S Country
Staring at the sealed room before her, Jin Ke’er felt an overwhelming sense of suffocation.
She thought she desperately needed emotional release.
Even electroshock therapy no longer fazed her.
What tormented her more was the anguish festering inside.
Ever since she slapped that nurse, the woman had kept her word and said nothing but she never returned again.
It had only been a few days, yet she was already growing irritable and restless, itching to destroy something.
But she was still afraid—afraid that word of what happened here might reach her family.
Someone who couldn’t even control their own emotions would never gain their family’s approval.
She had no choice but to forcibly suppress her urges.
If only…
If only Su Li were here, she could hurl insults at her endlessly!
She could even wrap her hands tightly around Su Li’s neck and knead her thighs!
Make her lick her toes!
Bite into her neck and leave mark after mark that belonged only to her.
She could even dig into Su Li’s education background and savor the twisted look of pain on her face.
Jin Ke’er shifted the cane in her hand, biting down hard on her lip.
She couldn’t wait to see Su Li playing with her cane…
Right now, that cane felt like a part of her—letting Su Li play with it would be no different than letting her play with her leg.
“Su Li… Su Li…”
She murmured Su Li’s name under her breath, her pale, slender fingers tightening around the cane in her hands, a flush rising in her cheeks.
“Miss Jin, it’s time for your treatment.”
The doctor’s voice snapped Jin Ke’er back to reality.
She looked at the cold machine in front of her and the empty room, clenching her fists before slowly stepping inside.
Her pants were already soaked with sweat, and the pain had long since dulled.
Her fingernails dug into her palms, leaving deep marks.
Fortunately, a nurse had noticed what was happening in the treatment room and brought her a small pillow—otherwise, her palm might have been gouged open and bleeding.
Jin Ke’er rejected the offer to lower the current intensity, and just like before, had them prepare a blanket to cover her.
Su Li was like some filthy impurity—utterly beneath her notice.
Caring too much would only make her look weak.
In the end, she chose to face it all head-on.
To face Su Li and confront her—if just thinking about Su Li could help her endure the pain, then…
There was nothing wrong with using her.
After all, she paid for Su Li’s services.
That made Su Li hers.
Even if seeing Su Li reminded her of those dark and lowly days, as long as she faced those memories and kept Su Li hidden away, no one would ever know what had happened to her.
Jin Ke’er slowly sat up from the chair, feeling the numbness in her legs, and reached for the cane nearby.
She realized she’d never felt this clearheaded before.
As long as she paid to see Su Li, to have her by her side during therapy—there would come a day when she could stand on her own again.
If only…
If only, during treatment, she could dig her fingers into Su Li’s arm and feel her warm blood trickle along her fingertips just the thought of it made her heart leap with excitement.
Clang.
Jin Ke’er felt her heart pounding violently, like a volcano about to erupt.
Her breathing turned ragged, and she almost wanted to cover her flushed face with her hands.
The cane in her hand fell to the ground, shattering her fantasy.
Looking around the empty room, she slowly remembered—Su Li was no longer by her side.
No matter what…
She had to find her…
Even if she was lowly as dirt.
Even if she came from a world far beneath hers.
Impurities had their uses too.
Su Li would be the stepping stone on her path to success—helping her climb higher, one step at a time.
“Yinyun.”
Jin Ke’er called softly. A woman in professional attire quickly approached, picking up the fallen cane.
“Miss.”
“I want Su Li’s contact information.”
Jin Ke’er said calmly.
Su Li was so lowly and so infatuated with her—if she so much as looked back, Su Li would come running like a dog abandoned by its master, tail wagging, begging for her affection.
Jin Ke’er’s lips curled upward.
Just imagining Su Li groveling to please her made her want to hum with delight.
“Miss, I haven’t been able to reach Su Li either.”
“After the transaction ended, she deleted my contact information completely.”
“I even went to the places where I used to know she hung around, but I couldn’t find her there either.”
Lan Yinyun spoke apologetically.
Even though the deal between Su Li and Jin Ke’er was over, she knew all too well the temperament of her young mistress.
As long as the young lady’s temper remained unchecked, there would come a day when she needed Su Li again.
What surprised her, though, was that a penniless student like Su Li had actually cut off contact with both her and Jin Ke’er.
This was her only chance to get close to someone in the upper circles—something most people wouldn’t achieve in a lifetime.
And Su Li just threw it away!
“Useless!”
“You’re completely useless!”
“What’s the point of keeping you around if you can’t even find one person?!”
“Is Su Li some kind of noble? Wouldn’t finding her information be an easy task for you?!”
Jin Ke’er shouted in fury, glaring at Lan Yinyun.
She could barely stop herself from smashing her cane into the woman’s head.
She couldn’t even handle something this simple!
But then she remembered that Lan Yinyun knew quite a few of her secrets and was still useful to her.
Jin Ke’er managed to restrain her impulse.
Her brows furrowed, and the delicate softness of her pale face gradually twisted into a look of cruelty.
Even in her rage, there was still something strangely alluring about her.
“Su Li… Su Li…”
Jin Ke’er muttered through gritted teeth, the fury on her face slowly transforming into a smirk.
“Just a filthy little mutt trying to play hard to get, huh? Fine, I’ll play along.”
A cruel smile crept across her lips, and her eyes gleamed with anticipation as she looked at the cane in her hand.
As long as she had the grain, there’d always be chickens to feed.
“Didn’t you love money?”
“Once I return home, I want to see if you can still act all tough when I wave cash in front of your face like you did when you deleted me.”
Jin Ke’er didn’t believe Su Li could resist her—especially not when she brought both money and pressure to bear.
