Chapter 25: Confrontation

In the corridor, Bai was walking towards her room, pondering over what exactly the relationship was between that shameless Vampire and her master.

“Bang!”

Suddenly, a loud crash came from upstairs, and right after, the whole mansion shook, nearly knocking Bai off her feet.

Bai swallowed nervously and looked up at the ceiling.

“What on earth just happened…”

She had barely walked away before the place suddenly shook. Could it be that her master and that person started fighting?

If that person wins, would she have a chance to sneak away?

With that, she walked out without looking back.

As the door slowly closed, Yalbera’s expression darkened once more.

One of her hands clenched tightly, as if she was struggling to hold something back.

She really wanted to kill that bastard on the spot…

In her room, Bai sat at her desk, still racking her brains.

After returning, she had tried again and again, but still hadn’t succeeded.

She had finally mustered the courage to seek out her master, but the moment she saw her master’s state, she gave up immediately.

“How am I supposed to learn this…”

Bai muttered irritably.

Just then…

“Hey, little one, what are you reading?”

“Wah!”

A familiar, annoyingly cheeky voice came from behind, startling Bai so much that she toppled backward off her chair.

A grinning, upside-down face was looking right at her.

“Lady Lilith! Sneaking up behind people like that is really scary!”

Bai added.

But Lilith just kept on grinning, showing no sign of remorse for her behavior.

“Who told you not to lock your door? I thought no one was here.”

“Bai!”

Bai was about to retort, but suddenly fell silent.

After all, she was the master’s guest, and it was very out of line for Bai to yell at her like this.

Bai opened her mouth but hesitated, her face showing uncertainty, as if she was debating whether to say it.

Lilith raised an eyebrow, thinking to herself.

She took the initiative: “What’s wrong, having trouble? Want me to teach you? Ask anything you want, I guarantee you’ll learn it.”

Bai’s face turned a little red, and she coughed.
