She opened her eyes, and it happened in almost the next instant.
Just as she had expected, Gabriella woke in the mansion bedroom.
Isabella was keeping watch at her side as usual and had woken early.
Perhaps because they had gotten up a little late, the scent of food was already rising from the dining table.
“Wife, another dream~? Was it about Loli again?”
Changed into a new white dress, Gabriella was helped to the table and picked up her knife and fork.
“Mm…”
While she ate, she explained the scenes from the dream to Isabella, including, of course, what the Evil God had once gone through on the other plane.
Isabella looked thoughtful.
“I really didn’t know any of this. The things [She] hid must be connected to all of that.”
“That’s right. You really are a dummy, not even daring to tell me something this small.”
Gabriella said it half in jest.
“The me of that time wouldn’t have felt the slightest fear even if I’d been given an order to destroy the world~”
“That’s just love…”
“It means dummy Isabella hasn’t fully mastered her own power.”
Gabriella looked into her eyes as she spoke.
“No matter who describes [Shadow], she looks far stronger than the current Demon King.”
“Wife, are you saying I’m too weak?”
“Of course. A dummy whose head is full of me—if you’d trained earlier, wouldn’t you already be ruling the world by now?”
Isabella’s eyes were written over with grievance.
Gabriella could already imagine how she would be treated tomorrow night, or the night after.
Isabella refused to dominate Gabriella completely and gave her enough “personal space,” yet the moment certain feelings rose she would activate the Cursed Ring and a whole series of controls meant for a demon’s kin, and do some very strange things.
It was too late to apologize.
Once Isabella started feeling wronged, she would misunderstand something.
The “punishment” came faster than expected.
Isabella picked up a piece of cake from the table and walked behind Gabriella.
One hand gently massaged Gabriella’s waist and abdomen, as if feeling the rhythm of the life inside.
“Looks like the child hasn’t started growing yet~?”
“The mana-coordination period isn’t over…”
There were no other maids around, and no Creis.
Isabella had clearly become far too forward.
She was even more intimate than she had been in the residential palace, because in those times it had always been Gabriella who took the lead.
She half-crouched and set her other hand on Gabriella’s thigh.
“Glk…”
“Haah…”
Just as before, there was no possibility of resistance.
Perhaps because of the long coordination of mana, that pure white holy body had already become Isabella’s puppet.
A light tease was enough to make it open on its own, then tremble and close again, as if it had fallen into being delicious nourishment for Isabella’s thoughts.
“Haah… I-it’s still daytime.”
“Daytime. So what?”
“I… nnh…”
Isabella did not stop, and she began to pour in the [Gift].
It was several times denser than it had first been in the residential palace.
With every surge, the holy body seemed to respond and fit itself more closely to the eroded soul, pushing what little reason Gabriella had recovered out of her.
“She won’t notice.”
“Nnh… N-no… don’t let Mother find out…”
Gabriella arched on instinct, yet her body only pressed more tightly to the chair.
Seeming to decide that making Gabriella gasp was not enough, Isabella lightly bit her neck and played with the Cursed Ring until it lit up.
Only then did Isabella stop.
Her eyes, though, were full of understanding.
“Master, Master… I was wrong… nnh…”
It was a pity the misunderstanding ran too deep.
If that dummy Mother saw what was on the floor and on her legs, it would be over!
“I thought my wife wanted it…”
“I did not…”
“Because that’s how it used to be.”
“You’re a dummy.”
Gabriella looked at Isabella’s innocent face and suddenly could not tell whether she was doing it on purpose or had truly misunderstood.
Fortunately Gabriella was the one who cleaned the room.
After she finished, she wiped away the “evidence” with a towel.
She used water magic to scrub the strange scent from her body, and only then…
Gabriella’s shy gasps only eased several minutes later.
She looked at Isabella with her fiercest glare, only to find that the more she stared, the redder Isabella’s face became.
This dummy, does she think I’m acting cute?!
As if to cover something, Isabella immediately changed the subject.
“Simona’s idea is for us to visit Monastar as guests.”
“Guests?” Gabriella forced down a bellyful of small resentment and asked, “Did you work that out with Queen Letitia?”
“Yes. Miss Roselyn had a hand in it too. She’s the one who told Miss Letitia they could move. Simona just stole a step on them.”
Roselyn was a cautious Heavenly Oracle Envoy, cautious to the point of strangeness.
They had only just discussed sealing Creis to keep her from fleeing.
And now she had actually agreed?
“They think Creis is no longer a threat.”
“Mm-hm.”
Isabella nodded, and her smile seemed to hide an information gap Gabriella did not know about.
Gabriella suddenly realized the problem as well and lifted her head.
“That isn’t right. Was Creis actually sealed by you? Besides, today should be her shift.”
Creis and Isa had swapped shifts yesterday, so by custom it should have been Creis’s turn today.
And right now Isabella seemed very certain Creis would not discover their relationship.
She was even “conspiring out loud” about the next part of the plan.
Gabriella was a little unused to it.
“Today really is Creis’s shift, actually. She’ll just be a little late.”
Isabella glanced at her watch. “Why don’t you ask her yourself~?”
Gabriella nodded.
A moment later Isabella walked out of the bedroom, a faint smile on her face.
Several minutes after that, Creis—Gabriella’s Mother—entered the bedroom.
She still looked as she always had.
That charming, cute body was “sealed” inside a maid outfit.
A look like calm indifference hung on her cute face.
The little cute habits she had cultivated at Olivia’s side made this Celestial God especially soft.
If there was any difference from the Creis of before, it was the metal ring at her neck, which did seem to have sealed her power.
No.
Her power had not been sealed.
Something else had changed.
Gabriella studied her Mother carefully.
Just now, the instant Creis stepped cautiously into the bedroom, Gabriella felt a familiar demonic aura on this dummy of a mother.
“Mother?”
Creis trembled.
After she closed the door, she walked quietly to Gabriella’s side.
“D-Daughter.”
She stammered, as if a fierce struggle were taking place inside her.
