Just as Bai Huizi had said, it would not be long before Shen Cishu became her instructor.
However, Su Li was not particularly worried about it.
Whether she actually attended Shen Cishu’s classes was another matter entirely.
After all, if she had work to do during the day, she would not have much time for school.
Learning could certainly improve her, but the classroom was not the only place to gain knowledge.
There were many videos online now, and if one wanted to learn, there were plenty of ways to go about it.
However, the quality of teaching videos was inconsistent.
To acquire true knowledge, nothing beat being in a school environment.
Still, if Bai Huizi assigned her a task, there would be no problem with her attending class and interacting with Shen Cishu.
Even if Shen Cishu had not left her with a very good impression last time, maintaining a relationship with her was not Su Li’s primary goal. Making money was.
“I understand, Sister Bai,” Su Li said.
She sat on a stool not far from Bai Huizi, letting the water from the shower pour over the older woman while she silently endured the cold wind.
After filling a basin with warm water, she took hold of Bai Huizi’s foot and pressed it into the basin, using her hands to massage the fair, tender skin.
Su Li suspected that even without her massage and cleaning, Bai Huizi’s feet were specially maintained.
Otherwise, they would not feel as hydrated as an infant’s skin or be so comfortable to the touch.
The lemon fragrance of the bath salts rose with the steam. Her foam-covered thumb pressed firmly against a thin callus on the joint of the big toe.
Bai Huizi’s toes suddenly curled, and the resulting splash of water landed on Su Li’s arm.
The droplets flowed slowly down her slender limb before dripping back into the basin.
“Sister Bai, you don’t usually walk much. Why did you grow a callus? Is it because of your shoes?”
“Well, I am quite busy, you know. Otherwise, how would I earn money to spend on little Su Li? If I’m not careful, a callus will grow. It’s just how it is,” Bai Huizi said in a lazy tone. She felt that the way Su Li handled the callus was quite pleasant.
“If little Su Li can learn some maintenance techniques, I wouldn’t mind letting you earn all this money in the future. Compared to others, I’d much rather give my money to you.”
Su Li turned the foot over and gently pushed at the dead skin with a pair of nail clippers.
She spoke slowly, “I will work hard to learn and improve myself.”
She had known from very early on that providing a service required more than just a pretty face.
A stable temperament and constant self-improvement were also essential.
Bai Huizi’s toes, painted a deep wine red, brushed against the inside of Su Li’s wrist, leaving a wet trail.
The warm water was changed three times, and Su Li used a washcloth to wipe across the veins on the bridge of the foot.
Lather from the shower gel piled up in the hollow of the ankle as she circled her hand around the heel repeatedly until the skin turned a faint shade of pink.
“Have you heard the story of the janitor from Japan?”
Su Li nodded. In truth, she was not sure if that story was real or not. It did not matter much to her; she just thought the idea was a bit disgusting.
Bai Huizi sat on the bathroom stool while Su Li focused on her foot care.
A few slices of lemon floated in the warm basin as Su Li used a scrub to gently massage the calluses on the other woman’s heels.
“I heard that professional technicians even clean between the toes very carefully.”
Bai Huizi shook her left foot, which was already freshly painted in wine red, and watched as Su Li used a cotton swab to meticulously clean between the toes of her right foot.
As a cold wind blew through the bathroom, she wrapped her towel tighter and laughed.
“Being this serious… little Su Li, you could probably go take the exam for a nursing certification.”
“Something like that wouldn’t be able to stump me.”
Bai Huizi leaned her chin on her hand, watching Su Li’s lowered eyelashes.
Suddenly, she poked her toes into Su Li’s palm.
“Little Su Li, do you think the protagonist of that story had some kind of special fetish? Just like how some people like to eat a girl’s feet, did she just really love drinking water from the toilet?”
Su Li thought for a moment before answering, “I’m not quite sure about that. But if it were your feet, Sister Bai, I imagine many people would like them.”
She had to admit that Bai Huizi was quite fond of cleanliness.
Her feet did not actually need much treatment; even a simple wash with clear water left them fair and clean.
Su Li did not know if Bai Huizi was a germaphobe, but she did not dislike people who enjoyed being clean.
At the very least, it meant she did not have to carry various bags of trash downstairs every day.
“If it were someone else touching my feet, I would only find it disgusting. But if it’s little Su Li, I don’t mind at all. You should know that even if Big Thunder tried to rub against my feet, I would kick her away.”
Su Li thought of Big Thunder, the cat who had been left at her home and seemingly forgotten by Bai Huizi.
She could not tell if Bai Huizi actually liked her own cat.
However, she was taking care of Big Thunder well enough that the cat was becoming quite plump.
Big Thunder got along well with the other cats, so there was no need to worry.
Bai Huizi enjoyed using her feet to play with Su Li.
While Su Li helped clean one foot, she would lift the other and place it against Su Li.
She used her wet nails to trace a crescent moon mark on the webbing of Su Li’s hand before the foot was pressed back into a steaming hot towel.
“Little Su Li, you’re so serious even when washing feet.”
Finally, Su Li used a cotton swab to clean between the toes, pulling them apart one by one.
The coolness of the alcohol-soaked cotton ball moving against the nail bed made Bai Huizi let out a soft hum.
Her toes hooked under Su Li’s chin and suddenly tilted it upward.
“It’s already clean enough for little Su Li to slowly taste it.”
She shook her dry foot, the wine-red polish gleaming under the ceiling light.
Bai Huizi looked at Su Li, a hint of expectation deep within her heart.
She leaned against the bathroom tiles, her wet, curly hair sticking to the hollow of her collarbone.
She watched as Su Li held her freshly cleaned foot, the arch of her foot unconsciously tensing into a bow.
The cold wind blowing into the bathroom swept over her damp skin, causing her to tremble slightly.
“Li…”
Bai Huizi cleared her throat as soon as she spoke, looking down to see Su Li meticulously wiping the top of her foot with a cotton pad.
Under the light, her treated skin glowed with a healthy luster, and the faint blue veins on the top of her foot could be seen pulsing slightly.
“That massage technique just now…”
Before she could finish, Bai Huizi suddenly gasped. Her calf muscles tightened in a reflexive jerk, and her knee accidentally knocked over a nearby bottle of essential oil.
Clink!
The glass bottle rolled across the tiles with a sharp sound. Bai Huizi instinctively pulled her foot back, her skin brushing against Su Li’s hand as she was tidying her tools.
Su Li quickly steadied the wobbling oil bottle. “Did I hit a pressure point, Sister Bai? That spot is indeed quite sensitive.”
She placed the care tools into the sterilization box and said patiently, “I’ve noted it down. I’ll be more careful next time. You can also tell me in advance if you need lighter pressure.”
“Ugh…” ……..
