A dark shadow was racing across the wilderness.
After riding for nearly half an hour, Little Frost suddenly caught sight of a solitary Three-story Villa on the outskirts. Its exquisite architectural style was completely out of place among the surrounding desolate ruins.
“There’s a house!”
The hunger and thirst of the past few days caused her to instantly lose her usual composure. She suddenly pushed down hard with her feet.
“Creak—!”
White Night’s main body let out a strained sound. The rusted metal frame emitted a tooth-aching twist, sounding as if it would fall apart in the next second.
“Hey, gentler! Auntie Frost, be gentler!”
White Night panicked. Although she couldn’t manifest, her Soul Body was darting around in mid-air with anxiety.
“Auntie Frost, take it easy. If you keep pushing like that, the chain is going to snap.”
“Sorry.”
Little Frost quickly eased up, stroking the handlebars with an apologetic expression.
“I got too excited and lost control… After all, I haven’t eaten in so long.”
Her strength was now terrifyingly immense. If she wasn’t careful, she could easily dismantle White Night’s old bones.
The person and the bike slowed down, cautiously arriving before the villa’s main gate. The perimeter wall was 4 meters high, topped with coiled barbed wire—it would have been a solid line of defense before the Apocalypse.
“Little White Night, wait for me here.”
Little Frost patted the seat and walked to the iron gate.
She didn’t look for a foothold like she used to. Instead, she reached out with her fair palms and gripped the iron bars.
She exerted force with both arms.
Her entire body leaped lightly onto the 4-meter-high wall. The movement was effortless and graceful, though her tight skirt strained slightly against her hips.
‘This potion’s effect… is truly ridiculous.’
White Night watched from below, completely dumbfounded.
A moment later, the gate was pulled open from the inside.
Little Frost pushed White Night into the courtyard. The yard was overgrown with weeds, looking as though it hadn’t been maintained in a long time.
Little Frost tried knocking on the front door, but no one answered.
She decided not to stand on ceremony. Using her incredible physical agility, she climbed onto the second-floor terrace and flipped through an open window.
A few minutes later, the front door opened, and Little Frost pushed White Night inside.
“This place… is simply paradise.”
Looking at everything inside, Little Frost couldn’t help but marvel.
This villa was actually equipped with an independent solar power system.
She turned the faucet, and clear tap water gushed out.
Opening the double-door refrigerator, she found it stuffed with vegetables that were slightly dehydrated but still edible. The freezer was packed with steaks and frozen foods.
Even in a side hall on the first floor, there was a fully equipped private gym. Various dumbbells and barbells were scattered across the floor, suggesting the owner was a fitness fanatic.
“Great… there’s water!”
What Little Frost found most unbearable right now wasn’t the hunger, but the filth.
The black grime expelled during the Marrow Cleansing was stuck to her body, smelling foul and itching intensely. For a woman who loved cleanliness, it was pure torture.
Without a second word, she scooped White Night up by the frame and charged into the spacious bathroom.
“Wait, Auntie Frost, what are you doing?” White Night exclaimed.
“Taking a bath. You’re filthy too, so we’re washing together.”
“It’s fine. I’ll dry you off when we’re done. Besides, that smell of expired oil is too strong; it has to be washed away.”
Little Frost ignored the protests and turned on the showerhead.
Warm water poured down, instantly soaking both the woman and the bike.
Little Frost didn’t wash herself first. Instead, she grabbed a soft towel, squeezed out some body wash, and began to meticulously scrub White Night.
From the handlebars to the crossbar, down to every rusted joint.
The warm water, the fragrant bubbles, and those gentle, powerful hands moving over her…
Although White Night was currently a body of steel, as a vessel possessed of a soul, the sensation was clearly transmitted to the depths of her consciousness.
“Nngh… don’t scrub so hard there… it tickles…”
White Night’s Soul Body couldn’t help but tremble. The entire bike felt a little dizzy.
“Still shy?”
Little Frost jiggled the handlebars slightly and let out a light laugh.
Water slid down her exquisite face, washing away the black grime to reveal the even fairer and more delicate skin beneath.
“Who… who’s shy? I’m just worried about the water causing rust,” White Night argued stubbornly.
