Su Li looked at Miss Cat’s incredibly serious expression and forced a smile onto her face.
She didn’t know if Miss Cat was just foolish or simply innocent.
But she truly would not deceive Miss Cat.
She was someone who was quite sensitive about Money, but she wouldn’t be that way with Miss Cat.
After all, Cat was different from other people in a certain sense.
Of course, even if Miss Cat wasn’t Cat, Su Li felt something different about her.
It seemed that long ago, she had started seeing Miss Cat as a vessel for her feelings toward Cat.
She couldn’t accept the fact that there would be no one to take care of Cat after she left.
Fortunately, seeing that Cell Phone she used so often and the various strange things about Miss Cat, Su Li knew her intuition wasn’t wrong.
She had raised Cat since she was a Little Kitten, so no one in this World knew Cat better than she did.
“Cat, you still need to be careful in the future. It’s a very sad thing to be swindled out of your Money. Especially if someone tricks you out of all your belongings; it would be very painful.”
“Then if I give all the Money I earn to Su Li, I won’t be cheated, right? Even if everyone else in this World lies to me, I believe Su Li won’t.”
Miss Cat stared straight at Su Li, her eyes wide and round, forgetting even to blink.
She tightly gripped the hem of her faded Work Uniform with both small hands, her knuckles turning white from the effort, while her toes inside those Cat Ear Slippers curled into little fuzzballs.
The light shining in from the Window cast a glow over her face, making the tiny beads of sweat on the tip of her nose visible, and the tips of Miss Cat’s ears still held a lingering flush of pink. Her pink lips were pressed firmly into a line, as if she were holding back everything she wanted to say next.
But Su Li’s reflection shone clearly in those clear pupils; like a cat protecting its most precious Little Fish Snacks, she poured all her trust into her sparkling gaze.
Su Li felt a bit embarrassed being stared at by Miss Cat’s clear eyes, and finally, she sighed.
“That is true. But if Cat keeps her Money with me, I might not be able to get back to Cat when I’m busy.”
She still hoped Cat could buy things she liked. Buying lots of Little Fish Snacks. Even buying many beautiful Clothes.
But after thinking about it, Su Li felt she could buy those things for Miss Cat herself.
Just like how she used to buy delicious things for Cat. Su Li looked at Miss Cat and fell into deep thought.
She didn’t know whether to treat Cat like a Cat or like an independent person.
However, those things didn’t seem that important. First, she wanted to make Cat’s life more comfortable.
“Alright, let’s go deposit your Money first. We can just save it to my account. Of course, since Cat is using my bank card now, I’ll put the Money on that card. When there’s something you want to buy, you can just use the Cell Phone payment method I told you about.”
After Su Li finished speaking, Miss Cat was full of anticipation. However, she still somewhat bashfully tugged on the corner of Su Li’s skirt.
“C-can I take a Photo together with Su Li?” Miss Cat said nervously, holding the New Phone Su Li had given her.
Even though she had already taken a Photo of Su Li before, she wanted more! She wanted to take many, many photos with Su Li.
Su Li looked at Miss Cat’s expectant gaze and nodded. In the past, when she had nothing to do, she also liked to hold Cat and take photos.
Then she would take photos of Cat, recording Cat’s growth from a Little Kitten.
Now taking a Photo with Cat again, Cat had already become a proper human.
Su Li felt a bit emotional, though she didn’t have much of an emotional reaction to taking photos now.
Still, Su Li would show a very happy appearance. At least this way, Cat would think she was happy.
Because of the old Cell Phone, Miss Cat hadn’t taken many photos.
It hadn’t been in selfie mode before, so she wasn’t very familiar with taking photos, especially taking them with someone else.
Miss Cat stood on her tiptoes and held the New Phone up high, but in the screen, one of their heads was always popping out of the frame.
She was so anxious that sweat beaded on her nose, and she felt a bit lost.
Her finger hovered over the shutter button for a long time, not daring to press it, and Miss Cat’s toes inside her Slippers couldn’t help but curl up.
Su Li reached out to support her trembling wrist, the cool metal casing brushing against her skin.
Miss Cat’s ear tips twitched. Seeing the shadow of Su Li’s lowered eyelashes in the screen’s reflection, she suddenly tilted her face half an inch toward Su Li’s shoulder.
Now both of them were framed within the warm yellow Sunlight.
Her Work Uniform collar rubbed against Su Li’s sweater, the fuzz tickling her Collarbone.
But Miss Cat couldn’t worry about such things at this moment; she only felt her Heart thumping wildly.
She was incredibly nervous and a bit shy. Miss Cat dazed off for a moment, her attention not even focused on the Camera.
“Cat needs to smile.”
Before Su Li’s voice had even faded, Miss Cat tightened her lips to show her little fangs, her watery eyes staring wider than usual.
The moment the shutter clicked, her left hand hidden behind her back made a crooked peace sign, her fingertips still sporting some cat fur she hadn’t brushed off.
“Click!” Hearing the sound of the New Phone taking a Photo, Miss Cat eagerly opened the album.
Looking at the Photo where the two of them were pressed together, they looked like the best Friends in the World.
She breathed a sigh of relief. The Photo turned out very well; she was very satisfied. And very happy.
Miss Cat’s finger gently stroked the screen, staring at the Photo on the New Phone in a bit of a daze.
With this Photo, it seemed she was no longer alone! There was someone in this World staying by her side! She would never be all alone like she was in the past!
The corners of Miss Cat’s mouth curled up unconsciously, and her grip on the New Phone tightened.
She was happy. Truly happy. Today was perhaps the happiest day of her life.
“Does Cat want to take any more Photos?” “Yes!” Miss Cat said without hesitation.
She wanted more. She wanted to take many more Photos with Su Li! She wanted even more!
She wanted to take many, many photos together, just like she used to with Miss Cat’s Pooper-Scooper!
Other than Miss Cat’s Pooper-Scooper, Su Li was the person who treated her the best! She was also one of her most important people!
