At the top of the castle tower.
Gabriella accepted the silver crystal from [Shining Saint] Morphis and began trying to absorb it.
The pure silver magic power gradually flowed into Gabriella’s body.
This power was soft and cold, much like snow plum blossoms blooming in winter—beautiful, yet incredibly lethal.
What felt strange to her was how familiar this power was. Sure enough, it triggered a resonance within her soul.
The soul was directly connected to the body, and Gabriella felt that this power was an immense force that fit her soul even more perfectly.
Unlike before, this power was more controllable and contained a great deal of complex information. She could sense…
When she tried to touch these silver-white strands of power with her body, her body would read the ancient information within them.
As Gabriella attempted to search for the information she needed, an image of a silver-white girl was projected into her mind.
That seemed to be the so-called [Holy Body].
Gabriella tried to gather and shape it, as if molding clay in her mind.
Everything flowed naturally and smoothly. However, she soon discovered that this power was rejecting her body.
This was because Gabriella’s original body had already become a demon dominated by dark magic power.
The shadow within her was already declaring that she could not absorb this holy power.
It seemed this holy power refused to allow any filth inside~
But Gabriella had a better method.
She summoned shadow, tearing open a spatial rift connected to the abyss.
Several tentacles swallowed her body whole, as if her holy form was sinking into a black ocean.
As the demonic body sank into the abyss of shadow, a holy body began replacing Gabriella’s original appearance.
The original demonic wings were stored away along with her demon body inside the shadow.
In their place, silver-white wings formed from converging particles of magical light appeared.
The pupils in her eyes were replaced by two holy cross-shaped symbols, making her look like a goddess.
It felt as though one only needed to kneel and pray to receive forgiveness from the depths of the heart and redemption for the soul.
The only thing slightly out of place was that this goddess was currently wearing a cute maid outfit.
Seemingly borrowing the radiance of this silver light, the two heavenly oracle envoys knelt on one knee to express their loyalty.
The corners of their mouths curved upward, as if they were truly praying to a deity.
“Goddess Lady…”
However, as Gabriella looked at her own body, she felt a momentary sense of discomfort.
After all, she was still a demon.
Even though her soul was compatible with this body, she could only control it through special means.
Her original body was hidden within the shadow, so she could still clearly feel her tail and wings.
When she tried to sway her tail, there was nothing behind her, which felt odd.
Still, this way, she should be able to win the humans’ trust.
“Congratulations, Goddess Lady.”
The Saintess also knelt on one knee, but not before rubbing her cheek against Gabriella’s hand first.
Loli is so adorable.
Gabriella always felt that Loli shouldn’t have to suffer as a human.
She deserved a happier life.
In truth, her body was already filled with dark magic power. If she didn’t disguise it, she would likely appear terrifying to humans.
Looking at the heavenly oracle envoys kneeling before her, Gabriella knew it was time for her to give orders.
“Morphis, Philina~ I’m sorry, but I need some time to understand you two.”
She tilted her head with a smile.
The warm expression seemed to bloom like a warm sunflower in the hearts of the two heavenly oracle envoys.
Morphis was especially excited.
Although Gabriella had little impression of the Shining Saint, she was quite familiar with the [Pray-er] inside her body.
Ordinary people could only cast one or a few spells in a short period of time.
The [Pray-er], however, could instantly activate any magic she needed.
As long as the spell was recorded within it, she could construct and release it immediately.
Theoretically, as long as there was enough mana, there was no limit to the number of spells she could cast.
The speed depended entirely on the user’s mental strength and calculation ability.
Gabriella placed her hand on top of Morphis’s head and gently stroked it.
The latter let out a soft “Mmm” and became even more obedient, pressing both knees firmly against the ground as if saying “Do whatever you want with me.”
Kind of like a kitten?
Although she didn’t know exactly what they were thinking, Gabriella could tell that the heavenly oracle envoys were all rather simple-minded, pure, and adorable.
They really did need someone to lead them.
That person could have been Olivia, or any other powerful heavenly oracle envoy. But now…
Gabriella had no intention of letting them go.
The heavenly oracle envoys held a strange misunderstanding toward the evil god. It was about time to put an end to that, right~?
As she stroked [Shining Saint] Morphis, nine strands of shadow quietly slipped into the girl’s body, intertwining and fusing with her vast [Pray-er] magic power.
Morphis only felt her body grow slightly warm before the sensation disappeared.
Gabriella naturally didn’t give her any time to savor it and said:
“You two head back first and investigate the matter regarding Flame Lock. The situation with the demon race is very complicated. The most urgent task is to rally the humans once more. I’ll follow shortly.”
“Understood!” Philina looked full of fighting spirit.
Unfortunately for them, they would soon lose all ability to threaten anyone.
The two girls nodded.
They clearly remembered how the Flame Lock knights had surrounded Morphis—one of the Four Saints—earlier.
That was practically treason.
“Flame Lock… they weren’t supposed to be like this,” Philina suddenly recalled. “I’ve dealt with them before. I know what kind of person the Flame Saint is. Leave it to us, Goddess Lady. We will handle everything.”
Gabriella nodded and watched the two girls’ retreating figures.
She didn’t see anything wrong with making the heavenly oracle envoys fall.
However, aside from the influence of the Pray-er artifact, Morphis’s reaction was beyond Gabriella’s expectations.
Not just her.
The heavenly oracle envoys’ ability to accept shadow was stronger than she had imagined.
It was as if a “keyhole” perfectly suited for shadow had already appeared inside their bodies, giving the evil god’s power a chance to take root and sprout within them.
At the thought, Gabriella couldn’t help but feel extremely pleased.
Soon, however, she was drawn to another piece of information within the crystal.
It was a memory from the past.
Gabriella closed her eyes. Before her appeared a vast black wilderness.
She felt as if she had traveled to a point in the distant past, but her reason told her this was merely a recreation of a certain scene.
The sky was split in two by silver-white streams of light. Beneath a dreamlike, blood-red starry sky, a cyan-blue figure floated in the air.
The girl looked down at Gabriella standing on the black soil with ice-cold eyes.
“Your plan has failed, Goddess.”
