Little Frost held the Red Potion like a precious treasure, her eyes sparkling. When she glanced at the bicycle beside her, the joy on her face flickered for a moment.
She sensed that White Night’s mood was a bit low. Although there was only a trace of loneliness in White Night’s eyes, her shimmering Soul Body had grown noticeably dimmer.
Having spent many years in business, Little Frost was an expert at reading people.
With a little thought, she understood.
She was about to consume a potion that would cause her strength to skyrocket, yet White Night’s physical form was still just a dilapidated bicycle.
Compared like that, anyone would feel bad.
“Little White Night.”
Little Frost set aside her excitement and walked over to the bicycle. She reached out to gently stroke the cold handlebars, her voice soft. “Don’t be unhappy.”
“Look, you have the System now. You’ll definitely be able to upgrade into an amazing RV later. Maybe you’ll even be able to transform.”
“Besides, now that Auntie is getting stronger, I can protect you better.”
“Auntie’s things are your things. We’re a team, aren’t we?”
Hearing these gentle words and feeling the Great Beauty Auntie’s tender stroking, White Night felt a bit embarrassed. She wasn’t jealous; she was just frustrated by her current powerlessness.
She hadn’t expected Auntie Frost to be so observant that she would notice immediately.
“Who… who says I’m unhappy?”
White Night’s Soul Body brightened slightly.
“I was just thinking that since we have something good, you should drink it quickly, Auntie Frost.”
“This damn place is full of Weirdness. The longer we wait, the more things can go wrong. Improving our strength is the only thing that matters.”
Seeing her cheer up, a smile tugged at the corners of Little Frost’s mouth.
“Alright, Auntie will listen to you.”
Without hesitation, she walked to the window. After peering through the gaps in the wooden boards to confirm there were no Weirdness or people around, she unscrewed the cap.
A pungent yet sweet fragrance wafted out. She tilted her head back and downed the red liquid in one gulp.
Gulp.
As the potion hit her throat, Little Frost’s body instantly tensed. A wave of heat exploded in her stomach, surging through her limbs and bones.
“Ugh…”
Little Frost let out a low groan, her entire body trembling uncontrollably. Beads of sweat erupted from her forehead, quickly soaking her entire body. Her tight professional suit, drenched in sweat, clung to her skin and outlined her curves.
She felt like her bones were burning and her cells were cheering.
Her skeleton produced a series of crisp cracks.
Then, a layer of sticky black grime began to seep out of her pores.
“It… it hurts…”
Little Frost unfastened the top two buttons of her shirt, gasping for breath.
“Auntie Frost, are you okay? Is the medicine expired?”
“No… I’m fine…” Little Frost gritted her teeth, her voice trembling. “It feels… like a Marrow Cleansing… the impurities in my body are being pushed out…”
After a while, the burning sensation gradually receded, replaced by a sense of lightness and fulfillment.
Little Frost stood up straight. She clenched her fists, feeling her body brimming with power. She even had the illusion that she could punch through the house with a single strike. Before she could truly savor this power, an acrid, foul stench hit her nose.
“Blegh…”
Little Frost almost gagged. She looked down to see her fair skin covered in a layer of black sludge. Her exquisite professional attire had become filthy and sticky.
“Heavens… this is too disgusting.”
Little Frost covered her face in despair, only to realize her hands were also covered in mud. However, as a female CEO who had built her empire from nothing as an orphan, she gritted her teeth and bore the discomfort.
“Pfft.”
Seeing Little Frost’s look of existential crisis, White Night couldn’t help but laugh.
“Auntie Frost, your current look is a total Doomsday Wasteland Style. It’s very cool.”
“Oh, you! You brat, you’re actually laughing at me?”
Little Frost glared at her in mock annoyance. The grime on her face made the look appear somewhat comical.
“Alright, alright, I’ll stop.” White Night turned serious. “How do you feel? Besides getting dirty, are there any changes to your body?”
“Changes? Huge ones.”
At the mention of this, the annoyance in Little Frost’s eyes was replaced by excitement. She looked around, searching for something to test her strength on. Her gaze finally landed on White Night’s bicycle form.
Little Frost strode over and wiped her filthy hands on her pencil skirt. Then, she extended her slender arms and gripped the bicycle’s crossbar.
“Up!”
Without any preparation or even a hint of struggle, Little Frost lifted the bicycle over her head with one hand. Her arm was steady, without a single tremor.
“Whoa…”
Looking at the bicycle in mid-air, Little Frost was stunned herself.
“This is too light? It feels like I’m holding a foam prop.”
White Night, acting as the prop, did not enjoy the experience. The sudden spinning made her dizzy as the world turned upside down.
“Stop, stop, stop! Auntie Frost, put me down! The blood is rushing to my head! I’m going to puke engine oil!” White Night complained helplessly.
“Ah, sorry, sorry.”
Little Frost snapped out of it and hurriedly, carefully placed the bicycle back on the ground with gentle movements.
“Whew… you scared the life out of me,” White Night said, still shaken.
Little Frost looked at her hands, the corners of her mouth curling up.
Gurgle —
A sound broke Little Frost’s moment of self-absorption. It was her stomach. The physical strengthening had consumed too much energy; she felt like she could eat an entire cow right now.
“I’m so hungry…” Little Frost clutched her stomach, her face falling. “And I really want a bath… this stickiness is driving me crazy.”
She looked at White Night, her gaze turning determined.
“White Night, let’s go.”
“While it’s still light out, we need to find water and food.”
“There’s definitely nothing in this house. We have to search the nearby buildings.”
“We’re leaving?” White Night looked at the grime covering Little Frost, her tone sounding a bit awkward. “Um… Auntie Frost, are you going to ride me?”
“How else would we go?”
“But…” White Night hesitated, but finally couldn’t help but speak up. “You’re covered in mud… My seat might be old, but it’s still my stomach.”
“You’re going to get me dirty…”
“I’m not rejecting you, and I’m not being high-maintenance, but I have to take good care of the vehicle to earn RV Points.”
White Night’s stubborn, tsundere act left Little Frost stunned for a moment before she burst into laughter.
“Alright, Little White Night, you’ve gotten quite bold, haven’t you?”
“You actually dare to be disgusted by your Auntie?”
Little Frost put her hands on her hips in fake anger, her eyes full of mirth. She stepped forward and used a grimy finger to gently poke the bicycle seat, her movements intimate and her tone doting. She felt that White Night was becoming more and more adorable.
“Don’t worry, how could Auntie bear to get you dirty?”
“Auntie knows how to take care of people best.”
“When we find water, I won’t wash myself first. I’ll wipe you down until you’re perfectly clean and smelling great, and then I’ll wash myself. How about that?”
These words made White Night feel bashful, and her Soul Body’s face turned red.
“That… that’s a bit much.”
“I’m not that dramatic…”
“It’s settled then,” Little Frost decided.
She took a deep breath.
Although her whole body felt disgusting and her stomach was gnawing with hunger, she felt very grounded at this moment.
Having a trustworthy companion and the power to protect herself made this Doomsday feel a little less hopeless.
“Get on, we’re heading out.”
Little Frost straddled the bicycle, her rear settling onto the seat.
This time, bolstered by her immense strength, she didn’t even need to pedal hard.
With just a light push, the bicycle shot out of the dilapidated shack, speeding toward the unknown ruins.
The entire seat was enveloped. White Night felt the sticky black discharge along with a warm, soft sensation — it was a mix of agony and ecstasy.
