“Chomp chomp chomp… The school cafeteria food tastes pretty good today.”
“Chomp chomp chomp… It’s alright.”
Canghai City First Senior High School. Cafeteria.
It was noon. All the teachers and students were having lunch.
Sitting across from Li Chi was their homeroom teacher. Yao Shangxing had disappeared somewhere and was currently nowhere to be seen in the cafeteria.
The Mediterranean middle-aged teacher was currently gnawing on a chicken leg with a dark expression. He was clearly dissatisfied.
The other dishes tasted fine, but the chicken leg had been cooked poorly.
As he ate, the teacher suddenly felt like he had accidentally bitten into something that felt like paper scraps.
“Ptooey ptooey ptooey… What is this? Did the cook not clean the ingredients properly?”
Everyone knew it was impossible to find paper inside a chicken leg. Therefore, the Mediterranean middle-aged teacher was certain this had to be some student’s prank.
As for which student it was?
Heh…
The Mediterranean middle-aged teacher spat out the paper scrap and discovered it was a small note rolled into a ball.
Under Li Chi’s curious gaze, the teacher unfolded the note. Six large characters were clearly written on it.
『Students rise, Li Chi reigns!』
“……”
The homeroom teacher stared in disbelief at Li Chi, who was sitting right across from him and eating with an innocent, curious expression. It was as if Li Chi was saying, “Yes, I’m just a little cutie who knows nothing. Don’t look at me.”
So the teacher immediately ruled out Li Chi as the culprit, even though his name was written on the note.
However, this only made him even more nervous.
Because ever since third period that morning, Yao Shangxing had vanished under the pretext of going to the toilet. Until now, the teacher had not seen that guy for a full hour.
A teacher’s intuition told him that something major was about to happen at the school.
Meanwhile, in a certain corner of the school, Yao Shangxing was leading the delinquent boys he had caught on the rooftop earlier. They were preparing several black, tube-shaped objects and a pushcart.
“Boss Yao, the water balloons are ready!”
“Good!” Yao Shangxing shouted with great momentum while looking at the school clock tower. “When lunch ends and nap time begins, we launch the attack!”
“Understood!”
The delinquent boys shouted with high spirits, looking exactly like loyal death warriors willing to die for their lord.
Time passed quickly. Before long, all the students gradually left the cafeteria to enjoy the next two hours of rest time.
The nap bell rang. The campus gradually quieted down.
Yao Shangxing licked his lips. He glanced at the few delinquent boys beside him who were equally excited and nervous, then lowered his voice. “Ready?”
“Ready!”
“Good.” Yao Shangxing took a deep breath and locked his gaze on the rightmost window on the third floor. “Target—Principal’s office! Fire!”
At his command, several delinquent boys worked together to lift a homemade old-style cannon. They loaded a colorful water balloon filled with water and yanked the fuse.
Boom—!!
The water balloon drew a beautiful arc and smashed accurately into the principal’s office window.
Splash!
Water sprayed everywhere. The moment the colorful balloon burst, a startled scream could faintly be heard from inside the office.
“Hit!”
The boys cheered in low voices.
“Keep going! Don’t stop!”
Yao Shangxing personally loaded the next round. A second water balloon flew out right after.
Then a third, fourth, fifth…
The principal’s office windows quickly turned into an abstract painting. Colorful water stains flowed down the glass. Occasionally, a water balloon slipped through the gaps and triggered even more intense screaming.
“Hahahaha!” Yao Shangxing laughed so hard he nearly fell over. “Today this school is going to change hands!”
His laughter came to an abrupt stop.
Because in the distance, from the direction of the teaching building, a team of people wearing bright orange fluorescent uniforms and holding long poles was rapidly approaching.
“Holy shit!” One of the delinquent boys turned pale. “What the hell is that?!”
Yao Shangxing narrowed his eyes. He could now clearly see their equipment. The orange uniforms were glaringly bright. Each person held a long bamboo pole with a circular steel noose bent from wire at the top, glinting coldly in the sunlight.
“Are those… dog-catching loops?”
He rubbed his eyes in disbelief.
They really were.
“This is way too insulting!”
At the front of the group, the Mediterranean homeroom teacher had a dark face and was holding a small megaphone. “Everyone pay attention! Target location confirmed! Move out!”
The orange-uniformed figures quickly spread out and approached in an encircling formation.
“Boss, what do we do?”
The delinquent boys panicked.
Yao Shangxing let out a cold laugh and said confidently, “Activate Plan B!”
“We actually have a Plan B?”
The delinquent boys looked at one another, completely lost.
“Cough cough cough…”
Yao Shangxing cleared his throat and shouted toward the rooftop.
“Air force in position! Prepare for the beheading operation!”
At his command, black shadows shot out from the school rooftop one after another. Groups of delinquent boys appeared in the sky above the school carrying simple homemade gliders.
“What the hell is going on here?!”
The Mediterranean middle-aged homeroom teacher had clearly broken down. He knew Yao Shangxing would cause trouble, but he had never expected the scale to be this large.
Cannons and gliders—how on earth did you even make these things?! And they actually work?! The quality even looks decent!!!
As the air force glided across the sky, Yao Shangxing shouted to the delinquent boys behind him, “Follow me!”
He then jumped with all his strength. His extraordinary physical ability allowed him to leap straight onto the second floor. He pushed off again and managed to grab the leg of a classmate who was flying relatively low, then soared away with him.
“Wait! We can’t jump that high!”
Several of the delinquent boys who had instigated Yao Shangxing’s mischief were caught one by one by the student council members. The moment the steel nooses clamped down on them, they all behaved themselves.
They knew things had spiraled completely out of control. At first they had only wanted to egg Yao Shangxing on to bombard the principal’s office so they could vent their anger. They never expected the teachers to react so quickly, and they definitely never expected Yao Shangxing to actually whip up an entire air force.
They were terrified. They had never imagined this guy’s execution ability would be this strong.
In midair, Yao Shangxing asked the classmate whose leg he was hanging from, “Where’s Li Chi? Did you guys find him?”
“Boss! We couldn’t find him!”
Because the wind was strong up there, the classmate had to shout at the top of his lungs.
“Damn it… Did the teacher kidnap him or something?”
Yao Shangxing, the leader of the chaos, couldn’t help but worry about his good brother’s safety.
Little did he know that Li Chi, who had been secretly crowned king, had already arrived at the principal’s office one step ahead on the Mediterranean middle-aged teacher’s suggestion.
The door to the principal’s office had been tightly barricaded by Li Chi with desks and chairs. The windows had also been sealed shut with the principal’s treasured paintings.
As for the principal himself, he was hiding inside a file cabinet under Li Chi’s protection.
Li Chi had removed all the shelves from the file cabinet so it could just barely fit a person.
The principal was currently covering his face and crying inside the cabinet.
“I should have sent him to the Magic Association yesterday!”
Meanwhile, Li Chi had placed the principal’s office chair in the center of the room. He sat there with his legs crossed, quietly waiting for Yao Shangxing’s arrival.
