Light patterns.
Yisela’s piercing scream nearly tore the sky outside the Dragon’s Nest apart.
But that thick door to the Nest was not only shut tight, layer after layer of dense silver seals also lit up across its surface.
The voice of the Da Zhanglao pierced through the door, carrying a tone of relief, as if he had just unloaded a heavy burden.
“Child, go in peace!”
“Don’t forget to bring honor to our dragon clan!”
“Every year during the Dragon sacrifice, this elder will be sure to burn—oh no, no, I mean send you a ton of gold coins!”
Upon hearing this, Yisela instantly exploded with rage, her entire face turning bright red.
“Pah!”
“Who cares about your stinking money!”
“Open the door this instant!”
“You old bastards who just stand by and watch!”
She threw herself at the door, pounding her tiny fists against the hard dragon-scale stone. But instead of opening, the door only made her own tiger’s mouth go numb with a stinging pain.
Yet the Dragon Nest’s door didn’t budge an inch. The gilded characters carved beside it gleamed coldly, piercing her eyes: [Dragon Clan: No Returns Accepted, Exit Left, No Send-Off]
Seeing those words only made her heart heavier.
“Shut up, you’re annoying.”
The Elven Queen, Sylvanas, suddenly spoke. Her fingertips curled and instantly pinched Yisela’s pair of small dragon horns on top of her head, then she shook her hand in disgust.
“Damn it, what’s with this milky smell?”
Yisela’s short little legs kicked frantically, her whole face rebellious.
“That’s dragon spice incense!”
“The most top-tier dragon spice incense!”
“It’s not some milky smell!”
“It’s the succubus curse.”
Holy Maiden Seraphina withdrew her holy scepter at that moment. Her golden eyes fell on Yisela as she explained slowly.
“According to the divine scripture, this damned curse makes a person emit a scent that has an alluring effect.”
“If she’s not appeased regularly, her magic power will slowly wither away, and she’ll end up drying into a little silver dragon jerky.”
“Dried into jerky?”
Sylvanas’s eyes narrowed slightly at that. The vine whip in her hand tapped lightly against the ground, and a smile curled at the corner of her mouth.
“Perfect then. Our forest’s flower fertilizer has been needing a little troublemaker like her as nourishment.”
“Hah?”
“You want to turn me into flower fertilizer?!”
Yisela jerked her head up. The tears hanging in her eyes weren’t even dry yet, but she still forced an infuriatingly smug sneer.
“You two—a mix of a low-tier elf and a phony saint—only dare to throw threats around now that this princess is weak!”
“You actually want to turn this princess into flower fertilizer?”
“What a couple of idiots!”
“Complete, utter idiots!”
She twisted her face into as many ugly expressions as possible, sticking out her tongue and wagging it, trying to use this to prop up her last shred of pride as a noble dragon.
But just at that moment, her succubus constitution betrayed her without permission—her cheeks instantly flushed crimson, beyond her control. Her fierce eyes turned watery, and her voice sounded exactly like she was begging for a pat.
The air froze solid in that instant.
Seraphina’s fingers tightened. Her scepter let out a crack as she actually squeezed a crack into it.
Sylvanas’s breath hitched for a beat. Under her emerald eyes flickered a light of suppressed amusement and playful interest.
The Holy Maiden said this as she slowly crouched down, her white-gloved hand gently lifting Yisela’s chin.
“It seems the little princess’s body is far more honest than her mouth.”
“D-Don’t come near me!”
Yisela shrank back in terror, her little arms flailing wildly.
“I am the dignified Silver Dragon Princess!”
“Once I recover my power, I’ll turn you both into— mwah…!”
Smack!
The sound rang out.
Sylvanas slapped her hand back, then smack—right on Yisela’s bottom.
The sound was crisp, the force not heavy, but the sense of humiliation was dialed to the max, making her want to find a crack in the ground to crawl into.
Yisela froze on the spot, like a little silver dragon statue.
It wasn’t the pain—it was the sheer shame!
A numbing sensation shot up from her tailbone straight to the crown of her head. Her legs went weak, and she nearly knelt right there to sing the conquest ballad for the queen.
“Ahhh!!”
A saccharine whimper, utterly disgraceful for a dragon, leaked uncontrollably from her throat.
That feeling of humiliation blasted straight through her dragon brain!
Yisela’s fur completely stood on end. All her fear, all her weakness, flew away together with her sanity.
She whipped her head around, opened her cherry-like mouth, bared two sharp little fangs, and bit down fiercely on Sylvanas’s arm!
“Owww!!”
This bite—she put all her baby strength into it!
Even though her divine power was gone, her dragon clan’s inherited good teeth were still there!
“Sss!”
Sylvanas sucked in a breath of cold air, her brows furrowed deeply.
“This little runt has some serious bite. That hurts.”
“Yisela!”
“Let go this instant!”
Seraphina hurriedly reached out to pull her away, but was afraid of hurting her if she used too much force.
“No!”
“I’m going to bite you to death, you stinky elf!”
“You’re dead!”
Yisela clamped down and refused to let go, but tears sprayed across her face from the effort. She cried and bit at the same time, all her grievance and anger mixed together.
Sylvanas looked down at the clear little tooth mark on her arm, then at the sobbing little brat in her arms who was biting her while bawling. She was so angry she actually laughed.
Instead of shaking Yisela off, she pulled her arm in, hugging Yisela tighter, and with her other hand she pinched the scruff of Yisela’s neck hard, rendering her completely immobilized.
