“Master, what would you like to eat today~?”
“I want to cook for my wife. Gabriella, you just need to rest.”
“Sure. Then I’ll guide you from the side.”
A hint of teasing flashed in Gabriella’s eyes. She looked exactly like a wife deeply in love with Isabella.
This spouse-like interaction made many of the maids turn their gazes away, focusing on their own tasks.
Philina did the same.
Her head started buzzing loudly.
Earlier, Olivia had called the Evil God “Your Majesty”?!
For a brief moment, even Philina began to worry about Olivia’s mental state.
However, once she remembered just how powerful this Heavenly Oracle truly was, she relaxed.
After all, Olivia’s power was strong enough to shake mountains.
The so-called Black Stone Mountains would probably be as fragile as blocks of tofu in front of her.
Her magical talent was among the closest to the Goddess in the past.
It would not be an exaggeration to call her the oldest and most powerful Heavenly Oracle.
What concerned Philina even more, however, was Gabriella.
She was currently following behind Isabella, arm linked with hers, looking somewhat weak and frail.
It was as if she had been drained of her magic power, or rather, as if her body had been subjected to some indescribable treatment.
Her body was saturated with the Evil God’s aura, and the curse ring around her neck was a clear sign of control.
Yet Gabriella herself seemed completely unaware of it, fully immersed in her life as a maid.
She had even become the Evil God’s wife.
“Mom, good morning~”
Gabriella’s smile made Olivia blush instantly.
The latter looked like a mother who doted heavily on her daughter — a completely normal reaction.
Olivia was a full-blown daughter-con.
She was the type of person who valued her daughter far more than her original mission.
And that was exactly why the Evil God had been able to take advantage of her.
“Gabriella, you look like you’re in good shape today?”
“Yes. Master replenished a lot of ~ magic power for me last night. My body and mind feel completely satisfied.”
“Mmm…”
Olivia nodded.
But upon hearing those words, Philina felt her heart nearly jump out of her chest!
Replenish… magic power?!
Sure enough, Gabriella still couldn’t escape the Evil God’s corruption. Damn it.
What shocked her even more was that Olivia seemed to have accepted all of this and didn’t mind in the slightest.
Isabella gently touched Gabriella’s lower abdomen. The latter playfully pushed her hand away and gave her a teasing look, like lovers flirting with each other.
This made Philina involuntarily recall their relationship…
Back when she was locked in the basement, Isabella had taken the crystal containing the Goddess’s power from her while calling her “wife.”
Philina found it incomprehensible. She had no idea what had happened between the Evil God and the Goddess over the past few years.
Following Olivia’s instructions, she washed the ingredients, pretending to be a well-trained little maid.
Another maid sister was working beside Philina on the same task, but she was clearly much more skilled… Philina had thought she was already quite proficient, but compared to the other maid, she looked like a complete novice.
However, this demon lady was very considerate and would occasionally help her out.
This made Philina feel less awkward…
Of course,
Gabriella naturally noticed this “intruder” — the red-haired girl who had entered the Residential Palace.
A Heavenly Oracle was gradually awakening.
She had been somewhat skeptical about the news that the Heavenly Oracles would awaken one after another.
After all, their strength was truly formidable.
If Knight Captains were considered “King-rank” and Tina and Elsa were “Saint-rank,” then all Heavenly Oracles had stepped into “Emperor-rank” — the highest level in the human classification system.
In their eyes, ordinary Knight Captains and so-called human heroes were little more than slightly larger ants.
Philina’s strength was also not to be underestimated.
Fortunately, Gabriella had a very good plan to ensure she could never threaten the Demon King again.
Seeing that Isabella was busy fiddling with the kitchen utensils and didn’t need her help for now, Gabriella walked over to Olivia.
“Mom~ Your body looks a bit… weak?”
“A little…”
“Would you like me to help?”
Olivia paused for a moment. It seemed she understood what was about to happen.
Yes.
So much time had passed.
Even without mentioning it, she should have realized just how intoxicating and addictive [Shadow] truly was.
Gabriella moved behind her mother and touched the curse mark on Olivia’s jade-like neck with a single finger.
The corners of her mouth curved into a faint, cunning smile.
“Mom, it might hurt a little at first, but it’ll feel better afterward.”
“I trust you.”
“Mm.”
Olivia stopped what she was doing.
Translucent shadow tentacles appeared at Gabriella’s fingertip.
They crawled up to the tip of her finger, swirled around her nail, then dove into Olivia’s neck — right into the curse mark — as if they had found a warm nest.
“Mmm… Is this your [Shadow], Gabriella?”
“That’s right, Mommy~”
“I see.”
Olivia consented.
Whether it was on Isabella’s orders, Gabriella’s own will, a desire to drag her into the abyss, or simply to help her share the burden of the shadow erosion… she would not refuse any of it.
As more shadows poured in, Olivia’s breathing became noticeably heavier.
But just like the night before, it felt incredibly pleasant and comfortable.
For a moment, Olivia once again wondered whether the constitution of the Heavenly Oracles had changed, or if the very nature of the shadows had changed.
Her body shouldn’t have been eroded by shadows so quickly, and the sensation during the erosion shouldn’t have felt this good.
Philina, who was secretly watching from a short distance with her peripheral vision, trembled violently. She couldn’t believe what she was seeing.
The two things she feared most had still happened.
Gabriella had fallen, and Olivia had chosen to submit.
She didn’t know how much longer Olivia could hold on before she became just like everyone else.
The flush on her face and the pleasured breathing as she was being eroded by the shadows looked like the very image of every fallen person.
The process only lasted a few dozen seconds. Once all the shadows had entered Olivia’s body, Gabriella withdrew her hand, gently stroked her mother’s head, and gave her a warm smile.
“I’ll go help Master with the cooking now. We’ll talk later~”
“Alright.”
With that, Gabriella turned and left, glancing at Philina’s reaction out of the corner of her eye.
At this moment, the little red-haired maid’s face was deathly pale.
She had clearly been badly frightened by the scene just now.
However,
Gabriella actually felt that she might have been misunderstood.
Hasn’t my idiot Mom explained to her yet that everything we’re doing is to save the world?
