompetent teammates.

Logging off wouldn’t be a big deal.

A bot would temporarily take over her role and honestly, sometimes the bot performed better than she did.

The blush on a girl’s face could say more than a thousand sweet nothings.

Looking at Chi Qingya’s flushed face, Su Li immediately realized this was not going to be an easy situation to resolve.

If she made Xiao Yuyu wait, it would hurt the client experience.

And it wasn’t professional either.

Xiao Yuyu was pretty easygoing—as long as you called her “baby” a few times.

Keep sweet-talking her and she wouldn’t hold a grudge.

She figured she could deal with Xiao Yuyu later.

But Chi Qingya… this was not something a few sweet words could fix.

“Well, done chatting? Did I interrupt your little flirt session?”

Chi Qingya stood with her hands on her hips in front of Su Li, towering over her like a wife catching her husband cheating.

Her tone was dripping with sarcasm.

“What’s wrong? If you’re hungry, I can make you something downstairs. Or if that’s too much trouble, I can order takeout for you.”

Su Li spoke softly.

Given how picky Qingya was about food, making something she’d actually enjoy wouldn’t be easy.

Even finding fresh ingredients was a hassle.

If she were to cook, she’d have to head out and buy fresh vegetables first.

That’s why Su Li mentioned cooking something downstairs.

“Heh, found a new girl already, huh?”

“Don’t need me anymore, is that it?”

“Got money to order takeout now, huh?”

“No wonder you were able to afford that expensive spicy fish. Must’ve been a treat for your new fling. Do you even realize how long we could’ve eaten off one meal like that?”

“Fine, fine, since you’ve got someone new now, no need for you to stay in my place. Why don’t you just leave?”

The more Qingya talked, the angrier she got.

Just thinking of Su Li calling someone else “baby” behind her back made her feel sick.

She’d taken care of Su Li for so long, and not once had she been called “baby.”

Qingya slowly walked over to Su Li’s wardrobe, flung it open, and began yanking clothes out, throwing them one by one onto the floor.

“Since you’ve already found someone else, then get out—Su Li, get the hell out of my house!”

Chi Qingya flung Su Li’s clothes to the floor one by one, shouting in anger.

Su Li’s voice, however, remained unusually calm.

She watched Qingya’s actions but didn’t rush to pick up the clothes.

The room had already been cleaned spotless, so even with the clothes on the floor, they wouldn’t get dirty anytime soon.

She looked at Chi Qingya and said evenly, “Are you serious? It’s one in the morning.”

At this hour, finding a place to stay would be difficult, but not impossible.

She had already been thinking about renting a new place.

It was just that with all the stuff going on with MOKA, she’d been too busy to find time during the day.

And at night, she still had to finish Xiao Yuyu’s orders.

“What else?”

“You think I’m joking with you?”

“You think I’m like you, doing whatever I feel like on a whim?”

“I don’t want to be good to you anymore, got it?”

“I’ve put up with too much from you, made so many compromises!”

“That’s what turned you into what you are now.”

“Selfish, never thinking about anyone else!”

“Ungrateful and heartless like a dog that bites the hand that feeds it!”

“This is just who you are, and you’ll never change!”

“I’m done with it!”

Chi Qingya roared, still trying to throw more of Su Li’s clothes onto the ground to vent her rage.

But Su Li simply didn’t have that many clothes.

After digging for a while, she ran out.

The pile on the floor wasn’t even big enough to call a heap.

Even lying on top of it would still feel like the hard floor underneath.

“Now. Right now. Take your stuff and get out!”

“The farther you go, the better!”
