Chapter 46: Why the Regret?

“Time to get up, An Yu, it’s not bedtime yet, okay?”

The voice was soft and pleasant, but An Yu ignored the words and only wanted to sleep more.

“Goodness, what am I going to do with you…?” 

Ning Wanciu was clearly a little helpless, at a loss over An Yu’s behavior.

For An Yu, sleeping clearly took priority over eating, so she merely frowned and buried her head deeper into the big pillow.

On the other side, Huai Xiang, who had just finished her punishment standing, returned to her seat and suddenly sneezed.

Who was talking about her!

She looked around in confusion but couldn’t spot anything unusual. 

If there was anything special, it was that her good sister Ning Wanciu was hugging An Yu.

Ning Wanciu didn’t know if this would work, but she had no other ideas.

Fortunately, An Yu finally reacted.

The voice reached her ears.

It seemed the big pillow was saying she could keep her company anytime from now on?

Then could she just take her home? 

The bed was missing a pillow.

An Yu’s eyelashes fluttered; she slowly opened her eyes, as if to confirm the truth.

“Mm…?”

Feeling the soft, comfortable embrace, An Yu let out a puzzled sound. 

It really was Ning Wanciu in front of her, and it really was her speaking.

But hadn’t she been in class? 

Fighting the sleep demon?

How had it suddenly turned into this—was it a dream? 

Then it was a pretty good dream; she could sleep well even in a dream.

Way better than dreaming about An Qing.

She slowly lifted her head and saw Ning Wanciu looking a bit embarrassed.

Oh, it really was the big pillow, not a dream.

“Good morning, Ning Wanciu.”

“…Mm.” 

Ning Wanciu smiled helplessly: “Good morning, An Yu.”

“Class is starting soon; can you get down first?”

Hearing that, An Yu blinked. 

Only then did she realize she was completely held in Ning Wanciu’s arms—no wonder she kept smelling sunshine.

“Oh.” After a soft acknowledgment, An Yu left Ning Wanciu’s embrace.

Still, being held was definitely more comfortable.

An Yu looked up at Ning Wanciu, who was smiling helplessly at her.

“Ning Wanciu.”

Just pure instinct. 

Normally, the two only met during lunch break, and the break after first period was too short.

Last night, Ning Wanciu had used the bathroom escape technique.

She really hadn’t wanted to stay any longer at this banquet with impure motives.
