A certain day before summer vacation.
“Yao Shangxing! No slacking off in class!”
“Yao Shangxing! No playing with Li Chi’s hair in class!”
“Yao Shangxing! No cooking hot pot in class!”
“Yao Shangxing! No assembling stationery into a machine gun to assault your classmates!”
“Yao Shangxing! No treating the suspended school bully like a ball to play with!”
“Yao Shangxing! No expelling the principal who came to inspect as an outsider!”
“Yao Shangxing! No sleeping in class… Forget it, just sleep then.”
This is Class 2-4 of Canghai City First Senior High School, Li Chi’s class.
Looking at the student snoring loudly in the last row, a middle-aged teacher with a Mediterranean hairstyle felt despair.
How on earth did I end up with a student like you…
This is Li Chi’s homeroom teacher. Two years ago he had still been an outstanding teacher in Canghai City. He remains one even now.
The reason is simple. The only way he could keep the title of outstanding teacher was because he had accomplished something no other teacher in any school in Canghai City could manage—he had subdued a super, super, invincible problem child.
Yao Shangxing.
“Please, I’m begging you as your teacher. Playing on your phone is fine… but put the steel fork down! That’s your classmate, not a monster!”
“Stop making transformation devices for Li Chi! He’s a boy—he can’t transform into a magical girl!”
The restrained Yao Shangxing looked quite helpless and could only tuck the little gadget he had been fiddling with back into his bag.
“Thank you, Magical Girl Ai Xin. You’ve given me quite a bit of inspiration again.”
Yao Shangxing pulled an identical transformation device from his schoolbag and handed it to the music teacher standing outside the window with an awkward expression.
This music teacher had only started today. She had supposedly been transferred from the Magic Association specifically to prevent campus monster incidents. She was one of the very few magical girls who had publicly revealed her identity—though she had already “expired.”
“I say, this is only the first period of the day and you already can’t sit still?”
His good deskmate, the blue-haired girl (crossed out) boy Li Chi, voiced his question.
To be honest, he really regretted teaching his good buddy things he shouldn’t have taught.
How had an originally honest, well-behaved top student (crossed out) second-best student (crossed out) just-okay student (might as well cross it all out) kid turned into this?
“Sigh, you don’t understand. In two more months it’ll be the concert of the famous magical boy Ying Guang. I bought tickets ten days in advance. I even bought glow sticks for cheering. On the day of the concert I have to make sure Lord Ying Guang sees my passion!”
Yao Shangxing stomped one foot onto his desk and roared with great momentum.
“Um… it’s still class time. Calm down.”
Li Chi pressed him back into his seat.
“Yao bro, can you let me down now…”
Li Chi looked up. What met his eyes were the entire class of students hanging neatly from the classroom ceiling.
The speaker was a female classmate. Because today was April Fool’s Day, she had taken the lead in planning a prank on the teacher. They had placed a whole basin of cream above the classroom door, coated the entrance floor with lubricant, and set an inflatable mattress beside the podium.
According to the original plan, when the teacher walked in she would get cream on her face, lose her vision, step on the lubricant, and slide straight onto the inflatable mattress.
Unexpectedly, the teacher arrived late. All the little traps at the door landed on Yao Shangxing’s head instead.
Then, perhaps due to some miscalculation in weight, after Yao Shangxing slipped on the lubricant he did fall onto the inflatable mattress. However, the mattress’s inertia carried both him and itself straight through the window and out of the classroom.
Because of this little joke, Yao Shangxing ultimately flew into a decorative fountain not far from the classroom and made a spectacular fool of himself in front of the entire school.
What followed was the scene inside the classroom.
Except for Li Chi and the teacher, every other student had been neatly strung up from the ceiling with rope borrowed from the music teacher. No one knew why a magical girl would carry rope around, but he had lent it anyway.
“Oh, wait a little longer. There are still five minutes left.”
“O-Okay.”
Although it was only an accident, Yao Shangxing had genuinely suffered from the prank. Therefore, even while hanging from the ceiling, no one held any grudges.
“By the way, Teacher, would you like a cup of coffee?”
Yao Shangxing pulled another pack of coffee beans from his schoolbag and began grinding them on the spot with his equipment.
The Mediterranean middle-aged teacher: “…Putting aside the fact that it’s still class time, I’m really curious how you managed to fit so many things into that schoolbag.”
Yao Shangxing took out his schoolbag and gave the bottom a light pinch. The entire bag let out a miserable scream.
“Aaaahhh! …Where on earth is this place?! The person in front—you must be his teacher, right? You have to be his teacher! Please, save me! I swear I’ll never come out to cause trouble again!!!”
It turned out this was no ordinary schoolbag. This was a schoolbag monster that liked to eat schoolbags. When it went out causing trouble today, it had accidentally swallowed Yao Shangxing’s schoolbag and was forced to serve as his bag instead.
The schoolbag monster, about to struggle again, suddenly felt a wave of bone-chilling fear. This fear did not come from the absurdly strong boy from this morning, but from the terror of being stared down by an extremely hungry beast.
The schoolbag monster slightly turned its head—though whether it even had a head was unclear—and discovered the culprit that made its heart tremble.
Oh my god, what am I seeing?!
Behind a blue-haired girl, the figure of a black-purple dinosaur monster has actually appeared! That dinosaur monster will probably tear me to shreds on the spot!
This was the first magic Li Chi had learned—something picked up from the wild. It could create a small, targeted hallucination for a single person. After fabricating the illusion, he had slightly released Omega’s bloodthirsty aura. The schoolbag monster was scared stiff on the spot.
“Oh? Why did it faint?”
Yao Shangxing shook the monster in his hand in confusion, but no matter what he did, he couldn’t wake it up. He stuffed it back into his desk drawer.
“……”
The Mediterranean middle-aged teacher covered his heart with one hand and, with trembling fingers, popped a quick-acting heart pill into his mouth.
After recovering for a good while, the teacher returned to his previous state and righteously scolded,
“Yao Shangxing! No bullying monsters during class!”
“…Can I leave now?”
The principal, who had been stuffed into the classroom storage cabinet while disguised as an outsider, asked meekly.
“You’re not allowed to bully the principal either! Let the principal out, quick!”
“Huh? So he wasn’t an outsider?”
Yao Shangxing looked at the bald man with a fierce expression stuffed inside the storage cabinet, his face full of surprise.
“How could he be?! Isn’t the principal’s photo always posted in the hallway?!”
“But there weren’t two bears next to him. I remember the photo had two bears.”
“That thing can’t be carried around! Bringing bears into school would cause panic!”
Ding! Ding! Ding! Ding! Ding! Dong! Dong! Dong! Dong!
“Alright, class is over. Students, you may leave. Yao Shangxing, hurry up and untie the ropes. Li Chi, you help too… Where did he go?”
Before the Mediterranean middle-aged teacher could finish speaking, the only two students who had still been in their seats had already vanished without a trace.
“Sigh… Young people these days.”
The Mediterranean middle-aged teacher sighed helplessly. He had no choice but to open the storage cabinet first and rescue the bald principal from inside. Then the teacher and the principal worked together to untie the students from the ceiling one by one.
“Keep it up, Old Yang. Just endure a little longer. Later I’ll pull some strings and send this kid to the Magic Association. After that we won’t have to suffer anymore!”
“To get rid of him you’re even willing to abuse your authority? Principal, you really are too great!”
Ignoring the middle-aged teacher’s praise, the bald principal moved his sore, compressed muscles and bones, turned around, and left this troublesome place without looking back.
Too terrifying. That guy is a pure demon pill spawn.