After finally finishing the ambiguous and torturous bath, Little Frost wrapped herself in a large bath towel. She carefully wiped every drop of water off White Night and even used a hairdryer on the chain.
Having finished all this, Little Frost finally felt like she had come back to life.
She went into the kitchen, fried two thick-cut steaks, and boiled a pot of frozen dumplings.
After devouring the meal, she let out a satisfied burp and carried White Night up to the master bedroom on the second floor.
She realized her appetite was now terrifying. That wasn’t a good thing in the middle of a Weirdness apocalypse…
Little Frost felt a bit troubled.
The owner of this house seemed to be a woman living alone; there were quite a few large-sized women’s clothes in the closet.
Little Frost didn’t hold back and found a nightgown to change into.
The nightgown was surprisingly large. The female owner’s measurements must be truly significant.
Little Frost sighed in admiration. She carefully placed White Night on the bed, and after lying down herself, she rested one hand on the bike seat.
“Goodnight, Little White Night.”
“Goodnight, Auntie Frost.”
Even though sleeping in a bed in the form of a bicycle was strange, White Night felt the warmth of Little Frost’s palm and soon drifted into a deep sleep.
Late at night.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
A series of urgent and violent bangs on the door woke them both.
“Open up! Please open the door! Help me!”
That voice… it was the long-tongued Female Spook that had been pestering them at the scrapyard.
“She really is relentless.”
Little Frost snapped her eyes open, a hint of killing intent flashing in her gaze.
She didn’t turn on the lights. Silently carrying White Night, she went downstairs.
Looking through the peephole, she saw that it was indeed the Long-tongued Monster.
Its hideous face was practically pressed against the door, and its long tongue was wiggling through the door crack, seemingly trying to pick the lock.
“White Night, you were right. Fear needs to be faced,” Little Frost whispered, her tone cold and sharp.
She placed White Night in the living room and turned into the gym.
A moment later, she emerged carrying a barbell in one hand.
“Auntie Frost, what are you doing?” White Night asked in surprise.
“Physical Salvation.”
Little Frost stepped lightly as she climbed back up to the second-floor terrace.
She tapped the barbell against the iron railing.
Clang. Clang.
The sound instantly caught the Long-tongued Monster’s attention.
It backed away from the main door and looked up, its dead-fish eyes staring malevolently at Little Frost on the terrace.
Little Frost took a deep breath, her muscles tensing. The sudden explosion of power caused her nightgown to flutter.
“Here you go!”
With all her might, she hurled the barbell downward.
Boom—!
Her luck was indeed excellent.
[Passive Miracle Critical triggered!]
A massive roar sounded like a clap of thunder on clear ground.
The earth vibrated violently, and dust billowed.
When the dust settled, a 0.5-meter-deep crater had been smashed into the concrete in front of the villa. As for the arrogant Long-tongued Monster, it had completely vanished.
Or rather, it had turned into a puddle of red and white meat paste at the bottom of the pit.
It hadn’t even had time to scream.
“Hoo… hoo…”
Little Frost leaned against the railing with both hands, panting heavily.
That strike was satisfying, but it had also instantly drained her physical strength.
She felt weak all over. Her legs trembled, and she slumped down onto the terrace.
An unnatural flush rose to her cheeks, and her body felt hot, as if she had developed a high fever.
“Auntie Frost, are you okay?”
White Night sensed her weakness and asked urgently.
“I’m fine… just… overdid it a bit…”
Little Frost gave a bitter smile, her fingertips trembling slightly.
“I didn’t expect the side effect of this Critical to be so large. It feels like I’ve been drained dry.”
She forced herself up and stumbled back to the master bedroom in the dark to lie down.
She was cautious enough not to turn on the lights, avoiding attracting other Weirdness or people.
She thought she could finally rest, but not long after closing her eyes, a soft click came from downstairs.
The sound of a lock turning.
Little Frost was instantly alert, her once blurry eyes turning sharp.
Another Weirdness?
No, Weirdness doesn’t pick locks. It was a person.
Ignoring her physical weakness, she grabbed another dumbbell bar she had hidden by the bedside and crouched in the shadows of the second-floor staircase.
The footsteps were light, yet clearly audible in the silent night.
The intruder walked slowly and steadily.
By the faint Red Moon light filtering through the window, Little Frost saw a slender shadow slowly ascending the stairs.
