“Xiyan~~”
“Get lost, my head’s pounding, I don’t want to deal with you.” Shen Xiyan said.
“Don’t be mad, you’re a man.” Qin Sheng gently bit his ear and whispered:
“Xiyan, am I squashing you?”
“Can you just not talk to me?!”
Shen Xiyan instinctively licked his lips, his Adam’s apple bobbing.
Her cat-like weight couldn’t possibly squash him flat.
The only time she made him stumble was when she cheerfully jumped on his back, almost causing him to faceplant.
Luckily, she was delicate and gentle; even with her bump, Shen Xiyan could barely hold her up.
“I’ve only ever heard of girls being harassed, why are you the one feeling wronged?”
Qin Sheng happily snuggled against him, rubbing affectionately, wrapping her arms around him, her skin as white and smooth as jade.
“Besides, I don’t have bad breath, my mouth’s soft and sweet. Lots of people want a taste of my tongue!”
Shen Xiyan sneered, “Yeah… pig’s tongue goes well with wine.”
“Xiyan~~ you’re so mean for calling me a sow.” Qin Sheng clung to his neck and pouted coquettishly. “But I’ll be your little sow, only yours! Go ahead and dirty me!”
“Qin Sheng!!!”
“You were the one who called me pig’s tongue first…”
The two words “dead ghost” felt strangely lively.
“Okay, I was wrong, alright? Stop bothering me! Whoever wants to eat it can go ahead!”
“Really? Really?”
Qin Sheng buried her head in his neck, a strong sense of satisfaction and possession swelling in her chest, overflowing with happiness.
“I once read that in psychology, figuring out what you want is usually complicated. But knowing what you don’t want is much simpler.”
“If tomorrow I find another boyfriend…”
“Stop right there!”
“I haven’t even finished.” Qin Sheng smiled brightly.
“When no one’s around, I grab his hand, make him hold my waist. I tiptoe and lean against him, take off his T-shirt, wrap my arms around his neck, and kiss him madly, like an octopus clinging to him…”
“Stop!!”
The vivid images Qin Sheng described immediately stirred a chaotic turmoil in Shen Xiyan’s heart, and his eyes instantly panicked.
Then he calmed down, thinking hard about what to do and quickly analyzing the situation.
Why could others break up and never contact each other again, but he couldn’t?
He understood now.
Most people break up because there’s no love; naturally, they don’t care.
But he broke up because he couldn’t accept what Qin Sheng did with others — that was a fundamental difference.
“If you dare come over to kiss me out of nowhere again…”
Qin Sheng instinctively replied, her clear face instantly blooming with a sweet smile, “You’ll slap my face?”
“Good to know.”
“With what? Ham and eggs?”
Shen Xiyan: “…”
“Xiyan, you know what? You’re like a silly spore.”
Qin Sheng’s gentle fingers traced the sharp lines of his back muscles as she swallowed.
The more she chased him, the faster he ran.
If she ignored him, he’d grow curious and come over to see why, then she’d find an opportunity to knock him out with one blow.
But she just couldn’t help herself!!
Sure enough, hearing Qin Sheng say that, Shen Xiyan curiously asked, “What do you mean?”
“Nuh-uh, not telling you~~”
Qin Sheng rested her head on Shen Xiyan’s shoulder and playfully stuck out her pink tongue, looking cheeky.
Shen Xiyan wanted to pinch her little pink tongue and stop her from pulling it back, but he couldn’t.
Then Qin Sheng heard the sound of him swallowing.
She felt the warmth of his hand holding her thigh rise; his palm grew sweaty and sticky. The skin of her thigh touching his palm started to burn softly, tingling pleasantly.
To outsiders, it looked like Shen Xiyan’s hand had slipped under her skirt — and it had.
Qin Sheng’s thigh skin was unbelievably smooth.
Lin Ci was really something.
Her foot was injured but she still wore a long skirt, competing on stage with her.
If it weren’t for circumstances, she wouldn’t even want to wear underwear — she’d just lean against his back.
Qin Sheng closed her eyes, savoring the comfort; her eyelids felt warm with an orange glow.
Then her small hand slowly moved downward, and she felt Shen Xiyan’s chest muscles stiffen. She tickled him, and his muscles instantly tensed.
“What are you doing?!”
Shen Xiyan gritted his teeth, wanting to throw her off.
But Qin Sheng noticed him shivering and immediately smiled, mischievous again, teasing a few more times. “Does it feel good?”
“Can you behave for once?”
“I am behaving! But seeing you carry me so tiredly, I want to make you comfortable.”
“I’m not comfortable at all.”
“But you’re clearly bulging.”
Qin Sheng spoke like an experienced veteran: “I get it every time I think about you!”
Shen Xiyan looked down to see the little hand on his chest and gritted his teeth. “If you touch me again, you’re jumping by yourself, I mean it.”
“But…”
Shen Xiyan quickly cut her off: “Don’t drag Aunt into this. Don’t believe me? Try it!”
“Fine.” Qin Sheng looked a little wronged.
“But imagine this scene: I’m kneeling there, you’re lying in my arms, your head resting on my thigh. One of my hands reaches around your back, then you open your mouth and bite me, and my other hand reaches…”
“Qin Sheng!”
“Hahaha… got a mental picture, didn’t you? Doesn’t it feel good just thinking about it? We really are on the same wavelength.”
Qin Sheng was so happy she started humming a song.
