Mu Yingying had a beautiful dream.
In the dream, White Night was not a bicycle.
She was a soft, warm little girl wearing a white dress with chubby, pink cheeks.
She sat obediently on Mu Yingying’s lap, letting herself be held.
“Auntie Ying, you’re holding me too tight.”
“Of course I am. Auntie’s Little Bicycle finally has a physical body. Who would I be if I didn’t hold you more?”
In the dream, the tips of White Night’s ears turned red with shyness.
She huddled softly into Mu Yingying’s embrace.
Mu Yingying was so happy her mouth curled into a lopsided grin, shaped like a crescent moon.
She was just about to give the Little Bicycle’s head a good rub when the scene suddenly changed.
A hand reached out from behind and death-gripped her back collar.
“Mu Yingying.”
The voice was cold enough to freeze water.
Mu Yingying slowly turned her head. Little Frost stood behind her, her expression terrifyingly gloomy.
“What are you doing?”
“No, Shuang’er, listen to me lie… no, explain…”
Little Frost didn’t give her a chance to explain.
She slammed a punch right into Mu Yingying’s butt.
That punch carried the lingering resonance of Blood Qi Awakening.
Mu Yingying felt like her butt had instantly swollen by three circles, as if someone had stuffed two basketballs inside.
With a miserable shriek, she fell flat on the ground.
She couldn’t sit at all; she could only lie face down. Little Frost looked down at her from above.
“Loose woman. Shameless.”
Mu Yingying lay on the ground, tears nearly welling up.
“Mercy, good Shuang’er! My butt… my butt…”
She was startled awake.
Her eyes snapped open, and her breathing hitched for several beats.
The ceiling of the ruined house was covered in dust.
Morning light leaked through the Rift, drawing several crooked lines on the wall.
It was a dream.
Mu Yingying breathed a sigh of relief.
She subconsciously reached back to feel behind her. It was intact. It was rounded. It hadn’t swollen by three circles.
The weight on her heart finally lifted. She patted her butt and nodded in satisfaction.
‘Thank goodness, thank goodness…’
“Auntie Ying?”
White Night’s voice drifted over from the side, sounding a bit surprised.
Mu Yingying turned her head to see White Night’s Soul Body floating above the basket.
Her translucent, large eyes stared at her curiously—specifically at the hand she had just used to pat her own butt.
Mu Yingying didn’t feel awkward at all. Instead, she grinned.
“Morning, Little Bicycle.”
“Auntie Ying, what were you touching just now…?”
“Touching my own butt. I had a nightmare and had to make sure it was still there.”
As Mu Yingying spoke, she deliberately tilted her body. Her almond eyes curved as she looked at White Night. “What do you think, Little Bicycle? Does my butt look good? Is it plump?”
White Night’s Soul Body instantly turned from pale white to bright pink. “Au-Auntie Ying, can you act normal for once in the morning…?”
“Oh, come on, we’re all family. What’s the harm in looking?”
“Who’s family with you —”
White Night retracted her Soul Body into the basket.
Only her two twin-tails and a pair of eyes remained visible, while her ears were so pink they looked ready to drip.
Mu Yingying laughed even harder at the sight.
Teasing the Little Bicycle would never get old.
“Dammit, Yingying, you loose woman. You’re acting shameless first thing in the morning, aren’t you?”
A cold voice drifted over from the other side.
Little Frost was awake.
She was leaning against the wall, her hand still resting on White Night’s frame.
It was clear that as soon as she opened her eyes, she had witnessed Mu Yingying messing with White Night.
“Harassing our Little White Night this early.” Little Frost glared at her with a gaze that could kill. “Shameless.”
Mu Yingying shuddered. The lines were exactly the same as in the dream.
The gaze was exactly the same.
The lingering fear from the nightmare hadn’t fully dissipated.
She subconsciously touched her butt, making sure Little Frost’s fist wasn’t coming her way.
“No, good Shuang’er, I was just joking.” Mu Yingying rarely refrained from bickering.
She offered a flattering smile, her tone incredibly soft. “Look, look, I found something good for you.”
She produced a bottle of mineral water from behind her like a magic trick.
The bottle was a bit dirty, and the label was scuffed, but the water inside looked clear through the plastic.
“I found it last night. It hasn’t been opened yet. I specifically saved it for you to drink when you woke up. Have some water, good Shuang’er.” She handed the water over, smiling fawningly.
Little Frost took the bottle but didn’t open it.
Instead, she held it up against the light. “Did you poison the water?”
“Good Shuang’er, how could you think so poorly of me?” Mu Yingying put on a hurt expression.
“We’ve gone through life and death together. I carried you and Little White Night here even though I was heavily injured. I’m so misunderstood, boohoo…”
She covered her face and faked a sob, secretly observing Little Frost’s reaction through the gaps in her fingers.
Little Frost watched her rogue-like behavior, speechless for a long time.
However, she knew Mu Yingying was right.
Although the woman had a foul mouth and wandering hands, she had truly fought for her life yesterday.
Her injuries were even worse than Little Frost’s own.
Little Frost unscrewed the cap and tilted her head back to take several large gulps.
As the water slid down her throat, she felt much better.
“Hey, leave some for me!” Mu Yingying got anxious; she hadn’t had any yet.
“I thought you were bursting with energy this morning.” Little Frost glared at her.
“Chattering away and harassing our Little White Night, I figured you weren’t thirsty.”
Nevertheless, she handed the remaining water back.
Mu Yingying didn’t mind and drank the rest.
A bit of water overflowed from the corner of her mouth, trickling down her chin and onto her chest.
White Night poked her head out of the basket.
Watching her two aunties share the same bottle of water, the color of her Soul Body slowly faded from pink back to pale white, carrying a trace of warmth.
The morning light grew brighter.
After a night, the ointment’s effects were better than expected.
Little Frost moved her wrist, finding the pain significantly reduced.
The wound on Mu Yingying’s shoulder had also scabbed over.
Although they couldn’t move too vigorously, they at least wouldn’t wince at every touch.
Little Frost stood up and walked to the window of the ruined house to look outside.
The sky was a hazy gray. In the distance were the silhouettes of continuous ruins, with no signs of Weirdness activity.
“It’s time to go.”
She turned back to look at White Night.
White Night’s front wheel was still totaled.
She had 2 Points on her account, saved up from last night’s maintenance, but the cheapest tire in the System Shop cost 15 Points. She didn’t even have enough for the change.
“Little White Night, your front wheel…”
“It’s okay. I thought of a way.” White Night’s Soul Body floated to the front of the frame and pointed at the broken fork.
“The fork is still there; it’s just the wheel that’s gone. If we can find something to pad it, even if I can’t be ridden normally, I can at least be pushed along.”
Little Frost crouched down to examine the fork’s structure and thought for a moment. “Pushing is too slow.” She stood up and walked to White Night’s side.
“I’ll carry the front, and Mu Yingying can push the back.”
Mu Yingying finished the last drop of water and wiped her mouth. “Sure. I’m strong enough anyway.”
White Night froze for a moment. “You guys are going to… carry me the whole way?”
“Is there a problem?” Little Frost’s tone was flat, as if she were stating something perfectly normal.
White Night opened her mouth but couldn’t find the words.
She wanted to say no.
She wanted to say it was too much work.
She wanted to say they were still injured.
But she saw that Little Frost had already bent down and hoisted the bike onto her shoulder.
