Following Ye Xingyao’s gaze, Yi Shiyue finally took a good look at the Blood Elf loli watching Mite. Previously, her attention had been entirely focused on Ye Xingyao, and she knew practically nothing about this Blood Elf.
Fumier saw the two of them looking at her, and her eyes curved into two little crescents as she offered a peaceful smile.
Unfortunately, due to her previous struggle with the Defective Blood Fiends, her adorable face was now stained with blood and grime. The dirty look as she smiled gave off a distinct, pitiable charm.
“…You’re right. Let’s go to the Safehouse first to rest and reorganize.”
Seeing that Ye Xingyao had no intention of continuing the conversation with Mite, Yi Shiyue nodded.
Even though she still had much she wanted to say to him, they needed to clean themselves up now. She also wanted to learn more about this Miss Fumier.
“Do you two have any more questions? If not, I’m taking this guy to the Human Alliance.”
Hongye Qiu opened the car door. A pair of long legs stretched out from the driver’s seat, crossing into her signature pose as she poked her head out to look at the group.
“No, that’s all. Thanks for the hard work, Sister Hongye.”
Ye Xingyao smiled at her, offering a sweet, charming expression.
“You brat, since when did you learn how to care about people?”
Hongye Qiu’s eyes widened in shock as she stared at the girl who was like a younger sister to her.
Given Miss Ye Xin’s usual personality, she was always sweet-talker, but she was like an unrefined, clumsy little sister who never knew how to say caring things, even if just for the sake of appearances.
Because of that, their way of interacting had always been blunt and direct, rarely involving polite small talk or efforts to find conversation topics.
“…Then I won’t do it next time.”
Ye Xingyao’s smile stiffened for an instant, and he continued to respond in a high-pitched, feminine voice.
“I think we should keep this part of the routine.”
Hongye Qiu waved her hand. After all, even in this society where average beauty standards were extremely high, Ye Xin was still a top-tier beauty. Being cared for by such a girl—no matter how insincere it might be—was probably a form of enjoyment, right?
Then, Fumier ushered Mite into the car. Hongye Qiu glanced at her, closed the door, and after the roar of the engine, the car slowly drove away.
“Alright then. Let’s go to the Safehouse to rest, Miss Fumier?”
Ye Xingyao crossed his arms, his gaze falling on the Blood Elf loli.
“Sure.”
Fumier nodded obediently.
Ye Xingyao looked at her with some surprise. Ever since she found out about his identity as a Star Elf, she seemed to agree obediently to everything he said…
Combined with what he had overheard during her conversation with Mite—that she had come to Satellite City specifically to find a Star Elf—Ye Xingyao felt there was some strange motive behind it all.
“Let’s go, Xiao Yao. I’ll support you.”
Ye Xingyao had just taken a step as if nothing had happened when the sharp pain in his foot began to remind him—’Hey, did you forget your foot is injured?!’
He nearly stumbled, but fortunately, the quick-eyed Yi Shiyue grabbed him, preventing him from falling to the ground.
Then, Yi Shiyue draped his arm over her shoulders and wrapped her arm around his waist, supporting him as they moved slowly.
After they had walked a short distance, Fumier followed behind them, maintaining a distance that was neither too close nor too far—one that Yi Shiyue found quite satisfactory.
It made one wonder: did this Blood Elf loli truly have a heart as innocent as her appearance?
After walking downstairs, Ye Xingyao opened the door to the Safehouse. He broke free from Yi Shiyue’s support, hopped twice on one leg, and threw himself face-first onto his bed.
“Ugh—I’m finally back!”
In close contact with the bed, the girl rubbed her dirty face against the quilt, only to be given a light swat on the bottom by her childhood friend standing behind her.
“Go take a bath. Miss Fumier needs to use it afterward. Actually, get up.”
Yi Shiyue pressed down on the girl’s waist, trying to get her to move, but the other party acted like a stubborn child and didn’t budge.
‘Hmph, I couldn’t do anything to you when you were like this before, but now? Are you acting spoiled with me?’
Yi Shiyue reached her hands under the girl, suddenly lifting her up in a horizontal carry and moving slowly toward the bathroom.
“Wait, wait, wait! Xiaoyue, you—!”
Ye Xingyao truly hadn’t expected this. He had only intended to play a little joke and lie on the bed for a bit, but it had resulted in such a “vile” retaliation!
Ye Xingyao kicked her legs in mid-air and looked toward the other girl in the room, Fumier, as if for help. However, he found those blood-red eyes, which should have been cold and terrifying, watching him with a hint of a smile.
The Star Elf girl looked at the ground in despair, letting the Moon Elf girl carry her into the bathroom.
Fumier traced the scene in her mind, watching the two of them—well, the two Elves—with great interest.
Yi Shiyue placed Ye Xingyao on the bench outside the shower area and began taking off her own outer clothes.
“You don’t need my help with this, do you?”
She cast a sideways glance at the girl lying there like a pathetic salted fish.
“Uh, I probably do…”
Ye Xingyao stuck out his tongue. It wasn’t that he wanted the other person to help him undress, nor was his foot injury preventing him from doing so… It was just that this dress was far too complicated. It had taken all his effort just to put it on…
“Alright. Wait here for a bit, Xiao Yao. I’ll go find a change of clothes.”
Yi Shiyue opened the bathroom door, walked out, and rummaged through the wardrobe. She quickly found the clothes Xiao Yao kept there.
As she pulled them out, she noticed Fumier sitting on the bed with her hands on her lap, curiously observing the Safehouse.
‘Hmm… I should find one for her too. But it doesn’t look like there are any clothes here that would fit her…’
Yi Shiyue scanned the wardrobe again, thoughtfully searching the items inside while recalling Fumier’s size, feeling a bit troubled.
That was until her eyes landed on the clothes Ye Xingyao had left behind from when he lived as a “male.”
‘This is it!’
Yi Shiyue pulled out a white dress shirt and turned to confirm Fumier’s size once more, nodding to herself.
“Miss Fumier? Try this and see if it fits.”
Yi Shiyue placed the folded shirt next to the Blood Elf loli and patted it with satisfaction. Seeing the other party nod, she gathered the change of clothes for herself and Ye Xingyao and returned to the bathroom.
Seeing Yi Shiyue’s purple eyes, Ye Xingyao shrank his neck and swallowed hard.
‘Gulp. There’s nothing to be afraid of. I think…’
