“Wow! So close! You almost caught me~ Big kitty, if you try just a little harder, I might not be able to fly anymore!”
Glancing over at the Flame Tiger being relentlessly toyed with on the other side,
Wu Yan’s temple veins bulged with anger, but he was helpless.
The Fire Cage could limit teleportation, but Little Green was just too fast—it was impossible to lock her down.
He took a deep breath and changed tactics: “Flame Tiger! Blazing Sun Burst!”
The Fiery Sun Flame Tiger understood instantly.
The flames around its body contracted sharply, then suddenly exploded outward!
A massive fireball detonated at the center of the arena, and the searing fire wave swept in all directions, even making the protective barrier glow with bursts of white light.
When the fire wave subsided, a trace of smugness flashed in Wu Yan’s eyes.
This move was a wide-range attack—let’s see her dodge this!
But the next second, his smile froze.
Little Green was perched leisurely on the railing at the edge of the arena, calmly preening her feathers, not a single scorch mark on her body.
Lin Xing watched Little Green, who was handling the field with ease, and a smile tugged at the corners of his lips.
“You still have time to be distracted?”
Lin Xing kindly offered the reminder, but the arrow in his hand was already flying straight at Wu Yan!
A direct hit! A bloody hole appeared on Wu Yan’s shoulder!
Wu Yan panicked completely. That little bird hadn’t used space teleportation at all—he’d forgotten she was an Emerald Sky Bird!!
He gritted his teeth and decided to go all out: “Flame Tiger! Blazing Sun!”
The Fiery Sun Flame Tiger let out a deafening roar.
Flames surged wildly around its body, its size doubling in an instant.
Its tiger eyes blazed with fierce fire, and even its fur took on a layer of fiery golden red.
A decisive look flashed in Wu Yan’s eyes.
Ignoring the bleeding wound on his shoulder, he roared, gripped the Flame Blade tightly, and charged at Lin Xing alongside the now-enlarged Fiery Sun Flame Tiger.
The blade, wreathed in scorching wind, swung straight at Lin Xing’s face, while the Flame Tiger’s claws, burning with red-gold fire, swept at his waist and abdomen.
Man and tiger attacked like a torrential storm.
This pincer attack looked a lot like Zhao Lei and the Thunder Crystal Lion’s combo from before!
The whole time, Little Green had been teasing the Flame Tiger from above.
When she saw the Flame Tiger ignore her and rush straight for Lin Xing, the playful glint vanished from her eyes, replaced by a sharp, chilling light.
She whipped both wings forward. Her cyan-blue feathers burst into a spray of sparkling light in the airflow.
A half-meter-long emerald green slash suddenly appeared in front of the Flame Tiger, blocking its path.
With each sweep of Little Green’s wings, more emerald green space slashes interwove and spread out like a spiderweb.
In just a few breaths, a semi-transparent Space Imprisonment was woven around the Fiery Sun Flame Tiger.
No matter how frantically the Fiery Sun Flame Tiger clawed and bit, its red-gold flaming claws striking the space slashes only sent out distorted ripples in the air.
Those slashes were like blades rooted in the void—neither fading nor fighting back—simply locking its movements in place, leaving it howling and struggling without budging an inch.
After finishing, Little Green gently landed on the ground and calmly lowered her head to preen her feathers.
It wasn’t that she didn’t want to help Lin Xing, but she really didn’t have much magic left to use.
She wasn’t like Lumiya, who retained her original power.
Right now, she was a proper Tier 0, 5-star.
Being able to form such a solid space barrier was thanks to her understanding and experience with space.
She could borrow Lin Xing’s magic, but, well~
Little Green glanced sidelong at Lin Xing.
At that moment, Lin Xing was walking step by step toward Wu Yan, a faint silver-white glow emanating from his hand.
Wu Yan wasn’t far away, his long blade still raised high, muscles taut all over his body.
But strangely, Wu Yan stood motionless as Lin Xing approached, like a wooden puppet.
Even when Lin Xing stood right in front of him and aimed a dagger at him, he still didn’t move a muscle.
Not until the Referee announced the end did Wu Yan finally snap out of it, his body soaked in sweat.
He stared blankly at the Flame Blade in his hand. The fire on the blade had already dimmed, and the wound on his shoulder still ached faintly.
Just now, for a split second, he felt his whole body bound by an invisible force, watching Lin Xing walk step by step toward him, unable to move until the Referee’s voice finally ended it all.
Lin Xing put away his dagger and nodded slightly to Wu Yan.
“Your teamwork was very smooth—you were just a bit unlucky.”
Wu Yan forced a bitter smile, sheathed his blade, and walked over to the Fiery Sun Flame Tiger, gently stroking the bruises where it had bashed into the Space Imprisonment, his voice filled with disappointment.
“Yeah, just really unlucky……..” To be matched against you, luck really wasn’t on my side.
He was confident that against any of the other two, things wouldn’t have turned out so badly. But fate had it that his opponent was Lin Xing.
The Fiery Sun Flame Tiger rubbed its head against his palm, letting out a low whine, as if to comfort its Beast Master.
Little Green flew onto Lin Xing’s shoulder, shaking her silly feather proudly atop her head.
“How about that, how about that? I’m amazing, right! I told you, these big cats are easy to deal with!”
Lin Xing smiled and rubbed her head.
“Very impressive. Do your best next time, too.”
Not far away, Lumiya slowly got up from her cushion, swaying her dragon tail as she walked toward them.
Lumiya had actually been sneaking glances this way the whole time.
When she saw Little Green and Lin Xing win, she closed her eyes again and pretended she’d just woken up.
“You won? Didn’t expect you to be this capable~”