That shadow… was extremely tall.
Just as the figure was about to step onto the final stair, Little Frost tightened her grip on the dumbbell, preparing to strike.
“You don’t need to hide. Your breathing is too heavy.”
A cool, magnetic female voice suddenly rang out.
The intruder stopped and looked up toward the corner where Little Frost was hiding.
“If you’re planning to hit me with that dumbbell, I’d rather not turn into meat paste like the thing downstairs.”
She had been discovered.
Little Frost was startled, but she quickly calmed down.
Since she was exposed, there was no point in hiding.
She stood up from the shadows. Although her body was weak, her presence was not.
“I found this place first. Who are you?”
“Found it first?”
The other woman let out a light chuckle.
“This is clearly my house.”
Little Frost froze, her grip on the dumbbell loosening slightly.
“You’re… the owner of this villa?”
“I am.”
The tall figure slowly walked up to the second floor, fully exposing herself to the faint glow of the Red Moon.
Little Frost’s pupils couldn’t help but contract.
What a tall woman.
Estimated height was at least 190 centimeters, half a head taller than Little Frost even when Frost was in heels.
A scar ran from her left cheek to her forehead, crawling across her beautiful face like a centipede, making one feel an involuntary sense of pity.
In the dim light, she looked grim and terrifying.
She wore a simple white T-shirt and denim shorts. Her long, exposed legs were filled with explosive muscle lines while retaining feminine grace.
Her hair was tied in a high ponytail. Her figure was no less impressive than Little Frost’s, equally well-endowed, though her frame was a size larger, making her look more proportionate.
“Hello, I’m Mu Yingying. Although I look a bit scary, I’m not a Weirdness.”
Mu Yingying held up her hands and made a joke, indicating she had no ill intent.
“I didn’t bring any weapons either. I don’t want to fight a girl with monster strength who can throw barbells like cannonballs.”
So, she had seen what happened just now.
Little Frost hesitated for a moment before putting down the dumbbell.
“I’m Little Frost. Sorry, I thought no one was here, and I really was starving.”
“Understandable.”
Mu Yingying nodded. Her gaze swept past Little Frost to the somewhat out-of-place bicycle behind her, a hint of doubt flashing in her eyes.
‘This Little Frost is weird. Why did she bring a broken bike upstairs… Does she have a mental problem?’
“Are you going to kick me out…?” Little Frost asked tentatively.
Mu Yingying smiled and shook her head.
“I’m not here to kick anyone out, because this place will soon turn into hell. I only came back to grab a few things before leaving.”
She looked at Little Frost, her expression turning grave.
“Miss Frost, this villa may be comfortable, but it’s a dead zone. Tonight, this place will be surrounded by Weirdness.”
“Are you trying to trick me into leaving…?”
Little Frost didn’t quite believe her and continued to probe.
“Why would I trick you? I’m leaving in a bit anyway. Believe it or not, it’s up to you.”
Mu Yingying shrugged.
“Then why are you telling me this?”
Little Frost could see that the other woman wasn’t exactly the type to act out of pure kindness.
Mu Yingying’s sharp eyes stared at Little Frost, the corners of her mouth curling into a playful arc.
“I’m telling you this because I want you to do me a favor.”
“What favor?” Little Frost became guarded.
“Make a bet with me.”
“A bet?”
Little Frost frowned. She couldn’t understand what this woman was trying to do.
“That’s right.”
Mu Yingying glanced out the window at the bloody night.
“Bet with me, and I’ll tell you even more of what you want to know. How about it?”
Little Frost looked at Mu Yingying suspiciously. “How do we bet? What’s the stake?”
She didn’t agree immediately, but she didn’t refuse either.
“We can bet on anything. How about that bicycle next to you?”
Mu Yingying spoke casually.
“No!”
Little Frost refused without a second thought, pulling White Night behind her and looking at Mu Yingying warily.
Seeing this reaction, Mu Yingying realized the bicycle was definitely unusual.
After all, Little Frost didn’t seem like a mental patient.
“Alright, I was just making a joke to lighten the mood. I don’t want your precious bicycle. The loser just has to answer a few honest questions. Is that okay?”
“Just that?”
Little Frost’s brow furrowed. She truly couldn’t figure out why the other woman was doing this.
