Christina was knocked unconscious by Elliris. The cunning “witch” used skill level suppression and special alchemical potions to instantly subdue the powerful Knight Princess. She didn’t even get to shout the classic line “Galigamu!” before losing consciousness.
“Hiss… what did I make this Maze Incense for? I almost forgot…” Seeing how potent the effect was, Elliris quickly sealed the bottle of [Maze Incense] to avoid accidentally harming herself and Nino.
After a while, she remembered making it to prank Sophia, since she never got the upper hand against Sophia. Well, at least this spur-of-the-moment item came in handy. It wasn’t a waste. Making the best use of everything was naturally good.
“Lady Saint… have you completed the trial?…” Catherine, covered in wounds, walked over. Despite her injuries, she performed a knight’s salute out of respect for hierarchy, then spoke.
“Mn, the process was thrilling, but the outcome was good. I have received the goddess’s decree: to overthrow the Pope and restore this continent to its former state.”
Elliris spoke calmly, but her words were filled with a firm sense of responsibility.
Elliris immediately began healing Catherine and her companions. As she healed, she looked at the mess and couldn’t help but marvel at Christina’s destructive power.
“To have ravaged the already dilapidated Sela Temple to this state… I hope the goddess won’t inflict severe punishment, haha…”
The secret realm gate, which was considered an important relic, had been smashed to pieces by a single Excalibur strike from the Knight Princess. Rubble and bricks were everywhere, and the magic circuits were severely damaged, unable to be activated. Elliris’s mouth twitched continuously—she was clearly a bit angry.
Was this Knight Princess out of her mind? Even if the demolition crew from Blue Star came, they probably wouldn’t be as efficient as her.
Facing a Knight Princess who became so vicious upon encountering a witch, Elliris didn’t want to waste words. Quickly subduing her was indeed the best method, to avoid her harming others.
She must have been placed under some curse by Pope Dussell. A normal rational human, especially a knight, should not be this destructive.
“Catherine, you and your friends take the Knight Princess back. I’ll leave the magic for now. It won’t be good if she wakes up and goes berserk again. Let’s go. Maybe we’ll run into Uncle Marcus on the way.”
“Yes, Lady Saint.” Catherine did as told immediately. She signaled her companions, and together they carried the bound Christina back.
Sure enough, as they took the previous route back, they happened to encounter the troops led by Marcus.
“What’s this? Lady Saint, what happened to Chris?” Marcus asked with a puzzled expression. He had some guesses in mind, but he wanted someone to tell him the truth.
“The Knight Princess met us at Sela Temple. She smashed the temple to pieces, so I had to subdue her.” Elliris shook her head while holding her forehead.
“Is that so? You’ve worked hard, Lady Saint.” Marcus’s guesses were pretty much correct. While greeting Elliris, he also confirmed Christina’s situation.
“Lady Saint, your level seems to have surpassed mine. Congratulations on passing the trial.” Marcus said with bright, excited eyes, genuinely wishing Elliris success in the God’s Trial.
“Thank you, Uncle Marcus. To be honest, you have helped the God Race so much recently. You’ve been busy with many things, providing us with every convenience. We won’t forget the favor of the Parisio family.” Elliris clasped her hands together and replied with a sweet smile.
“Since things here are pretty much dealt with, let’s return to the Papal Resistance headquarters. I have a lot to say to Chris later…”
Marcus informed Elliris, Nino, and the others of the subsequent plan. He also wrote a short letter to inform Philip and the others of the mission’s completion. Then everyone unanimously returned to their base.
Elliris noticed Marcus’s grave expression. The easygoing cheerfulness from their earlier conversation had vanished. What could be troubling him? Naturally, everyone knew.
Two days later, at the Papal Resistance headquarters prison.
Christina, bound by heavy shackles on her hands and feet, remained in a standing position with her hands fixed left and right onto a cross-like torture device, and her feet locked in corresponding fetters, unable to move on her own.
While she was unconscious, Marcus had used an elven restraint-removal tool to clear the curse that the Pope had placed on her.
Her berserk state had ended, and her mind had recovered clarity.
She was well aware that she had been captured by the “witch.”
During this time, people would occasionally come to feed her or give her water, but she stubbornly refused.
“Are you kidding me! I will not accept charity from a witch! You witch clergy—His Holiness the Pope has said that you stragglers will be caught sooner or later!”
It seemed this Knight Princess still had plenty of energy. After two days without food or drink, her tone was still aggressive, scaring off the kindhearted priestess who brought her food.
“You’ve worked hard. Let me give it a try.” Elliris arrived at the staircase of the underground prison with a mischievous intent, speaking to the priestess holding the hot meal.
“Wow! Lady Saint! You don’t need to do such things. Let me continue questioning that knight later…” The priestess said flustered, obviously not expecting Elliris to actually come to the prison to see the Knight Princess.
“It’s fine. Sometimes you need to change your approach. That knight seems to respond to force, not kindness. We need to think of some methods.”
Elliris explained her intentions with an ambiguous smile to the priestess before her. She might be about to do something next…
Approaching Christina, she giggled and spoke in a playful tone: “Come now~ Let me once again admire the Knight Princess’s adorable face up close.”
Elliris struck her signature pose, clasping her hands together and lightly touching her chin, drawing the Knight Princess’s attention.
Back when Elliris was still in the game’s beta test, she really liked the character Christina. Unfortunately, the official version wasn’t open to the public at the time, so beta testers could only look at the model through the screen and sigh.
Today, having the chance to have close contact with her, she was quite looking forward to it.
In the official setting, the Knight Princess’s nature wasn’t bad. Perhaps it was due to the current timeline shift, but Elliris had confidence that she could make Christina her ally in the future.
“……Adorable… face…? What are you saying?” Little did she know, this opening line was very much to the Knight Princess’s liking. After regaining her senses, the lace-trimmed Knight Princess’s ears turned slightly red like an ordinary girl.
“You really do have a face like a doll, Knight Princess. You haven’t eaten or drunk for two days. I think you have no strength left to resist. I want to do something… in that area. What do you think?”
Elliris was definitely not coveting her body at this moment. But if she had to say, the Knight Princess had a curvy figure, and compared to her own short stature—a 1.5-meter tall mochi—there was no contest.
These two big buns? Should she try their feel? It could also serve as a precaution for her future self~
‘I’ve been touching them to my heart’s content…’
“Guh… kill me…” After Elliris stopped her actions for a while, Christina, with dark lines on her face and vacant eyes, spoke in a trembling, weak voice with tears glistening at the corners of her eyes.