She sang beautifully, an English song Shen Xiyan had never heard, sounding like a soft whisper.
As she sang, she stopped and gently pressed her little face against Shen Xiyan’s back.
“So tired… I really want to live a carefree life like this with you.”
Qin Sheng inhaled his scent, her expression quietly melancholy where he couldn’t see.
Her eyes gazed into the distance, ears listening to his breathing like the rhythm of music, beat after beat.
Suddenly, Shen Xiyan asked, “That Su Jin—are you close with her?”
Qin Sheng became cautious. “Why do you ask? I’m telling you, if you want to nap in an air-conditioned room at noon, I’ll book one outside the school for you. Don’t listen to Song Wan! Stay away from her!”
Shen Xiyan sneered: “You think I’m going to listen to you or her?”
“Xiyan~~”
“We’ll see each other often anyway. If you don’t tell me, I’ll have to ask her myself.”
Qin Sheng rolled her eyes. “She’s just a friend of Song Wan’s, since elementary school.”
“Which well-bred lady is she from?”
“Not really. Her family isn’t as… tragic as yours, but at best, just ordinary…”
“Then why does she seem more mature than Song Wan? I’d believe she was a college student.”
Qin Sheng frowned. “Her family isn’t local, and they favor boys over girls. Her allowance was basically two standards.”
“Later on, she wrote novels to make money. Probably dressed like that on purpose so she wouldn’t show her ‘fragile’ side?”
“Writes novels?”
“Mm-hmm.”
“What kind?”
“How would I know? I’m not interested!”
Shen Xiyan’s eyes lit up.
Writing books is easy to start but requires talent for prose and imaginative topics.
If he had someone in the circle to give advice, wouldn’t it be twice the result with half the effort?
“So? You want to hit on her?”
Qin Sheng grabbed his ear.
“She’s not as pretty as me, and making money writing novels isn’t as good as my fortune. Why don’t you cherish your ready-made rich girlfriend? I have many tricks… and if I don’t, I can learn…”
“Don’t! Touch! Me!”
Qin Sheng pouted but then asked, “By the way, did you turn in the Literature and Science Volunteer Form?”
“Did.”
“Liberal arts or science?”
“… Liberal arts.”
Idiot, your silence already told me.
Qin Sheng smirked: “What a coincidence, me too…”
Shen Xiyan tilted his head, catching her affectionate gaze.
A beautiful girl like her exuded an intoxicating charm with every move — the saying “Xishi’s beauty lies in her sorrowful expression, and even the ugly Dong Shi tried to imitate it” was exactly that.
An ordinary-looking woman, even if she tried to act seductive, would just end up like Dong Shi.
Luckily, Shen Xiyan had enough self-control not to get flustered by Qin Sheng’s deliberate allure… scratch that, he was stirred.
Since the college entrance exams had just ended, many stores on the street were having sales.
Qin Sheng bought a fancy but tasteless old yogurt in a glass bottle, eating half with a tiny spoon.
She didn’t like it and wanted to toss it to Shen Xiyan, but he refused, so she threw it in the trash.
Ding dong —
“Aunt messaged me.”
“So that bastard’s gone already?”
“Not exactly… Aunt asked me to buy her a pair of little wings. The hospital nearby didn’t have the kind she usually uses. They’re uncomfortable to wear…”
“You don’t have to be so detailed about it. You can just say ‘something.’”
Qin Sheng went “Oh,” and said, “Something little wings.”
Shen Xiyan: “…”
“Xiyan! Xiyan!”
Qin Sheng tugged his ear. “Let’s get some milk tea first. I’m thirsty.”
There was a Milk Tea Shop right by the road, and Shen Xiyan had no reason to refuse.
“Hello, I’d like a cup of Pearl Milk Tea, medium… large cup! I want it iced, hmm, 30% sugar!”
“Xiyan, what about you?”
“I don’t want any.”
“Yes, you do! Carrying me so far is exhausting. I feel bad.” Qin Sheng told the clerk, “Make another one the same, but full sugar for the other cup.”
Since Qin Sheng’s cup was made first, while waiting for Shen Xiyan’s, he looked at her through the glass’s reflection.
Qin Sheng cupped her drink, happily sipping through the straw, eyes curved in contentment.
After a moment, Shen Xiyan’s cup arrived. Qin Sheng threw her empty cup in the trash and shouted for another.
“You’re still drinking?”
“I’m thirsty!”
“This cup must be at least 500 ml, right?”
“So what if I’m thirsty?”
So Qin Sheng bought another cup.
When leaving, Shen Xiyan couldn’t hold the drinks himself, so Qin Sheng helped.
She held her own cup with her left hand, propping it against Shen Xiyan’s back, which was a bit cool.
Her right hand, stronger, brought the milk tea to his lips.
“You bought it, so don’t waste it by throwing it away. You have to drink it fast, it’s tiring holding it up.”
“Then bring it closer. What do you take me for? A turtle?”
Qin Sheng laughed. “No way! Then your head would become a tur….”
“Stop!”
“Nope! Turtle head! Turtle head!”
Shen Xiyan took a big sip of the milk tea, his blood sugar rising as he tried to calm his blood pressure.
“Xiyan, sweet?”
“Okay.”
Then he noticed something off.
He usually sipped carefully, an expert at this, but this straw looked like it had been chewed by a dog.
“Qin Sheng…” Shen Xiyan’s voice trembled.
“I didn’t lie to you, did I? The liquid flowing from my body is all sweet~~”