“Since you’re so fond of biting, don’t blame me for being harsh.”
“If you dare move again, I’ll show you what real punishment means.”
Yisela’s whole body went limp in an instant, and she finally let go.
All the pent-up grievance she’d held in burst the dam, and she wailed loudly.
“Waaah—you’re all bad people!!”
“I want to go back to the Dragon’s Nest!”
“I’ll draw pig faces all over your faces!!”
Seraphina sighed helplessly, gently patting Yisela’s back as she spoke to Sylvanas.
“You were a bit too rough.”
“She bit me first.”
Sylvanas stubbornly retorted, but looking at the little silver dragon crying her heart out in her arms, she held back.
“Don’t touch me!”
“You’re in cahoots with this stinky elf!”
Yisela sobbed, dodging away, but her body uncontrollably leaned toward Seraphina—because the holy light was so warm. The cold brought by the curse was too unbearable, making her instinctively seek the heat source.
Seraphina took the opportunity to pull her into her arms, gently stroking her back, soothing her one stroke at a time.
Yisela sobbed with hiccups, and between sobs she proudly recounted her glorious deeds, only mentioning how many good things she had done and how kind she was, without saying a single word about what trouble she had actually caused:
“I-I didn’t do anything bad! I was only trying to help! That hymn bell in your Holy Light Cathedral—I saw it hanging there quietly, afraid it was bored, so I specially found a magic tremor stone and placed it underneath, to make its sound louder and more pleasant!”
“And that Holy Spring in your Elven Forest—I saw a lot of leaves floating on the water, worried the spring water wasn’t clean, so I poured in our dragon clan’s special cleaning powder and thoroughly cleaned the whole pool for you!”
“I was clearly doing good deeds! Not only did you not thank me, you ganged up to bully me! I’m obviously a perfectly well-behaved and sensible dragon, waaah…!”
Seraphina and Sylvanas’s eyes met sharply, the same thought flashing through both their minds, and they cried out in unison internally: So it was you!
Seraphina’s inner complaint followed.
“No wonder that day when the bell rang, it shattered all the glass in the Temple, the believers’ ears rang for three whole days, and the Temple was so bombarded with complaints they had to stop ringing it for repairs, not daring to strike it once for half a year!”
“And it was this little ancestor who did it!”
Sylvanas’s inner cold sweat kept pouring.
“No wonder the Holy Spring suddenly changed taste that day and started bubbling, the seven-colored divine carps the elves had raised for over a hundred years all floated belly-up overnight, and the Spring was ruined for half a month—the whole forest was looking for the culprit!”
“It was her!”
The two looked down at the little silver dragon in their arms, crying so pitifully and feeling so wronged.
The anger in their stomachs instantly twisted into a mix of exasperation and amusement. They didn’t know whether to scold her or laugh at her first.
“Alright, alright. We’ll slowly sort out all this when we get to the Holy Temple.”
Seraphina suppressed her laughter and soothed her gently.
“Hmph!”
Yisela turned her head away with a tsundere sniff, her little nose twitching, still talking tough.
“Once I recover my power, I’ll tie both your pairs of ears into big butterfly knots!”
“I’ll make you run all over the streets wearing those knots!”
“Oh?”
“Then I’ll be waiting.”
Sylvanas raised an eyebrow.
“But until then, you’ll have to obediently come with us and accept your punishment.”
“I’m not going to your lousy places!”
“I want to go back to the Dragon’s Nest!”
“You have no choice.”
Sylvanas’s tone dropped instantly.
“Otherwise, I’ll tie you to my saddle and drag you all the way back to the forest.”
Yisela looked at the thorny vine whip dangling in her hand, and her little face went pale in an instant. All the tough talk she’d just let loose was swallowed back down whole, not daring to say another word.
The next second, she buried herself in Seraphina’s arms, her little claws gripping the saint’s robe tightly, crying even more pitifully.
“So cold…!”
“I want a hug…!!”
“I don’t want to be flower fertilizer!”
Seraphina’s heart softened instantly. She hugged Yisela tightly, and the warm holy light gently enveloped her, dispelling the chill on her body.
“Even though you meant well, in the end you did something wrong. You’re already an independent little dragon now; you need to take responsibility for your own actions, okay?”
She gently taught her.
Sylvanas also reached out, gently curling her hand around Yisela’s cold little dragon tail, and teased with a smile.
“Back then, you little evil dragon was so arrogant. Now you have to rely on us?”
Yisela held out till the very end.
“I-I’m not relying on you at all!”
“It’s just, just too cold!”
But even as she said that, her tail quietly wrapped around Sylvanas’s wrist, and her little body rubbed against the holy light again and again—clearly dependent.
Seraphina let out a low laugh.
“What a stubborn little thing.”
“I also came specifically after hearing about your curse. I might even have a way to solve it.”
Sylvanas snorted coldly.
“You’re too soft on this little brat.”
“My advice is to let me punish her properly first, and teach the silver dragon clan a lesson on their behalf.”
The little silver dragon demon that once rampaged across the continent, giving everyone a headache, was finally captured and brought to justice.
What kind of punishment awaited her in the future?
The little silver dragon’s whimpers gradually turned into small mutterings.
And Yisela, curled up in the warm embrace, quietly squinted her ruby-like eyes.
She could feel that the magic power inside her, which had been dried up for so long, was slowly beginning to flow again, ever so faintly, nourished by the holy light.
‘Just you wait. Once this princess recovers her power, I’ll be the first to kidnap both of you back to my Dragon’s Nest.’ she thought secretly in her heart.
