Chapter 27: The Power of the Celestial Maiden

That small mountain wasn’t within the boundaries of the Ancient Battlefield, but Mu Chenxi could clearly feel that something seemed to be mysteriously drawing her toward it.

“What did you find?”

Bai Yue followed her gaze, but saw only an ordinary little mountain, feeling a bit puzzled inside.

Mu Chenxi asked anxiously.

Bai Yue shook her head and sighed.

“No. We kept exploring straight west, but found nothing. Next time, let’s try a different direction—northwest.”

She had just explained the new plan to Mu Chenxi.

In the sky, a pitch-black Space Rift formed again, and the Fire Demon stepped out.

“Chenxi, remember—protect yourself. Don’t worry about me!”

Bai Yue reminded her once again.

Mu Chenxi nodded hard, clenching her fists tightly.

Even though she had made up her mind to obey Master’s words, the thought of watching Master be burned to ashes made her heart ache as if cut by a knife.

“Fire Demon! Why do you want to kill me?!”

This time, Bai Yue spoke first.

She seemed to have made up her mind, trying to extract useful information from the Fire Demon.

The Fire Demon sneered, its voice sharp and piercing.

The Fire Demon glanced at her dismissively, completely ignoring her.

The light gathered together, slowly drifting toward the Full Moon in the sky.

The Fire Demon flashed forward, reaching out to grab, but caught nothing.

The light was formless, impossible to seize!

It tried to envelop it with Demon Flame, but still couldn’t trap the faint glow at all.

The Fire Demon was enraged.

With a roar, it chased after the rapidly rising light without hesitation.
