“Sister, here, ah~”
“Ah~ mm.”
Inside the small cabin.
Lola Belle sat beside Aurora, once again appearing in her youthful girl form.
The old wooden table was covered with a hearty spread of food, and she picked up a small piece of potato, blew on it, then held it up to Aurora’s mouth.
“Mm-mm… “
“Is it tasty, Sister?”
After Aurora ate it, Lola Belle blinked her beautiful big eyes, looking at her expectantly.
“It’s delicious.”
“Hehe, that’s good.”
Only after receiving Aurora’s approval did the once slightly anxious look on her face finally break into a smile.
“By the way… when will little sister come back to pick me up?”
Ever since she’d agreed to Albert’s request, Lola Belle had left Aurora and her holy sword in the care of the Academy for the time being.
At the same time, Lola Belle had made a request to the Academy: Aurora must stay inside the space magic engraved on the holy sword, as this was the only way to ensure her safety.
But the problem was, inside, it was almost impossible to tell the passage of time. The alternation of sun and moon was completely controlled by Lola Belle’s consciousness within the space.
Whenever she wanted to sleep, she’d simply turn the sky to night, and when she woke, she’d switch it to day.
If she wanted to see rain or hear the wind, she could instantly change the weather accordingly. One could say she was starting to get a taste of the boredom of being a god in here.
“Soon. My consciousness and body are connected. Right now, it’s safe, and I’ve already reached the royal capital.”
“Mm, that’s good.”
The atmosphere suddenly grew a little heavy. Lola Belle put down her chopsticks and gently tugged at the corner of Aurora’s clothes, speaking pitifully: “Why does Sister have to go out into the world? Isn’t it enough to live happily with just me by your side?”
“Happy, of course I’m happy!”
Seeing her look so sad, Aurora immediately panicked a bit.
She hurriedly pulled Lola Belle into her arms and said anxiously, “Little sister, you make all these wonderful meals for me every day, and you even change the environment here just for me. I’m so happy I can’t even put it into words!”
“Then why does Sister have to go outside?”
Aurora paused for a moment, then said, “Because… I don’t want you to face this unfair world alone.”
“I’m the older sister, aren’t I? If someone has to bear the pain, I want it to be me, not you.”
“But Sister…” Lola Belle’s words suddenly stopped.
In her arms, Lola Belle’s figure suddenly grew, transforming into her mature form radiating holiness and dignity.
In her adult form, Lola Belle was the same height as Aurora. She slipped out of Aurora’s embrace, only to pull her right back into her own arms.
The soft sensation pressed against Aurora’s cheek, and a gentle, pleasant fragrance filled her nose.
Being hugged by Lola Belle wasn’t anything unusual; when she was little, she’d often snuggle up to sleep with Aurora. But being embraced by the adult Lola Belle like this was a first, and the sense of security radiating from her was almost unbelievable.
“But Sister, I’ve already grown up. I can bear all of this now.”
“Little sister…”
She lifted her head slightly, meeting Lola Belle’s soul-stirring eyes.
There was a hint of anger in the way she looked at her.
Her whole aura seemed to have changed—gone was the childish personality from before, replaced by a heroic, commanding presence that brooked no defiance.
Such a Lola Belle even made Aurora feel a little pressure.
“Sister, I’m not a child anymore. Can you treat me as an adult?”
“I’m now ten times, a hundred times stronger than you!”
“Can you please entrust everything to me?”
Every word she said seemed to be a plea, yet her piercing gaze as she looked down at Aurora made it impossible to refuse.
This made Aurora a little unhappy. She puffed out her cheeks in protest, “Come on, I’m the older sister here, okay!”
Lola Belle froze for a moment, then, realizing her sister was upset, she immediately reverted to her girlish form.
She hurriedly said, “I’m sorry, Sister! I shouldn’t have spoken to you in that tone, I just wanted you to rely on me a little more, I…”
The more she spoke, the more flustered she became, and soon tears began to fall.
Seeing how quickly Lola Belle could change, Aurora was momentarily at a loss for how to respond.
She felt like her little sister was almost two different people—one was the clingy girl from before, and the other, a grown-up with the dignity of a holy knight.
Perhaps thinking her sister wouldn’t forgive her, Lola Belle burrowed into Aurora’s arms and started crying even harder.
“Alright, alright, I’m not angry, I’m just… a little sleepy, that’s all.”
As the older sister, getting mad at her little sister over something like this was a bit childish, wasn’t it? Realizing this, Aurora quickly found an excuse to smooth things over.
“Really?”
She looked up, her big watery eyes brimming with tears.
Looking down, Aurora noticed her arms were already soaked.
She sighed and gently stroked her little sister’s hair, speaking softly, “Really, really, how could your sister ever be mad at you, right?”
“Then… give me a kiss.”
“…”
Seeing her act so cheeky, Aurora couldn’t help but laugh and cry at the same time.
But it was just a kiss, nothing she hadn’t done before.
Thinking this, Aurora leaned down, preparing to kiss Lola Belle on the cheek.
“Wait.”
“Hmm? What’s wrong?”
Just as she was about to lean in, she suddenly froze and looked at the girl in front of her in confusion.
She watched as the girl in her arms started to grow again, turning into her mature form.
“Alright… go ahead.”
“Pfft—hahaha!”
“Why do you have to turn into that just for a kiss? Hahaha!”
Lola Belle’s cheeks instantly turned red. She glanced aside and muttered softly, “Because… Sister said so.”
“Hmm? What did I say?”
“Sister said…”
She seemed a bit embarrassed and trailed off.
Taking a deep breath, as if steeling herself, she suddenly turned back to look at Aurora.
Staring into her serious eyes, Aurora was still completely lost. What on earth did she say??
Just as she was wondering, her cheeks were suddenly cupped by two hands as Lola Belle leaned down and pressed her soft lips to Aurora’s.
The moist sensation lingered on her lips for only a moment before Lola Belle pulled away.
“Because Sister said, here, is only for adults to kiss.”
“I’m already an adult now, Sister.”
She seemed to be hinting at something, her bashful eyes locked onto Aurora’s.
