‘Secret Art?!’
Yisela’s eyes lit up immediately, shining like two burning rubies.
“Sister Saint, tell me quickly!”
“What kind of powerful ancient divine skill is it?”
“Or which legendary forbidden technique?”
“Ah, this secret art I never tell anyone.”
Seraphina deliberately dragged out her tone, gently twirling a strand of hair around her finger, a teasing smile playing on her lips.
“Then what will you use to trade with me?”
Yisela immediately started making empty promises, well aware that Sister Saint loved seeing her act spoiled and mischievous.
“I’ll be your beast of burden in the future!”
“If anyone dares to bully you, I’ll bite them with my teeth!”
“I’ll even steal the Grand Elder of the Silver Dragon Clan’s dentures and bring them back to you as a souvenir!”
Seraphina still looked at her with a smile, pretending not to be moved at all, but in her heart, she was already overjoyed, thinking this little one was absolutely adorable.
Yisela grew anxious at once. She quickly leaned in, wrapped her arms around Seraphina’s neck, and started acting spoiled, burying her little face in the Sister Saint’s neck and nuzzling back and forth like a little cat.
She saw that Sister Saint still had that “I’m reserved” look, so her eyes rolled and suddenly she showed a mischievous grin.
“Since Sister Saint won’t tell me…”
Yisela suddenly leaned in very close. Before Seraphina could react, she vengefully gave her a loud smack right on the lips.
“Mmph!”
Seraphina froze completely, her usually holy face instantly turning bright red, even her ears burning. She quickly covered her mouth with her hand and glared at Yisela, embarrassed and annoyed.
“Alright, alright!”
“I’ll tell you!”
Seraphina’s voice trembled slightly, clearly flustered by the sudden kiss.
“All you ever do is make empty promises to your sister, you little naughty dragon!”
Yisela proudly lifted her little chin, a cunning glint flashing in her eyes.
“Then hurry up and say it!”
Seraphina sighed helplessly, then straightened her expression and pointed to a wooden box nearby.
“The so-called secret art is actually super simple—it relies on equipment.”
“It relies on equipment?”
“That’s right, it relies on a lot of gold coins to arm yourself.”
Seraphina opened the wooden box. With a dazzling flash of light, Yisela’s entire expression froze in shock. The table was instantly covered with all kinds of bottles and jars, as well as a pile of equipment emitting astonishing magical fluctuations—it was like a small armory.
“First, there are 20 magic scrolls here.”
Seraphina picked up a stack of parchment and introduced them as if counting precious family treasures.
“There are various types; you need to use them separately depending on the situation.”
“There are healing, control, self-enhancement, fire, ice, lightning…!”
“In short, all kinds.”
Then she picked up a pair of short boots flowing with colorful light.
“These are the Holy Spirit Boots, a platinum-level magical device.”
“Normally, you’d need platinum-level magic power to activate them, but I’ve already stored magic power inside them.”
“You can use them three times a day, each time lasting one minute.”
“Once you wear them, the speed you can burst will directly surpass the sound barrier.”
Finally, she pulled out a silver armguard.
“This is called the Holy Light Armguard.”
“It can also be used three times a day, and you can accumulate power for an explosive attack.”
Yisela stared at this mountain of priceless treasures, her mouth wide enough to fit an egg.
“This…!”
“This is way too precious, isn’t it?”
“Sister Saint, are you really giving all these to me?”
“They’re all for you.”
Seraphina’s gaze was immensely tender yet resolute. She reached out and gently stroked the top of Yisela’s head.
“Use them well.”
“Remember one thing: once you encounter enemies at Gold Rank or Platinum Level, you must run.”
“These equipment are all meant to make your escape faster, not for you to go die.”
Yisela suddenly fell silent.
‘These are no ordinary items.’
‘The wind magic core on those Holy Spirit Boots is terrifyingly pure; even the court’s head mage would be envious.’
‘And those scrolls, each one exudes an impressive aura.’
‘This entire pile must have taken Seraphina ages of saving gold coins, and even using her personal connections to obtain.’
When Seraphina saw how delighted Yisela looked, she felt all her previous efforts were completely worth it.
Yisela hugged the equipment, her voice starting to choke.
“Sister Saint…!”
“You’re so good to me.”
“What a fool.”
Seraphina gently held her, burying Yisela’s little head into her own embrace, softly patting Yisela’s back as she spoke.
“As long as you can be safe, even if I have to empty the entire temple (the Elder says: …), I’m willing.”
On a cliff not far away, Ailiya watched this scene from below and silently released the hand gripping her sword hilt.
Looking at the mountain of equipment piled up, Ailiya’s frown tightened even more.
“Equipment…!”
She murmured to herself in a very small voice, her tone laced with complex emotions.
“So…!”
“Is this the only thing she can rely on now?”
‘Yisela really has become so weak now.’
Ailiya turned around, her red cape fluttering in the night wind.
“Just you wait, Yisela.”
“Next time we meet, I’ll definitely make sure you don’t look at me like I’m some small fry anymore.”
