Flame Saint Hertitz was locked in the inner room at the end of the corridor on the left side of the first-floor entrance.
Because it was a small room opened at the corner and required turning right the room appeared even more inconspicuous.
Creis and Olivia had directly imprisoned Flame Saint Hertitz in this room.
Coincidentally the facilities inside were complete… meaning it had a bathroom a shower and a living room dining area everything one could need.
It was completely on the level of a small hotel suite.
Gabriella suddenly felt that this person was living a bit too well.
Even as a captive she could still sleep soundly and eat normal food.
Morphis and Philina still did not know about this matter.
Right now they basically knew nothing.
Of course they would know in the future.
Gabriella still had things to discuss with Hertitz so she had not sent her to a cruel prison.
Compared to that kind of place this mansion was practically a natural prison.
After all some of the strongest people in the world were gathered here.
When she opened the door Gabriella saw Hertitz who had already been settled on the sofa.
At this moment her hands and feet were no longer bound.
However metal rings that restricted power had been installed around her neck and wrists.
They were an improved version made by Olivia.
The wall behind the mural and under the dining table had obvious traces of carved magic arrays.
Normally they could not be seen with the naked eye.
But ever since she had recovered her Saint Body and her demon physique had strengthened her vision Gabriella could even clearly see a bird flying nine kilometers away as long as she concentrated.
She gently closed the door and walked to Hertitz’s side.
The latter also raised her head to look at her.
It was still noon.
There was still lunch on Hertitz’s table that had been eaten completely clean.
Especially the noodles and onion soup had been finished down to the last drop.
Anyone who did not know would think Hertitz was here on vacation.
“Were you starving all this time?” Gabriella said with a mix of amusement and helplessness.
“……I haven’t eaten much recently.”
Hertitz answered.
But after hearing Gabriella’s voice she immediately became vigilant.
Seeing the bread crumbs still at the corner of her mouth Gabriella could roughly understand why Miss Flame Saint’s chest was so large…
Even though her height was not much different from Morphis the full curves made her look much more mature.
A gray shirt a dark red half-skirt and black leggings.
Her head of orange-yellow hair looked even more like the styling of a flame phoenix.
In the depths of Gabriella’s memories there truly was such a similar existence.
“On the way here the knights let me bring some biscuits and water. I lost them halfway. I don’t know where they went…”
As Hertitz spoke her expression turned ashen.
Her mood did not look very good.
There was a kind of joy from surviving a disaster a kind of hope upon seeing Gabriella and also a kind of despair from being imprisoned.
“I haven’t eaten for three days now. I didn’t eat last night either.”
“Then I misunderstood you.”
“Misunderstood what?”
“It’s nothing.”
Gabriella covered her mouth and smiled as she sat down opposite her.
From the looks of it things were progressing quite smoothly.
At least Hertitz was displaying a cheerful appearance.
But there was always a kind of vigilance in her eyes.
It was like meeting a tight-lipped friend.
They could chat and laugh with each other yet still had secrets hidden deep in their hearts.
Hertitz’s probing carried a trace of caution.
“Miss Gabriella have you lost your memory?”
If there was anything different about her compared to the other Heavenly Oracle Envoys it was that she did not completely trust Gabriella as a Heavenly Oracle Envoy.
If her guess was not wrong the Heavenly Oracle Envoys were fighting machines meant to carry out their Mission.
Their loyalty to the “leader” could even be compared to that group of professional killers who had been trained since childhood.
The reason she remained vigilant was because above Hertitz there was a new “bellwether”.
This was inevitable.
“It should be like that. That’s what Miss Creis told me.”
Gabriella smiled and said “But actually I have remembered some things. For example that I am a goddess and that we once launched a war against humanity things like that.”
“So that’s how it is?!”
“That’s right.”
Gabriella shook her head. “But under those circumstances it wasn’t very good to tell you.”
“Miss Gabriella let’s leave this place.” Hertitz raised her head and looked into Gabriella’s eyes as she spoke.
She was serious.
She stood up as if she had suddenly made some kind of decision.
But Gabriella only shook her head.
Actually besides Elsa and Liya she could not remember having any interactions with the Flame Saint.
They were both Heavenly Oracle Envoys and that was all.
“Please allow me to refuse Miss Hertitz. Actually I personally also find it quite abrupt.”
“Is that so?”
“The obvious malice. Actually I don’t understand it very well either. From Creis I learned that you have a very… I don’t know why you want to fight?”
Gabriella clasped her hands together interlaced her fingers tilted her head and smiled.
“I came here to have a proper talk with you.”
“What?!”
Gabriella smiled and then threw a heavy bomb at Hertitz.
“I will release you tomorrow.”
“But I have one request. I don’t want the war to affect Creis and Olivia. These people are very important to me. Of course there are also the maids here Miss Isa Morphis and the others.”
Hertitz’s delicate body trembled.
Of course she knew that Morphis and the others were also here.
But she had not expected that Gabriella was not only not imprisoned but was actually the “master” of this place.
Perhaps Lightia was wrong… No if it was Creis’s doing she absolutely would not let it go.
Hertitz tensed her body pressed her legs together and looked toward the floor.
Her right hand resting on the sofa had nowhere to place itself in anxiety and finally rested on her knee.
She raised her head.
There was even more seriousness in her gaze.
“Lord Gabriella if we don’t resist it might already be too late.”
“Why would you come to that conclusion~? Actually our grudges have already vanished along with the [Mission].”
In Hertitz’s eyes appeared an emotion that Gabriella had not captured just now.
This emotion was called “fear”.
It was as if she had recalled some frightening scene fragments.
Her face turned pale.
“Under the maintenance of the Heavenly Oracle Envoys the Church is actually still operating. Clearly ten thousand years have already passed. Humanity has not gone extinct. The Church has not disappeared.”
Hertitz’s voice was very soft yet it also gave Gabriella a heavy feeling.
