Right before entering the event venue, we all put on our masks.
The reason was simple.
We didn’t want our faces to be recognized.
‘People probably recognize Glim’s face a lot.’
There was no need to take unnecessary risks.
If someone happened to see our faces, it would be a real mess.
“Then let’s be careful as we look around.”
“Yep.”
And so, we entered the venue as discreetly as possible.
‘Not sure if things will go the way we hope.’
There were probably plenty of people who would recognize Glim.
Unlike us, she had shown her face publicly.
She had even posted an announcement in her fan cafe:
[Please don’t come up and talk to me. It’s fine if you just happen to see me, but approaching me could make things a bit uncomfortable.]
Still, just because there was a notice didn’t mean everyone would follow it.
There would definitely be someone who ignored it and said something.
It wasn’t illegal or anything.
That’s why we met up this early.
We wanted to look around quickly, just in case anything strange happened.
If the place got too crowded, it could be risky.
Creak.
As we opened the doors to the event hall and stepped inside, we saw that even though it was still early, there were already a lot of people.
Probably because there was only one day left in the event, so people came early.
‘It would’ve been nice if there were a few less people.’
Thinking it was a bit of a shame, I began showing Glim and Ryu Arim around the event.
“Oh, there’s a character I drew.”
“Oh… I saw you draw that one on stream.”
“I put a lot of effort into that one.”
I really had worked hard on that illustration.
It was the first commission I ever received from the Heart Memorial team.
I’d poured everything I had into it.
‘Though, now that I see it again, I think there are a few things I could fix.’
Even though I’d been chatting a lot while drawing it on stream, I was still satisfied that the quality turned out this good.
With that in mind, we started walking around, focusing on the areas I had visited yesterday.
“If you go to the right over here, there’s a place where you can get a small tattoo.”
“Oh, really?”
“Yeah, yeah.”
“Let’s check it out…!”
Though they were called tattoos, they weren’t permanent at all.
More like the temporary tattoos you often see at festivals.
Perfect for doing just for fun.
“Want to try one just for fun?”
“I’m down.”
“Same here.”
Ryu Arim and I had agreed to talk as if it were our first time meeting.
I could’ve told Glim about it too, but I decided not to.
It just didn’t feel necessary.
And I didn’t want her to feel left out.
So we entered the booth offering tattoos.
“Please wait just a moment. We’re still setting up. It’ll only take about three minutes.”
“Ah, okay.”
While waiting, we sat and looked through a design book that was placed to one side.
There were all sorts of sticker tattoos.
Since it was part of the Heart Memorial event, most of them were characters related to that world.
“Hmm… there’s a lot to choose from.”
“Right? Hmmm, which one should I pick…”
While we were trying to decide which sticker tattoo to get.
“Then I’ll go with this one.”
Ryu Arim made her decision right away.
I thought she’d take a bit more time to think it over.
“I think this one’s really pretty, so I’m going with it.”
She said that as she pointed to a sticker tattoo in the design book.
“Oh, that one.”
It was a character I had drawn myself.
I hadn’t expected that one to be here too.
“So this one made it here too, huh.”
“I looked at the others too, but this one seemed the nicest, so I’ll go with it.”
“Oh-ho… then I’ll pick this one.”
Since it came to that, I decided right away too.
I was originally going to pick a Heart Memorial character, but… having a male character tattooed on my body felt a little off, so I went with an animal sticker instead.
“I’ll go with the lion. It looks pretty cool.”
After choosing our tattoos, we waited a few more minutes before a staff member inside the booth waved us over.
“All set! You can come in one at a time.”
Ryu Arim went in first.
She handed over the design she chose, and while we waited briefly, the staff applied the character to her arm.
It was more detailed and beautiful than I expected.
“Oh, that turned out really well.”
“Right? I actually like it a lot.”
When it was my turn, I sat down.
I handed over the lion design I picked earlier, and the staff smiled slightly while preparing the spot.
“This one’s pretty popular. Especially with women… but it looks good on guys too.”
“Yeah, lions are cool.”
