“So… you know Father?”  

After finally explaining everything, Lin Guiming let out a sigh of relief, while He Wanying fell into a state of shock.  

“That’s right. I’m that old… I’m his disciple, so technically, you’re my junior sister.”  

“So that’s how it is…”  

He Wanying’s face lit up with sudden understanding.  

Just as Lin Guiming felt a tearful sense of relief, thinking he’d finally cleared things up, He Wanying spoke again.  

“But… being your junior sister doesn’t conflict with marrying you, does it?”  

“…”

I said I’d marry the winner of the tournament, and I can’t go back on my word.”  

He Wanying said earnestly.

Lin Guiming asked, confused.  

“There are still many things to take care of in the He family, and I have to fulfill Mother’s wishes…”

He Wanying pouted again.

Lin Guiming thought about it and realized she had a point.

Lin Guiming felt helpless. After all, this girl was his junior sister, so he couldn’t force her.  

“If Husband—er, Senior Brother—helps me settle the family matters and accompanies me to the capital to enroll in the Imperial Academy to fulfill Mother’s wishes, then I’ll go with you.”  

“This… fine.”  

Lin Guiming thought it over and agreed.  

He wasn’t just down the mountain to find his junior sister.

“What did you just call me?”
