“What on earth are you two doing!!!!”
Lumiya stood with her hands on her hips, golden eyes blazing with fury, her tail thumping against the floor. She glared coldly at Lin Xing and Little Green, both kneeling before her, and spoke icily.
“If I’d come home any later, would you have treated me to some R-rated scene, hmm?!”
“Little Green! Speak! What were you thinking!?”
Little Green’s face was flushed, her small head nearly buried in her utterly unremarkable chest.
Yet the effects of the alcohol hadn’t quite worn off. She steeled herself and blurted out,
“Lin Xing… he’s already my mate!”
As soon as she spoke, the already empty living room sank into a deathly silence.
“Lin Xing! And you! Do you have anything to say? Do you want me to help you turn yourself in to the police?!”
“How about the crime of forcing yourself on your Beast? I can testify in court for you, you know~”
With Lumiya’s chilling gaze locked onto him, Lin Xing opened his mouth, then shut it again.
In the end, he mumbled softly in his own defense that he was the one being forced or something like that.
Looking at the two silent fools before her, Lumiya recalled the scene she’d walked in on.
Little Green was straddling Lin Xing’s lap, her slender body gently swaying with unconscious movements, her calf occasionally brushing against Lin Xing’s knee beneath the hem of her skirt.
Her delicate fingers had already slipped past Lin Xing’s collar, reaching downward!
Thankfully, she’d come home just in time.
The sound of the door opening had snapped Lin Xing back to his senses, and he hurried to stop Little Green’s hand from reaching any further.
“So this is your last will and testament!?”
Lumiya stared at the pair, still stubbornly trying to justify themselves, as if weighing the possibility of a merciful end for them.
Sensing the murderous intent in Lumiya’s words, both of them shivered.
Little Green knew all too well that Lumiya wasn’t just bluffing—she hadn’t forgotten the shining “deeds” of Lumiya’s past.
Lin Xing also felt a chill run down his spine. Clearly, he’d just been caught by a tiny loli.
So why did it feel like a wife catching her husband cheating?
Though their reasons were different, their reactions were the same—they both slid forward on their knees and confessed to Lumiya at the speed of light.
“We’re sorry, Lumiya!! We promise it won’t happen again!”
Seeing their sincere repentance, Lumiya’s anger eased just a little.
She had finally managed to make Little White take a step back, at least staying behind her for once,
But before she’d even had time to warn Little Green, this happened.
“Little Green! You, come here!”
With a glance at Little Green, Lumiya headed for the balcony first.
When Little Green nervously shuffled over, Lumiya raised her hand with a wave, and an invisible Barrier enveloped the balcony.
Lin Xing couldn’t hear what they were discussing, but when he saw Little Green nodding again and again with tears in her eyes, he knew—
Lumiya had completely overwhelmed her!
Just as Lin Xing was silently mourning for Little Green and wondering if he should go and rescue her,
“Lin Xing! Come here!”
At some point, Lumiya and Little Green’s conversation had ended.
Little Green no longer looked timid or scared like she had going in. She even glanced at him and blinked, as if she was a little pleased with herself?
Lumiya, meanwhile, leaned against the balcony railing, fixing him with a cold stare.
Well, no need to wonder whether to save Little Green now—she’d survived. Time to think about how to save himself.
Dragging his feet, Lin Xing shuffled onto the balcony. Under Lumiya’s look of utter contempt, he felt a bit ashamed—he’d ignored Lumiya’s feelings.
This was definitely his fault. Most of the time he’d been forced into things, but if he’d truly wanted to refuse, he could have.
He’d always liked to joke around with Lumiya and Little Green, calling them “wife,” “cute,” “want to touch” and such.
But it wasn’t as if he’d never fantasized that maybe, one day, these words would come true.
Today, both Little White and Little Green had completely surpassed his expectations.
To say he felt nothing for either of them would be a lie; no normal person wouldn’t fantasize whether the other side liked them back.
Especially since, in this world, most humanoid Beasts ended up marrying their Beast Tamer, and since one person could have more than one Beast, it was perfectly normal to have beauties in both arms.
When did I end up like this? Lumiya was clearly my first Beast, so why did I ignore her feelings?
Lumiya looked at the somewhat ashamed Lin Xing, hesitated for a moment, then asked uncertainly,
“Lin Xing, you…”
“I swear! Lumiya, I’ll never ignore your feelings again! I know you’re afraid I’ll neglect you once I get closer to the others.”
“I promise you—”
Lin Xing took a deep breath, his voice dead serious.
“No matter what happens in the future, any partner I take will need your approval. If you don’t give your blessing, then I’ll stay with you…!? Why are you kicking me?”
Before he could finish, Lumiya, her face burning red, gave him a sharp kick.
“Don’t get all sappy with me! Who says I’m afraid you’ll neglect me! I just won’t allow you to…”
Halfway through her sentence, Lumiya suddenly clammed up, glancing at Lin Xing curled up on the ground, pretending to be dead, as if she’d just thought of something.
Her eyes shifted from lazy to serious in an instant.
“Don’t you want to see something good~? Lift your head, and I’ll show you something really nice~”
Lin Xing hunched his shoulders and looked up, grumbling inwardly.
What could possibly be “really nice”? Was she about to thrash him?
But faced with Lumiya’s threatening golden slit-pupils, he could only nod obediently.
“Uh? What’s so nice?”
Lumiya smirked mysteriously.
With her hands hidden behind her back, she tiptoed close to his ear, her voice dropping to a seductive whisper.
“Close your eyes first~ I promise it’s something you’ve never seen before~”
Lin Xing’s lips twitched.
Why would he need to close his eyes? Was Lumiya afraid he’d run away?!
No way she was about to conjure up a beautiful girl for him, right?
