Maybe it was because the first one was just that powerful, but it seemed like everyone started editing their posts.
Every time I refreshed, the titles of the posts were changing in real time.
“Looks like everyone’s making edits.”
There was no other reason for that many titles to be shifting like that all at once.
I waited for a bit, thinking it was kind of fascinating.
And after a little while.
“Alright, I’ll start checking again now. Looks like everyone’s done fixing theirs.”
[+HurryAndLeave: Let’s gooo]
[Can’t wait to see how ridiculous some of these stories are lol]
[Rage fans probably dropped some seriously unhinged stories]
[I am kinda excited tho lol]
[Pepe: It’s only fun if the stories feel slightly fake—if it’s too fake, it’s boring]
Honestly, I wasn’t expecting any truly heartfelt stories.
I mean, if someone were a real fan of Seolhwa, they probably already got their hands on tickets.
And I doubted they’d be watching my stream in real time.
So in a way, this was basically a “Let’s See Who Can Make Up the Best Story” competition.
With that in mind, I started checking the new posts one by one.
Click.
I’d read quite a few of them by now.
“Hmm… No one really stands out enough to give it to.”
They were all kind of… meh.
Some of the stories were a little funny, sure, but not enough to actually win a ticket.
If I was going to give one out, I wanted it to go to someone really entertaining.
While I was thinking it over.
“Ah.”
I got a good idea.
“There are two people I kind of liked… So, how about we decide using Yacha Rule?”
The good ol’ Yacha Rule.
Since it was hard for me to choose myself, I figured letting fate (and chaos) decide would make it more fun.
[?]
[+HurryAndLeave: Wait, we’re really doing Yacha Rule now?]
[I’m actually good at Yacha Rule. Who wants to 1v1 me?]
[Yacha Rule is pretty fun lol]
[But like… are we actually meeting up in real life?]
[Pepe: Wasn’t the Yacha Rule thing just a joke?]
[Judging by the way he said it… doesn’t seem like he’s joking lololol]
[I’m down to take it seriously, but someone book us an arena first]
“Hmm? Of course we’re not doing it in real life. Why would we do that in person?”
I was caught off guard.
I figured everyone would know I meant the online version of Yacha Rule, but suddenly they were bringing up real-life stuff.
[I mean, you did say Yacha Rule, so we kinda assumed it’d be in person lol]
[No sense of context, huh Rage emoji]
[If that’s what “no sense” means, then I’m glad I’m clueless lolololol]
[+HurryAndLeave: Didn’t even think about online Yacha Rule]
[So who are the two finalists?]
[Come on, we all know. Only two people wrote real stories anyway lol]
“I already DM’d the two people I liked.”
I’d sent messages to them through another monitor.
Didn’t want to waste any time.
And not long after.
Ding!
Ding!
[Let’s go right now]
[I’m here and ready]
Confident replies came rolling in.
“Okay, since both agreed, we’ll do the game in a battle royale. Fists only—no guns.
Shooting doesn’t fit the spirit of Yacha Rule.”
I needed to see them square off, and getting one-shot by a gun would be no fun.
Plus, it wouldn’t be that entertaining for the stream.
[+HurryAndLeave: Fistfight LOL]
[Fist-only matches are kinda brutal though]
[Rage emoji This is peak Yacha Rule]
[Pepe: Honestly, this might be hilarious lol]
[Let’s go, let’s gooo]
[Yacha Rule (online)]
Yeah, it did seem like it was going to be fun.
I was curious who would come out on top.
Thinking it was going to be an entertaining match.
I invited the two of them into a private room.
“Alright, fists only. You can use some grapple moves, but let’s agree to keep it within reasonable limits, yeah?”
[Geomseong: Got it]
[StarGirl: Okayyy]
Even their nicknames felt like they meant business.
I wrapped up the rules with the two of them.
[+HurryAndLeave: Why does this seem like it’s gonna be so good lolololol]
[This is gonna be wild]
[But isn’t the winner already kinda obvious?]
[Pepe: How’s a regular person supposed to beat Geomseong lol]
[Yeah no one’s beating Geomseong…]
[You can’t beat Geomseong. It’s just fact.]
After a bit of small talk, time passed, and then.
“Alright, we’re starting now.”
The fight for Seolhwa’s concert ticket had officially begun.
‘This might be a close match.’
That was what I thought.
Wham! Wham! Wham! WHAM!
