[Hehehe]
[Did you have a good time yesterday?]
[I heard rumors that you and Glim were out having fun~]
[The weather was pretty nice lol]
[+HurryAndLeave: Did anything change since yesterday?]
[+HurryAndLeave: I was thinking about going again, but ended up not going]
[Pepe: I don’t think anything really changed]
[Spill the tea about what happened yesterday]
It felt like the viewers were chatting more than usual.
And that made sense.
After all, I had gone to an event with Glim.
“I went and had a good time. It was pretty chill since no one really recognized me.”
That was the truth.
If someone had awkwardly acted like they knew me, it would’ve been super uncomfortable, but thankfully, not a single person did this time.
[Oh, you finally shared something lol]
[+HurryAndLeave: Like these people would actually talk? lol]
[But I was walking around the venue a lot to try and catch a glimpse of you, but didn’t see you anywhere]
[Pepe: You’re supposed to enjoy the event, why are you trying to look at people’s faces lol]
[Looking at people’s faces is fun though]
[You’d run over in a flash if someone said Yottu was showing their face too]
“So, to tell you what happened yesterday—”
As I said that, I brought up a photo taken at the event.
“They had these sticker tattoos, right? So we all went and got some together.”
[Tattoos omg]
[+HurryAndLeave: What kind of tattoo did you get?]
[Ohhh so that’s what that story was about]
[CC]
[Pepe: Show us the pic with the tattoo~]
The viewers seemed curious, so I showed them a photo where we were all putting our hands together.
“From the right, it’s Glim, me, and Ryu Arim.”
Originally, I was planning to speak informally to Ryu Arim, but once the stream started, it felt weird to only use informal speech with her, so I ended up speaking formally.
I figured it’d be fine to just talk casually when we meet in person.
[Whoa]
[That looks nice]
[+HurryAndLeave: How long does that last?]
[Probably comes off after a shower]
[Doesn’t seem like it lasts long]
[By the way, Ryu Arim used that character for her tattoo lol]
[Pepe: That is pretty cute though]
So I talked a bit more about what happened at the Heart Memorial event.
“After doing this and that, we wrapped up by having a meal at a restaurant nearby.”
We had fun and went our separate ways, but it wasn’t like anything crazy happened that was worth spilling as a story.
We just wandered around together, ate, and then split.
That was about it.
So there wasn’t much else to talk about.
There was something more important to bring up now anyway.
“Anyway, that’s that, but is anyone here interested in going to a concert?”
I had gotten a message from Seolhwa.
Two free concert tickets.
If you’ve been watching my streams, then you probably know who Seolhwa is.
I mean Rage.
Back in the day, I worked on the album cover for her, so anyone who’s been around my stream for a while should remember that.
Even recently, I’ve mentioned her now and then during the stream.
[What concert?]
[+HurryAndLeave: There’s a concert happening?]
[What kind of “consert” lol]
[Which one are you talking about?]
[Pepe: Is there a concert coming up or something?]
[Not sure if there are any concerts going on]
The reason Seolhwa gave me the tickets was simple.
Since I’ve mentioned her a lot on stream, she wanted me to give the tickets to someone who’s interested enough to actually want to attend the concert.
‘It’d be kind of awkward if no one wants them though…’
I knew that Seolhwa was doing really well these days.
Even just walking past a local café, I’d often hear her songs playing.
But I wasn’t sure if the viewers of my stream were the type to actually attend her concert, so I opened my mouth with a bit of concern in mind.
“Um, so Rage is holding her own solo concert soon. I happened to get two extra tickets, so if anyone’s interested, please leave a message on the fan café with your reason for wanting them, and send me an email too.”
[+HurryAndLeave: ?]
[Rage???]
[For real?]
[Wait, were you two that close??]
[No way I’m missing this lol]
[Pepe: How are we supposed to pass up a Rage solo concert fr]
[Rage’s that big? You guys are overreacting]
[You clearly don’t do anything cultural if you think it’s an overreaction lol, resale prices are nuts right now]
Contrary to my expectation that no one would be all that interested, the chat was totally on fire.
Skimming through some of the messages, it looked like the tickets were even being resold.
“They’re being resold…?”
