“Lady Gabriella!”
Morphis saw that the Goddess had already been completely taken over by the Evil God.
She could only temporarily withdraw and wait for the next opportunity.
The Goddess’s situation was becoming even more dangerous.
They were not facing ordinary demons, but an Evil God who had corrupted two Heavenly Oracle Envoys and one powerful human!
And now, this Evil God was even using the Goddess’s power.
No wonder everyone had fallen into such a bitter struggle!
The priest corps still needed time to prepare their spells, and the knight order was nearly routed.
The collapse of their faith combined with the overwhelming difference in power plunged most humans into despair.
But at that critical moment, Olivia’s body erupted with boundless silver light.
The silver radiance pierced through the black mist and shot straight into the sky.
The wings behind her multiplied into three pairs, and a silver-white halo appeared above her head.
She looked like a silver angel descending upon the mortal world.
The dazzling light forced everyone to instinctively close their eyes.
Two massive powers collided.
A violent shockwave instantly destroyed the buildings on the top floor.
The scorching light and heat made it impossible to keep one’s eyes open.
It felt as if simply being caught in the aftershock of this power would leave one paralyzed or dead without a grave.
However, once the white light faded, the black clouds and mist seemed to have been swept away by the silver radiance.
In the arms of Saint Son Olivia—the Heavenly Oracle Envoy leader—lay an unconscious maiden.
She was breathtakingly beautiful.
“You’ve lost, Evil God.”
Olivia said coldly, as if declaring victory over the Evil God, and at the same time mocking her countless evil deeds.
As if to prove her words, the shadows enveloping the castle began to disappear completely, revealing the spiderweb-cracked floor, fractured walls, and rubble everywhere.
The shadows receded like the tide.
Clearly, the one who had seized the Goddess and completely dispersed the shadows—Olivia—was the victor of that fierce clash.
Seeing this, the scattered humans began regrouping.
Shining Saint Morphis immediately stepped in front of Olivia to protect her.
Philina and Holy Queen Simona quickly followed.
They began advancing toward the top floor through various passages.
Some even flew up using magic, as if they intended to overwhelm the Evil God with sheer numbers.
Isabella looked at the maiden in Olivia’s arms and spoke as if refuting her claim:
“Oh? I’ve lost~?”
The fallen knight captain and Ice Saint Tina flew to Isabella’s sides.
Their small demon wings fluttered gently, as if they had already completely adapted to their new demon bodies.
“The Goddess has already been devoured by Evil God-sama~” Elsa said with a smile.
“Lady Olivia, what can you possibly change now?”
Isabella didn’t say anything more.
Together with the other three demons, she vanished into the spreading shadows.
In the final moment before disappearing, Demon King Isabella and Heavenly Oracle Envoy Leader Olivia exchanged a meaningful smile, as if some plan was proceeding smoothly.
Yet this plan could not be revealed to anyone.
“Goodbye.”
Olivia said to the empty air where the shadows had vanished.
It took the humans a full dozens of seconds to realize what had just happened.
They all turned their heads toward the sky in unison.
Standing on the rubble platform, they looked up at Olivia and the other heroes, watching the darkness gradually recede and the sky clear up.
Cheers and shouts erupted:
“We won!”
“This battle belongs to humanity!!”
“Long live the Holy Queen! Long live the Knight Order!!”
The cheers were endless.
However, in an angle where no one could see, the floating Olivia gently stroked her daughter’s head.
There was no joy of victory on her face.
A trace of shadow flashed across her deep blue eyes.
In the depths of those ocean-pure beautiful eyes, a black cross-shaped star formed.
But this eerie sight disappeared almost instantly.
Morphis floated up using wind magic and flew to Olivia’s side, speaking excitedly:
“As expected of you, Heavenly Oracle Envoy Leader! Hehe~”
The knights’ cheers only lasted a short while before they quieted down again under the orders of the knight captains and Holy Queen.
This battle had temporarily come to an end.
Suddenly, an overwhelming, suffocating pressure came from behind.
The smile on Shining Saint Morphis’s face froze instantly.
She knew an extremely powerful being was approaching, but she didn’t even have the courage to turn around and face it!
So strong… Is this the Evil God?
She had felt something similar when approaching the bottom of the abyss before, but the source of this power was clearly not the Evil God.
While she was wondering, the voice of the person emitting this pressure reached her ears.
It was a calm, all-seeing voice—like that of a pilgrim, or a monk.
But it sounded even more like a machine.
Her breathtaking beauty was like a masterpiece meticulously crafted by the gods, yet she herself was the supreme deity.
Celestial God Creis.
“Olivia, it’s been a long time.”
The blue-haired maiden—no, Celestial God Creis—spoke before Morphis could even react.
She had somehow moved behind her without a sound, now standing only one step away from Olivia.
Creis completely ignored the Heavenly Oracle Envoy girl.
Clearly, she knew Olivia.
And she had recognized her immediately.
Olivia slowly raised her head and met Creis’s gaze.
No extra emotion appeared on her face.
She simply remained silent.
It was as if the two were communicating with their eyes, but more than that…
“Has anything happened all these years?”
Olivia continued to stay silent.
Yet her eyes were like sharp blades, piercing into Creis’s chest—complex, suffocating, sweet yet filled with pain.
Then, Olivia lowered her head, glanced at the maiden lying in her arms, and slowly descended from the sky.
“Morphis, we’re leaving.”
“Yes… understood!”
Morphis finally snapped out of her shock and obeyed the Heavenly Oracle Envoy Leader’s command.
Olivia acted as if she hadn’t seen Creis at all.
She landed gently and walked over to the ruined platform, stopping beside Holy Queen Simona who had been waiting.
“Prepare to withdraw. Let’s retreat, Holy Queen.”
Philina soon followed as well.
The three Heavenly Oracle Envoys and the Holy Queen walked down from the castle ruins together.
Leaving only Creis floating alone in the sky, staring dazedly in the direction where Olivia had been.
She lowered her head and looked at her own hand.
Creis blinked her beautiful eyes.
“Was I… really wrong?”
No one answered.
Her voice quickly faded into the vast sky.
Beneath the clear azure sky, only Celestial God Creis remained.
She turned around and chased after them.