Geomseong suddenly started landing blow after blow on StarGirl at insane speed.
All with nothing but fists.
“…Is that speed even possible?”
I was a little stunned.
I’d never seen punches thrown that fast.
[+HurryAndLeave: They’re going full Blade Rain mode lol]
[You can’t not lose it over Blade Rain lol]
[Now we see why they named themselves Geomseong (Sword Saint)]
[Named themself Geomseong and only uses fists. Iconic.]
[Pepe: StarGirl’s not even getting a hit in lolololol]
And then, a moment later.
[Geomseong: Got ‘em.]
Geomseong finished off their opponent almost too easily.
It felt like they had been training their fists just for this day.
Impressed, I opened my mouth.
“Alright, I’ll send over the ticket now.”
[Geomseong: Ah, thank you!]
[Geomseong: I’ve always wanted to go at least once]
And with that, the second concert ticket found its owner.
The next day.
“Aah, my voice is a little hoarse.”
“Ah! Take it slow, oppa.”
“Yeah.”
I was at Seolhwa’s studio.
The reason was simple.
We needed to produce a separate track for the concert.
Sure, we had done some rough work last time, but that wasn’t nearly enough to make it stage-ready.
There was still a long way to go.
If we’re doing this, might as well do it right.
With that mindset, we started discussing what kind of sound would have the most impact at the concert.
“Personally, I think drums would be a solid choice. If we ask the band, it probably wouldn’t be too hard to get a few more drum hits in.”
“Ooh… that’s a good idea.”
It did sound like a good idea.
At live concerts, drums are usually the crowd-pleaser.
But… I felt like there had to be something even better.
Just as I was thinking it over.
“Ah, right.”
An instrument came to mind.
One that could instantly fire up the whole crowd.
“Let’s add some electric guitar.”
Electric guitar.
“…Electric guitar?”
Seolhwa looked at me with a slightly doubtful expression.
Which was fair.
It wasn’t just a regular guitar—we were talking about an electric guitar, and that’s not something you casually throw into a song.
“Yeah. Thinking about it now, I feel like using an electric guitar could really work.
If we mix it into the arrangement, it might make things a lot more exciting.”
As I said that, I started rearranging the track right then and there, adding the electric guitar in real-time.
You know how there’s that slight pause after you belt out the hook?
If we add the electric guitar there, it might sound really good.
“—maybe~”
After that soft melody and Seolhwa’s high note.
ZHING.
The piercing sound of the electric guitar filled the studio.
And over it, Seolhwa’s vocals came crashing in.
It wasn’t a vocal line from this original track.
It was one we’d pulled in from another song earlier.
“…What do you think?”
Honestly, I was super satisfied.
Way more than I expected, actually.
But just because I liked it didn’t mean we were done.
What mattered was whether Seolhwa was satisfied.
Hope this matches her taste…
I really thought it turned out great, so I found myself hoping she’d nod in approval.
And then.
“…Oppa.”
“Huh?”
Seolhwa called out to me and said.
“This is amazing.”
A totally positive reaction.
“Let’s go with this version.”
And just like that, our concert prep slowly started moving forward.
A few days passed after that.
“Sunbae, the exam’s next week. Have you prepared for it?”
“…Wait, seriously?”
“Yes.”
I was hit with what felt like a bolt from the blue.
An exam?
I’d been so busy lately, I hadn’t even realized that we had a test coming up.
“I’m screwed.”
There was no way I could cram properly now.
It was like I’d already crossed the point of no return.
Basically, I had no hope.
Sigh…
A deep sigh slipped out on its own.
While I was stuck wondering what to do.
“Sunbae, I’ll give you the notes I organized. You can at least do some last-minute cramming with these…!”
Ryu Arim said that and handed over her notebook.
I was genuinely moved.
She must’ve put a ton of effort into making those notes, yet she was handing them over so easily.
“…Thanks. I’ll use them quickly and return them right away.”
With that, I took the notebook and rushed back home.
I needed to start studying as soon as possible, even one day earlier would make a difference.
But then.
Oh, right.
The stream.
I remembered I needed to go live.
But it felt a bit tricky.
Normally, I’d just start streaming without hesitation, but this time, things were pretty urgent.
While I was debating what to do.
“What if I just… stream while I study?”
The thought came to mind that I could just turn on the broadcast and study.
[The stream has started!]
And so I acted on it.
