In Creis’s mind appeared the figure of Raltomia, that girl known as the [God Successor].
Fighting against strong opponents often required caution—not being overly cautious of her moves during battle, but because battles between the strong had too wide an impact.
One needed to weigh the value of starting a fight.
So she had first chosen to communicate, only to be countered by Raltomia in a cold yet pleasant voice.
“Several decades ago, the royal capital’s alchemists piled up mountains of magic puppets and created the first command device. It could perform simple logical thinking and discrimination, emitting creaking mechanical sounds like a patient. It was called the [Executor].”
“It had no emotions and couldn’t perceive human emotions, so it couldn’t even make the most basic judgments. In the end, the king killed that alchemist and scrapped the Executor. Creis, you give me the same feeling as the Executor, you know.”
The more Creis thought about it, the more she felt Raltomia’s ignorance.
Yet she herself hadn’t expected that one day she would actually feel happy about it.
These words echoed in Creis’s mind.
She had always believed that many emotions were unnecessary existences.
Feelings—she had actively suppressed them.
But now she discovered that in order to make changes, she could only pick these things up again and even hold them tightly in her arms.
To prevent them from slipping away like they had with Gabriella and Olivia.
That was why she had cut off those unnecessary branches and meaningless time.
It was still early—not yet one in the morning. Olivia was still awake.
Creis knocked on Olivia’s room door.
At the same time, she used gravity to perceive that Olivia was standing in front of the glass window.
The latter came forward and opened the door for her.
“Creis…?”
Olivia looked as if she was about to sleep.
She was wrapped in a white towel, her full breasts and half of her thighs completely covered by the fabric.
Her silver-white long hair wasn’t fully dry, just like her dew-covered fair and delicate body—quite a feast for the eyes.
“I’m looking for you. There’s something.”
“Come in.”
Olivia didn’t refuse.
After closing the door, she took her hand and walked to the bedside.
The two sat down together.
Olivia arranged her hair.
She skillfully tied it into a braid with a hair tie, watching Creis out of the corner of her eye.
“What’s wrong? Why do you look like you have something on your mind?”
“I went to talk with Isa.”
Creis waited a moment before answering.
“About Gabriella’s condition… how is it?”
The shock on Olivia’s face hadn’t completely faded, because Isa was the evil god herself!
She had said she wanted to marry their daughter away.
After speaking, Olivia’s hand arranging her hair stopped.
She looked at Creis’s face with a stunned expression.
For a brief moment, she seemed to understand something, yet it also felt like an illusion.
At the very least, she hadn’t discovered that Isa was the evil god in disguise.
“I guess you didn’t agree.”
“I didn’t refuse either.”
“The sun rose from the west. I thought you always disliked Isa very much.”
“I don’t really dislike her. At first, I was just very suspicious. She kept approaching Gabriella with a kind of probing and desire toward her, but she also kept protecting Gabriella. I don’t think she poses any threat to Gabriella. It’s not something a guard could do at all, yet she still kept protecting her. That doesn’t mean I have to agree, though.”
Olivia continued along her words, the water on her body not yet fully dry.
“What if the daughter gets abducted?”
At first, Creis remained silent.
Olivia reached out and touched the top of her head.
Only then did Creis turn to look at her.
She didn’t dare meet Olivia’s eyes.
Olivia’s gaze was deep, as if it could make Creis sink to the bottom of the sea.
“Although I don’t know why you suddenly want to ask about this topic, I’ll still explain it~ After we Heavenly Oracle Envoys get pregnant, we need a very long period of rest and recuperation. The body’s magic power will become violently chaotic, starting to become disorderly and disorganized. That forces our thinking patterns to change, making us extremely fragile. So at the time, I was in great pain… That feeling was very cold and helpless.”
Creis found it hard to imagine the scene Olivia had experienced.
But looking at her pale face, she could understand some of the pain she had endured.
“I’m sorry. That must have been a very painful thing. I… I apologize to you. I’m sorry, and I’m sorry again.”
“Creis?” This was the third time Olivia had been surprised tonight.
This wooden-headed Creis had actually apologized to someone one day?
If one didn’t know better, they would think she had taken the wrong medicine! No—this situation must be thanks to the evil god’s “miraculous healing hands.”
Yet she still found it hard to imagine—an apology and a ashamed expression appearing on Creis at the same time.
“Recently, daughter started understanding me. Olivia is not a useless existence. You were right—the prerequisite for making her understand me is to understand her. Emotions are not useless existences. So at that time, I felt very happy. I thought about how good it would be if Gabriella could continue like this. That way, we would never have a rift again.”
“A rift. So your relationship really…”
Creis was like a young girl admitting her mistake, making it hard to raise the thought of punishing her. Olivia even felt some heartache.
She began to think—perhaps Creis was simply not good at expressing herself. The tragedy hadn’t been her original intention.
Seeing the faint smile and hesitation on her face, Olivia was somewhat moved.
She curved her lips.
“Creis, just an apology isn’t enough, you know. As a god, you should understand that, right~?”
“I don’t plan to persuade you that way either.”
As Olivia spoke, she stood up and walked in front of Creis.
She placed her hands on Creis’s shoulders, then gently pushed, pressing her down onto the bed.
Creis instinctively pressed her legs together, looking at Olivia with a dazed, ignorant gaze.
With Olivia’s help, their ten fingers interlocked, lips and teeth meeting.
Fair thighs wrapped in white stockings overlapped.
Just from the light touch, Creis let out a sound.
“Ha… hah.”
Creis panted softly, as if touched on a fragile yet suppressed shyness in her heart.
Her legs instinctively clamped together, the blush on her face becoming even more obvious.
“Creis, how do you want to persuade me~?” Olivia licked her lips.
“I… persuade…”
“You said you wanted to fall in love with me, right.”
Before Creis could think of a reply, Olivia took the initiative and gave the answer.
“Then I’ll teach you how to ‘love.’”
