“Who gave you permission to touch me! Put me down right now!”
Leonora struggled wildly in Lorabel’s grasp.
But no matter how hard she struggled, Lorabel’s strength was unyielding. She had grabbed the side of Leonora’s robe at her waist and back, and no matter how much she flailed, the garment showed not a single tear.
At this moment, Leonora only hated herself for having bought such a high-quality witch’s robe.
Seeing that twisting left and right was useless, she even started trying to bite.
She twisted around, grabbing the wrist that held her with both hands, opened her mouth wide, revealing her two sharp tiger fangs, and prepared to bite just like before.
‘Ding.’
The moment those fangs touched Lorabel’s skin, a clear, crisp sound rang out—like biting metal rather than flesh.
“Ah… ugh…”
Leonora whimpered softly, her teeth aching painfully. Those two tiger fangs seemed almost on the verge of falling out.
“You little brat… don’t you look before you bite?”
Lorabel finally released her, setting her down. Then, right in front of Leonora, she pulled back the sleeve on her wrist to reveal the steel training bracer she wore.
“Ugh~”
Leonora crouched on the ground, holding her mouth, still softly wailing.
“This little girl was the one who insisted on coming to see you, Aurora.”
Albert suddenly spoke.
“Come to see me…”
Aurora looked at the girl crouched on the ground, quietly wailing, and felt her heart ache along with her.
“It’s the first time I’ve ever met such a headstrong and unreasonable girl.” Albert rubbed her forehead, clearly a little exasperated.
“I trained her for several hours in the space, so logically, a sentient being should have listened a bit.”
“But during the training, this girl somehow pulled out a small knife and started cutting her own wrist.”
As she spoke, she took a small silver knife from her pocket, stained with some blood.
“Cut, cut her wrist?!” Azalea exclaimed in surprise.
She looked at the girl on the ground and instinctively stepped back a few paces.
“Really brought me a big problem…” Albert muttered softly.
Then she looked over at Aurora, sighed, and said, “Aurora, since she came to see you, talk to her properly. Watch over her for today. Don’t let her do anything like that again.”
With that, her dragon tail flickered out, slicing a rift in the air, and she stepped through it.
“Huh!? But there’s class…”
Albert turned her head slightly, thinking for a moment before remembering that there was still one class left in the afternoon.
But if Aurora was going, that girl would definitely follow—and that would probably cause a commotion, making the entire class unable to proceed.
So she said, “You’re excused from class today. We’ll make it up to you later.”
After saying this, the rift closed.
“Basically just dumping the trouble on Miss Aurora, huh.” Azalea pouted in dissatisfaction.
“Well… it’s not so bad.”
Aurora actually had quite a few questions she wanted to ask this girl.
“Let me see your teeth.”
A gentle voice came from beside her.
Leonora’s hand covering her mouth felt a warmth as she opened her eyes, which had been shut tight in pain, to see a slender hand gently touching the back of her hand.
Leonora instinctively wanted to shake the hand away, but when her gaze met Aurora’s worried, gentle eyes, she obediently cooperated.
Her hands, tightly covering her small mouth, were slowly moved away, and Aurora finally saw that the girl’s originally pearly white teeth were stained with fresh blood.
One of her right-side tiger fangs was truly loose, and the blood was undoubtedly flowing from that wound.
“Sis, why don’t I treat her?”
Lorabel quickly spoke up, as if unwilling for her sister to touch this troublesome girl.
Her younger sister was skilled in advanced healing magic, so it made perfect sense to let her handle the treatment.
Thinking this, Aurora nodded.
She squatted down and stepped aside a little to clear some space, then motioned for Lorabel to begin the healing spell.
As soon as Lorabel approached, the girl on the ground suddenly pulled out a small knife from who-knows-where and stabbed at her reflexively.
But her speed was far too slow for Lorabel, who dodged easily with a sidestep.
She then reached out and gripped the girl’s wrist; with a slight squeeze, the hand clutching the knife relaxed due to intense pain.
The silver knife clattered onto the ground.
Azalea and Aurora both stared dumbfounded at what had just happened, seemingly unable to fully process the scene.
“Stay away from her, Miss Aurora!”
Once she fully registered it, Azalea pulled Aurora, who was still crouching, away from the dangerous girl.
But before her hand even touched Aurora, another blade flashed past, narrowly grazing Azalea’s hand.
Leonora stood up and positioned herself between Aurora and the two others.
“What the hell do you think you’re doing?!” Azalea shouted in anger.
Then came the girl’s heart-wrenching voice…
“Don’t you dare touch her!!”
She raised her small knife as if it were a sword, aiming at the two in front of her.
Her red pupils, when they looked at them, bared killing intent without any disguise.
“It’s you… you’re the ones who took her away from me, right?!”
“I’ll kill you… if I kill you, Aurora will definitely come back to me!”
She lifted the knife high, ready to charge at Lorabel.
She shouted, mouth dripping with blood, like a cat licking fresh wounds.
But she hadn’t taken many steps before she was suddenly caught, her arms locked tight.
This time, though, she didn’t react instinctively as before, because the one holding her was no one else but Aurora—her dearest wish.
When Aurora embraced her, Leonora’s desire to struggle faded by more than half. She only gave a token twist before obediently allowing herself to be held.
“Quick, take her knife away!”
Aurora shouted to the two in front of her.
In truth, there was no need to take the knife from Lorabel’s perspective.
Even if this small blade pierced her heart, it wouldn’t harm her in the slightest—not even breaking the skin.
But she still obeyed her sister and took the knife from Leonora’s hand.
“You… Aurora, put me down right now!”
“Calm down first, then I’ll let you go!”
“I’m calm!”
She struggled a little more, then rested her head against Aurora’s soft chest.
Lorabel: “💢”