Even though Rage has gotten super popular lately, liking her music and being able to draw a crowd to a concert are two totally different things.
[Yeah]
[+HurryAndLeave: I heard the resell price is double face value]
[Wait, Rage is that popular…? Am I living in the wrong world lol]
[Really]
[Pepe: Rage is pretty much the top of the rookie scene right now, so it makes sense]
[Probably ’cause she has a lot of male fans too]
I mean, I’m happy she’s doing so well, but part of me also wondered if she had to blow up this much.
Personally, I just can’t relate to buying scalped tickets to go to a concert.
“So please make sure to write a solid message if you want the tickets. If it sounds forced, I’ll cut you right away. Seems like more people want to go than I expected.”
And before I knew it.
[+HurryAndLeave: The posts on the café are starting to go up]
[+HurryAndLeave: There’s a bunch already, let’s read some]
[There’s like 100 entries already, omg lol]
[These people freaking love free stuff lol]
[Pepe: How can you say no to something free, especially a Rage concert lol]
I heard that tons of posts were being made on the fan café.
“Alright, I’ll start checking now. I’m honestly curious what kind of stories people wrote.”
I wondered what kind of stories I’d find.
With that in mind, I headed into the fan café.
[There’s a sick iguana at home…][4]
[I’m being completely serious. If I don’t see Rage, my life has no meaning. For real.][2]
[Crying while eating frozen dumplings right now… No microwave, so I’m just letting my mouth act as a natural one ㅠㅠ]
[(Real story) My card just exploded, now my bank account’s in ruins][9]
[I have a bunny-like child and a fox-like husband at home…][2]
“…Are you all writing novels now or what?”
I was speechless.
If they’d kept it somewhat realistic, I might’ve let it slide, but way too many people were writing absurd bait stories.
It was seriously out of hand.
[+HurryAndLeave: loooooooooool]
[The bait is wild today lolol]
[But wait, why is the viewer count going up all of a sudden?]
[Pepe: Probably because people from other places heard about the concert ticket giveaway and swarmed in]
[This is hilarious lololol]
“I’m just going to read the ones with normal titles. Not that the content will necessarily be any better, though.”
At the very least, if the title looked okay, maybe I could avoid a full-on stream disaster.
With that thought, I started looking for posts with decent titles.
[Title: I Have a Reason Why I Must Attend This Concert.]
The title sounded pretty serious.
Compared to the other posts, it was definitely one of the more sincere ones.
“This one does look kind of sincere.”
[Rage emoji]
[+HurryAndLeave: That’s the kind of person who should get the ticket lol]
[Could be all serious and still empty inside tho]
[Let’s read the main text]
[Pepe: Why do I still feel like this is going to be bait lololol]
I decided to read this one seriously.
[Title: I Have a Reason Why I Must Attend This Concert.]
[Content: I was just living, you know? Nothing special, not thinking much.
But when Yottu said they were giving out tickets, it was like I snapped awake.
Oh, right. I’m someone who needs to go to this. Lately, nothing’s been fun. Every day just feels like something to endure.]
[Content: But somehow, this concert, it feels like my last chance to bring color back into my life. If I miss this, honestly, I don’t know what I’ll have left to look forward to. I mean it. No exaggeration. This is the last bit of fuel I’ve got in my tank.]
[Content: Yottu, do you know how hollow I’ve been feeling? It took me 30 minutes to pick one snack at the convenience store. Because that’s the only reason I have left to keep going.]
[Content: But if I go to this concert, just for that moment, I feel like I’ll finally be able to say, ‘Ah, I’m alive.’ Please give me the ticket.]
[Content: No, please. This time, it’s not just about wanting it. It’s about surviving. I’m gonna go take a breath now. Under the stage lights, in the middle of the crowd’s singing, I want to be the version of me that’s alive.]
“…How desperate are you, seriously?”
[I’m speechless lolololol]
[This is what true desperation looks like…]
[This is hilarious lol]
[+HurryAndLeave: Dang, must really mean it—who writes that much otherwise]
[Pepe: Say what you want, but yeah… this one feels real]
Turns out, picking the first ticket recipient didn’t take as long as I thought it would.
So now.
“Alright, you all saw that, right? Better go tweak your posts.”
It was time to pick who would get the second ticket.
