Early the next morning, after a whole night of exhaustion, Iana rubbed her sleepy eyes, reluctantly climbing out of bed.
Although she had gotten up a bit early today, it was all worth it.
Just the thought of Saintess Elia flirting with other beautiful girls being discovered by that Star who was also her childhood friend made a mischievous smile spread uncontrollably across Iana’s face.
“Hehehe, just imagining Elia begging her childhood friend for forgiveness is so thrilling,” Iana muttered with a wicked grin.
Even Blonde-haired Lilian, still sound asleep nearby, was woken by her voice.
“Mm~”
Lilian stretched lazily, a faint trace of sleepiness lingering on her petite, delicate face.
“Iana, why are you up so early? Isn’t the Music Concert starting only in the evening?”
“That’s exactly why you don’t get it,” Iana said.
“Since the concert is at night, my plan is to sneak into the Rest Room two days in advance during the day, and then leave this right on that Star’s dressing room table.”
Iana pulled out an envelope.
Written on it in black ink were the words: “Elia’s Secret Romance (You’ll Regret Not Reading This Edition).”
Iana was sure that with this note in her hands, that Star wouldn’t let it go unnoticed.
It was like having proof of one of Ethelrina’s harem members cheating right in front of her.
Iana was confident that Ethelrina, as a harem queen, wouldn’t just let that information slide.
By extension, Elia’s childhood friend wouldn’t either.
Lilian watched Iana’s gloating expression with concern, opening her mouth several times before finally pressing her lips together without saying a word.
Lilian had learned a truth from another version of herself—some things would never turn back unless you took action.
Just like how she once tried to regain control of her body from Silver-haired Lilian.
Now, she only hoped Iana wouldn’t suffer too much at Elia’s hands.
“Then be careful on your own,” Lilian said.
She knew Elia wouldn’t harm or cripple Iana—at most, she’d just cause a little embarrassment.
“Don’t worry. With me involved, what can’t be settled?” Iana replied confidently.
The Music Concert was held in the Arts District at the center of the Holy City.
It took Iana an hour’s walk to reach the venue.
The first thing that caught her eye was a massive structure, large enough to hold over ten thousand people.
Standing in front of it, Iana felt utterly insignificant, like a tiny ant.
“I didn’t expect such a building to exist five hundred years ago,” Iana murmured to herself.
Even five hundred years later, the largest single building in the continent’s best magic academy, Saint Roland Magic Academy, paled in comparison to this concert hall.
Iana slowly approached the venue.
Most of the arrangements were already finished, with only a few staff members left doing last-minute decorations and equipment checks to prevent any mishaps during tonight’s Music Concert.
At this moment, Iana wore a hat and had a black cloth covering her face.
She was certain that no one could recognize her like this—not even she could recognize herself in the mirror.
Pressing close against the wall, Iana moved within the blind spots of the staff’s vision.
Since she had never done anything like this before, sweat beads formed on her forehead and in her palms.
“Doing sneaky things like this is really a challenge,” she whispered, wiping the sweat from her brow, feeling nervous.
But whenever she thought about Elia being trapped in an awkward situation because of her actions, a wicked smile tugged at the corners of her lips.
“The Security Room is to the right, the Rest Room to the left,” Iana muttered triumphantly at a corner.
She couldn’t help but praise herself.
After all, she had been sneaking around for a while now, and no one had noticed her presence.
“Looks like I was born with the talent for stealth,” she boasted.
Just then, several similarly sneaky figures appeared from the right.
Iana quickly stopped in her tracks, pressing her back against the cold wall.
The group wore staff uniforms but had face coverings like hers, and they carried several suspicious black bags.
They didn’t look like people doing legitimate work.
“Damn, are there others sneaking around too?” Iana squinted as the group swiftly disappeared down another corridor.
She hesitated but, thinking of her carefully planned revenge, decided to ignore them.
After all, there were security guards around; she wasn’t capable of doing much.
“Besides, if I report them, my sneaking around will be exposed too,” she told herself, finding an excuse to ignore the suspicious figures.
Based on the information she had gathered earlier and the maps scattered around the venue, Iana soon found herself standing in front of the Rest Room’s door.
The three large characters for “Rest Room” were written on the door.
“This is it,” she said nervously, pulling out a steel wire.
That’s right, Iana had even learned lock-picking techniques before.
No matter the security level of the door, as long as she had her steel wire, it was useless.
She inserted the wire and was ready to pick the lock, but to her surprise, the door wasn’t locked at all.
Her skills were never put to the test.
“The door’s not even closed? How careless. Well, let me close it for you.”
“But before I close it, I’ll take a quick look inside,” Iana whispered to herself, even though no one else was around.
It was as if this act could ease the guilt weighing on her.
She quietly pushed the door open.
The interior was much more luxurious than she had imagined.
Velvet sofas, crystal chandeliers, a whole wall of mirrors.
On the table, there were cosmetics and several boxes of fruit gifts—clearly someone had been here recently.
“Hehe, whoever was here just now won’t affect my plan.”
“All I have to do is put this on the table.”
Iana pulled out the envelope labeled “Elia’s Secret Romance (You’ll Regret Not Reading This Edition)” with a wicked smile.
Just as she was about to place the envelope, a voice dripping with sweetness came from behind her.
“My dear Iana, what brings you here so early?”
“Of course, I have something to do,” Iana replied, absorbed in her plan, apparently unaware she had been discovered.
“This time, I’m going to make Elia pay and show her I’m not someone to be trifled with.”
“Oh? Did Elia provoke you or offend you to deserve such revenge?”
“You don’t know how terrible she is. When I asked her for help before, she just watched the drama unfold and ignored me.”
As Iana spoke excitedly, she suddenly realized she was sneaking in alone.
Who was speaking to her?
