A flicker of emotion flashed through Creis’s eyes.
She stepped into the room and gently closed the door behind her.
As if anticipating this, Olivia cast a spell to cover Gabriella’s head with a protective barrier and enveloped her body in an invisible thin film, allowing her to sleep peacefully.
Creis walked up to Olivia and nodded.
“Gabriella is the most perfect creation in this world. She is our masterpiece.”
“In the eyes of the Heavenly Oracle Envoys—and in your eyes—aren’t we all just slightly larger ants?”
“You are special, Olivia.”
“I am not special.”
Olivia’s gaze remained fierce, but her tone stayed calm and steady, as if she would not be affected by this self-proclaimed god.
“Wasn’t it because of you that all the Heavenly Oracle Envoys were wiped out? You wanted to eliminate that so-called Evil God, so you made everyone else accompany her in death… You treated us all as tools.”
Olivia suddenly recalled the flames of war.
Although she hadn’t fought the Evil God directly and had died from a curse instead, she remembered the anger in Philina’s voice when describing that period.
Now it was clear that the so-called [Mission] had been nothing but a trap set by the Celestial God.
Back then, she had been so naïve as to fall in love with this god who viewed all life as worthless, taking her as a partner and giving her heart to her.
The reason they had fallen in love was because Celestial God Creis had actively approached her.
After she became pregnant, Creis had vanished without a trace.
Until that point, Olivia hadn’t even known that Creis was the so-called [Celestial God].
Yet the Celestial God showed no sign of thinking she had done anything wrong.
She simply replied lightly:
“They are currently reincarnating. Everything will be fine.”
Olivia shook her head.
She suddenly felt there was no point in continuing this conversation.
Because Celestial God Creis would never understand.
“Please leave this place.”
“Why?”
“Creis, I am no longer your Heavenly Oracle Envoy. I am now the Silver-White Sword Empress’s mother. If you want to take Gabriella away, you’ll have to kill me first.”
Olivia’s voice did not waver in the slightest. She was completely serious.
Creis lowered her head. She too recalled the silver-haired maiden who had stared at her amid raging flames upon the black earth.
There was a bottomless chasm between them now.
She had been resurrected, bringing all the Heavenly Oracle Envoys back to the living world to fight the Evil God once more.
Everything was like tens of thousands of years ago. But last time, Gabriella had died.
She still didn’t know where things had gone wrong.
Olivia did not answer.
Before she could say anything more, Olivia stood up and left the room.
Creis followed closely behind, closing the door this time.
Before leaving the room, she glanced at Gabriella, as if she could not approach without Olivia’s permission.
She followed Olivia to another bedroom.
Olivia then disappeared into a room with a wardrobe and only came out several minutes later.
The Heavenly Oracle Envoy Leader Olivia had changed into a different outfit.
She was wearing a black dress.
The laced waist cincher perfectly accentuated her figure.
White lace trim on the sleeves and hem added a lively, cute touch to her mature and alluring aura.
The patterned white stockings highlighted the tempting softness of her thighs.
“Very beautiful.”
It was as if she had learned this style somewhere—the aura was undeniable.
Creis continued the previous topic and asked:
“I need Gabriella, and I need you as well. Can you give me one more chance?”
Olivia walked past her, treating her as if she were air.
A trace of genuine emotion finally appeared in Creis’s eyes. “This time, I will stay by your side. I… will do as you say.”
Olivia paused, but did not turn around.
Seeing that her words were having an effect, Celestial God Creis’s tone grew slightly more urgent:
“I will protect Gabriella properly. What happened ten thousand years ago will not happen again.”
“Is that so?”
“This time I will listen to your opinion. I won’t leave on my own.”
Only then did Olivia turn around.
A hint of respect toward the Celestial God finally appeared in her tone, though anger still dominated.
However, it seemed Olivia was truly willing to give her a chance this time.
“Of course I can give you a chance, Miss Creis. But you must do exactly as you promised and listen to me, correct? As long as you don’t cross the line, I will allow you to get closer to Gabriella than I do.”
The Celestial God did not miss this opportunity.
“Alright~”
The corners of Olivia’s lips curved into a sly smile.
“It’s a deal.”
Under the brilliant starry sky, several birds flew past in a hurry.
They spread their wings, circling around the massive black boulders blocking their view, and quickly headed toward the top of the cliff.
Then, once the view opened up again into a vast expanse, these powerful birds began diving downward.
In their black pearl-like eyes was reflected a massive mountain range.
Countless sharp rocks, influenced by some strange power, had turned pitch black like ink.
They formed a complex maze across the crisscrossing ravines, stretching endlessly.
A scorching hot wind blew past, carrying black and red sand that melted the frost on the black rock layers under the blazing sun, turning it into eerie crimson streams.
These streams converged halfway up the mountain into a red river.
The waterfall cascading down the next cliff stirred up waves, adding a strange sense of liveliness to the otherwise lifeless gorge.
Within the crisscrossing black stone walls, their figures were as insignificant as a drop in the ocean.
It was unknown when they would finally fly out of this desolate land.
Black cracks covered the black and gray rock faces like countless shadowy vines.
This place was the bottom of a pitch-black ocean, yet even more suffocating.
This was the place the Heavenly Oracle Envoys called the “Bottom of the Abyss.”
At the center of the black rocks, in the darkest, sunless lowest layer created by shadow, there was no sunlight.
Only a maiden radiating silver-white light walked forward.
Her deep blue eyes scanned the surroundings, seemingly able to see every detail within the darkness.
Nine black tentacle-like vines crawled up her dress and clung to her white stockings, but the maiden paid them no attention.
She continued walking down the steep slope.
Later, she stopped on a wide stone platform, lowered her head, and seemed to spot another life form hidden within the darkness.
An ethereal, eerie echo rang in her ears, constantly eroding the intruder’s hearing, yet the maiden remained completely unfazed.
“I am Gabriella. May I ask your name?”
