“Don’t act recklessly!”
Seeing this scene, the Fire Mage who had activated his magical shield began to sweat.
He swallowed hard, glanced left and right, and realized that his other companions had already fled.
“Pfft!”
Immediately, his fiery shield was pierced by the strike of the Runic Staff—a defense as fragile as paper.
A chestnut-like blow hit his abdomen directly, knocking him to the ground, drooling uncontrollably, his eyes almost popping out from the pain.
Samimi had originally planned to bash his head in too, promising to crack his skull, but now it seemed these fragile little mages couldn’t even survive a second hit from her.
“Niubao, go round up those who ran off and bring them back quickly,” Samimi ordered, stepping her foot onto the man’s head, her staff planted on the ground with a sharp clack.
Niubao instantly dashed out of the Junk Room, chasing after the fleeing Fire Mages and snatching up the Enchanted Holy Hammer of Thorns.
However, the fleeing Fire Apprentices had learned their lesson. Seeing the hammer, they immediately surrendered and begged for mercy, showing no intention of resisting.
Niubao captured them all and dragged each one back to the Main Hall, where they awaited their Punishment.
In the end, only two unlucky fools received a beating from Samimi’s Disciplinary Stick—though it wasn’t enough to satisfy her completely.
The two unconscious victims were then dragged to the center of the Main Hall as a public warning, terrifying the others.
But Samimi wasn’t completely insane; she hadn’t lost her mind enough to beat prisoners mercilessly.
“Carry these two away. They drooled on my carpet. Get them out of my sight, back to your Castle,” Samimi said, unwilling to waste words on these pawns, letting them drag the two unlucky fools away.
“Tell your Council President, Orange Lion, that tomorrow at noon, she should prepare herself. I will personally come to take her lion’s head.”
This was a signal—a message to those unbearable fools that the Resurrection Nun had returned for revenge.
The Fire Apprentices occupying the Moon of Darkness Hall dragged the two unconscious victims on either side and fled wildly across the grasslands.
Samimi and her two companions stood shoulder to shoulder at the entrance, watching their backs and the distant Castle Cluster.
They knew this time there was no turning back.
They were utterly at odds with the Magic Academy now.
If it’s a break, then let it break! What kind of scum dares to mock me every single day? Tomorrow, I’ll burn your Flame School to ashes!
After all, this was just the rules of a Delightful Novel World.
If you hit the Vice President, you have to hit the Council President.
This is a curse. It’s a binding of the World Will.
Running away won’t work. The World Law forbids being a coward.
You must overcome this hurdle. If you let the Council President who blocks your way crush you, you can’t advance to the next chapter.
“Brother Bao, Rebecca, the Saintess told us to get along peacefully with the Magic Academy, but it looks like we can’t complete that mission,” Samimi said, tapping her staff and looking at the distant, calm Magic Academy with a bitter smile.
“I’ve sworn to follow you all my life. Only Niubao is a comrade I recognize, and only you are the living saint I acknowledge,” Rebecca replied.
“What exactly is a living saint?” Samimi asked doubtfully.
“A living saint is someone who is said to perform miracles while alive. Currently, the only living saint recognized by the Church is Saintess Makima,” Rebecca explained.
“Hmph, I’m far from being a living saint. Wherever I go, I only spread disaster. Might as well call me a living dead,” Samimi quipped.
“Don’t be afraid. There are more than 120 Fire Apprentices. We only need one person to defeat forty of them,” Rebecca coldly said, throwing down a harsh remark.
“Let’s eat first,” Samimi said, suddenly at a loss for words.
“We’re going to throw out all their belongings—nothing gets spared,” Rebecca coldly added.
Is a Priestess even more ruthless than me?
Samimi covered her forehead, sweat dripping, only able to vent silently in her mind.
The Flame School’s Grand Castle was currently holding a banquet for senior members, an event only accessible to high-ranking apprentices.
This so-called “high-ranking” status was judged solely by bloodline within magical families, thankfully not based on actual skill.
The Continental Magic Academy? In the end, it was just a hollow stage.
The real power still lay hidden behind the scenes with the great magical families.
Magic users were still human. Wherever people gathered, there was rivalry; where there was rivalry, there was grudges. To resolve these grudges, people had to be ranked high or low.
Just as the banquet was in full swing, a senior sister hurriedly approached Orange Lion and whispered something in her ear.
“Everyone, please enjoy your meal,” Orange Lion forced a smile, then stood and left, heading to the corridor outside.
As soon as she arrived at the corridor, bathed in moonlight through the window, her smile vanished and her face darkened considerably.
“Is the news sealed off?” Orange Lion asked.
“It leaked a long time ago. This place is too small; everyone knows the Resurrection Nun has returned,” the senior sister replied.
“Hiss…”
Orange Fox gasped, glancing back at the banquet’s senior members, many of whom seemed to be like her—lower-ranked members sneaking in to spread the news.
Suddenly, the entire Flame School knew that haunting woman had returned, and she had declared that at noon tomorrow, she would come to take their lion’s head.
Their own school knew, so other schools must also know.
This news would spread like lightning to every corner of the Magic Academy.
“This is lawlessness! Lawlessness! Why can’t that blindfolded woman just behave and die quietly?” Orange Lion snarled, teeth gritting with anger.
But soon, her furious expression melted into a cruel smile, her eyes full of viciousness.
Because the second battle, and the Witch’s undercover betrayal, left the victory incomplete. Outsiders still believed the Flame School didn’t fairly defeat the Atonement Witch—that they only won thanks to outside help, and their reputation had plummeted without recovery.
Now, the damned Resurrection Nun was giving them a chance for a third battle.
Isn’t that good news? This is their opportunity to restore the Flame School’s name!
“Iyunli, send someone to call them back,” Orange Lion said coldly.
“Call them? All of them?” Iyunli asked.
“Of course not. Calling back the small fry is useless. Just call the big boss,” Orange Lion said.
“I’ll send the message immediately.” Iyunli hesitated for a moment, realizing this was serious, then turned and left.
“If you say calling outsiders for help doesn’t count, then this time, let the Fire Mages settle this grudge,” Orange Lion muttered, staring into the pitch-black window outside.
“Sister, there’s big trouble,” Red Lion came running swiftly from the end of the corridor, his nose still bandaged.
“Foolish brother, I’ve handled it. Get ready for tomorrow,” Peach Lion shook his head helplessly, truly disappointed in him.
