Iana’s body suddenly stiffened, her head turning rigidly to the side, and the envelope in her hand slipped to the ground with a soft “plop.”
At this moment, Iana’s mood hit rock bottom, and the first thing that caught her eye was Elia’s face, filled with a mischievous smile.
It confirmed the saying that smiles never disappear—they only shift.
“Come, let me see what exactly that envelope in your hand is for.”
Hearing Elia’s words, Iana’s heart pounded wildly, and she instinctively took a step back.
By the time she realized what was about to happen and tried to stop Elia, it was already too late.
Elia bent down and picked up the letter, her fingers lightly flipping the envelope from the back to the front.
“Wait, Elia!” Iana felt like an ant on a hot pan, her outstretched hand hovering in midair, wanting to snatch the envelope but never actually doing it.
Because she knew there was no chance of wresting the letter from Elia’s hands.
“Elia’s Secret Romance (Don’t Miss This Version).”
Elia’s gentle voice echoed inside the Rest Room, but to Iana, it didn’t sound gentle at all—more like the calm before a storm.
“This is over.” Iana muttered softly.
She hadn’t expected to run into Elia here and get caught red-handed.
“Dear Iana, can you explain what this envelope means? Why does it say it contains my secret romance, and why were you holding this letter here?”
Elia deliberately dragged out her voice, feigning puzzlement.
“Could it be that you wanted to sneak this letter into Aiweina’s Rest Room?”
Iana knew that Aiweina was the star of today’s concert, the renowned celebrity whose fame resounded across the Continent.
“Not at all! I—I just accidentally ended up here. I didn’t even know where this place was.”
“As for that letter, I only picked it up.”
Iana played dumb, as if doing so might make Elia let her go.
“Oh, so you just happened to avoid the eyes of so many people outside, just happened to walk past Aiweina’s Rest Room, and just happened to come inside?”
“Yeah, what’s wrong with that? Is there a problem?” Iana stubbornly replied, now forced to keep up the act.
She dared not admit that she wanted Elia to be disgraced in front of Aiweina, to keep Aiweina away from Elia.
But her main purpose was simply to get back at Elia.
“Can it really be such a coincidence?”
“Yep, that’s just how it is. If there’s nothing else, I’m going to leave now.” Iana said as she headed toward the Rest Room door.
But just as she reached the door, she felt her collar being grabbed, preventing her from moving forward even an inch.
It was like being lifted by the scruff of the neck like a little kitten.
“What do you think you’re doing! I’m leaving!” Iana struggled with hands and feet, trying to break free from Elia’s grip.
But it only made her look like a puffed-up angry kitten, unable to budge Elia’s “iron claws” at all.
“In such a hurry to leave? Why not stay a little longer?”
“No, I have other things to do. I won’t bother you anymore.”
“Other things to do, huh? Let me guess, are you planning to set a trap for me somewhere else again?”
Hearing Elia’s words, Iana’s heart tightened, but she stubbornly responded, “There’s no such thing. Don’t slander me.”
“Slander me? I think someone else is better at slandering me.” Elia opened the envelope and skimmed its contents.
“Tsk tsk tsk, so many romances about me here, and I never knew any of it.”
“Or could it be that you’ve been dating on my behalf, Miss Iana?”
“Let me guess, you’re hoping this envelope will ruin my relationship with Aiweina, so I get punished?”
Elia’s words left Iana speechless.
After a moment, she slowly began to argue back, “I just don’t want Aiweina to be deceived by you.”
“Oh, I didn’t expect you to be so righteous. But I’m afraid you’ll be disappointed.”
“Because Aiweina knows everything about me.” Elia raised an eyebrow as she said this.
“And to think I even gave you two VIP Concert Tickets just yesterday. This is how you repay me?”
“What punishment do you think I deserve?”
“Anything you want.” Iana knew she was in the wrong and gave up fighting.
“How about you dance as Aiweina’s backup at the concert?” Elia pondered for a moment, her eyes suddenly shining.
“Just that simple?”
Iana had learned to dance before, so this was no big deal.
“But won’t you talk to Aiweina first? Will she really agree to let me dance as her backup?” Iana asked.
“Don’t worry. With me stepping in, I believe she won’t refuse.” Elia said confidently.
Then Elia walked over to a nearby box and started rummaging through it.
“Since you agreed, you have to follow my conditions, understand?” Elia said.
“Got it.” Iana felt there was more to Elia’s words than met the eye, but she had no idea what kind of trick was up her sleeve.
“Found it.”
Elia stood up and showed Iana what she was holding: “When you go on stage to dance, wear these.”
A pair of fluffy black cat ears headband and a soft cat tail belt with a small bell dangling at the end.
As soon as Iana saw what Elia was holding, her face flushed bright red.
“What kind of nonsense is this? There’s no way I’m wearing this!”
“Oh, backup dancers need some flair.” Elia winked.
“But didn’t you just say you don’t care? Are you trying to go back on your word?”
Iana looked a little wronged: “I didn’t know you’d make me wear this. If I had known, I definitely wouldn’t have agreed to your request.”
“But you already agreed.”
Iana pursed her lips, struggling inside for a few seconds before finally giving in: “Fine, I’ll wear it, but only this once.”
Elia smiled triumphantly and personally put the cat ears headband on Iana.
The soft, fluffy touch made Iana shiver uncontrollably, her ears turning almost blood-red.
Then Elia moved behind her, tying the cat tail belt around her waist and playfully gave the tail a gentle tug.
“Elia!” Iana spun around in embarrassment, only to hear the bell on the tail jingle clearly with her movement, freezing her in place.
At that moment, Iana wished she could disappear into the ground.
“Perfect!” Elia took two steps back to admire her handiwork.
“It really suits you.”