Cold gel touched my arm, followed by the sensation of the design being pressed firmly into place.
There was a brief sting, but it faded quickly.
As the film was slowly peeled away, the strong figure of the lion appeared.
“That suits you.”
Glim nodded as she spoke.
She had chosen a very small cat-shaped design for the back of her hand.
The cute cat sitting quietly at the edge of her hand was such a Glim-like choice.
Once all three of us finished, we stepped out of the booth.
I expected it to still be quiet since it was early, but there were quite a few people around.
Still, thanks to the masks, we didn’t attract too much attention.
“So, where to next?”
Glim asked.
“I heard there’s a merch zone over that way. Let’s see if they’ve got any limited editions.”
“Merch is hard to resist.”
On the way to the merch zone, we passed by the cosplay area.
Some of the people I saw yesterday were there again today.
They must’ve come out to cosplay two days in a row.
‘That’s gotta be exhausting.’
Dressing up like that for two days straight couldn’t be easy.
Thinking it was pretty impressive, we briefly browsed the cosplay area and continued on to the merch zone.
There was a short line at the entrance of the merch zone, but it moved quickly.
Inside, each table showcased a different work, character stands, acrylic keychains, badges, sticker sets.
“Oh, wow. There’s a lot to see. I came in with high expectations, and this is great.”
“I actually talked to the event organizer about stuff like this. I said it’d be nice to have more spaces like this.”
I’m not sure if my feedback was passed on exactly as I said it, but it seemed like at least some of it got through.
With that in mind, I started browsing the merchandise.
“Is there… anything you’d like? I can get you something, if you want.”
I meant it.
It’s not like I get to meet Glim often.
I could at least treat her to something once.
When I asked, Glim seemed to think about it for a moment.
“Then… I’ll go with this one..! The others are nice too, but this one caught my eye.”
She picked a character I was very familiar with.
It was the same one I had worked on earlier.
“Then I’ll get two of these.”
And with that, we continued wandering around the venue while chatting casually.
[Title: So are Glim and Yotte actually meeting in real life?]
[Content: lol? Weren’t they only ever talking online and never met in person before?]
L: Probably looks like they really are meeting
N: Yeah yeah, neither of them are the shy type anyway
N: They’re not… doing that kind of stuff after meeting, right? Please no…
N: bruh
L: Let them meet, why not
[Title: So if I go to the event today, can I actually see Glim and Yotte in person??]
[Content: Going right now lol]
L: It’s fine to go but please don’t cause a scene…
L: Seriously
N: Don’t mess it up and make them stop streaming
L: Just watch from a distance gg
N: lol not like I have the guts to talk to them anyway
[Title: I’m at the Heart Memorial event right now—who are these people?]
[Content: (Photo) I couldn’t take it from the front, so it’s just the backs, but isn’t that Glim?]
L: Hey, bitch stop taking sneaky pics. Fuck.
N: Was the gallery always full of creeps like this…?
L: Seriously
L: They’re totally gonna post this later on that “Twis Gallery Scandals” wiki or whatever. Report it, gg
N: I feel gross being grouped with people like this
N: Sure, I might be a weeb who jerks it to 2D, but even I don’t act this shady
L: Who’s the other person next to her?
N: I think she said on stream she was going with Ryu Arim
N: Ryu Arim’s body is insane lol
[Title: Glim stopped by our booth in real time dd]
[Content: I really wanted to say hi since I watch her streams a lot, but there were other people around, so I held back lololol]
L: Wasn’t that Yotte next to her?
N: Why was Yotte there? 😕
N: Did you not watch the stream yesterday? He said he was going with her
N: Wow, really. I totally thought that was her boyfriend so I didn’t even say hi.
N: Is he good-looking?
N: Dunno. He was wearing a mask, so I couldn’t see clearly, but his voice was nice
N: I bet he’s handsome lol
And so, the day after going to the Heart Memorial event with Glim—
[The stream has started!]
“Ah, hey everyone.”
I started the stream like always.
Today, I had a few things to talk about related to Seolhwa.
And also, share a bit about what happened at the event yesterday while I was at it.
