Rosily’s thrust made everyone present hold their breath.
The silver sword energy pierced through the magical puppet’s body, leaking out from various points.
The massive steel giant beneath the girl’s feet seemed to have lost all movement, only able to stand thanks to the vine cage that restrained it.
After confirming that the puppet was indeed broken, Rosily stopped releasing the sword energy.
Converting magic power into sword energy consumed a lot, especially with Rosily’s reckless usage.
In less than three seconds, she had depleted all the magic power she had accumulated over these days of training.
The only reason she could maintain it was by drawing magic power from the outside world, but that came with significant limitations.
She needed to expend even more soul energy to supply half the original magic power.
In a real battle, it could only serve as a magic-saving passive buff.
Rosily withdrew her longsword and raised it high.
The sunlight fell upon the girl’s graceful figure, making her shine brilliantly in that moment.
The blade was riddled with notches, having suffered the most wear and tear during this battle.
Meanwhile, in the distance, Aier Qi breathed a sigh of relief.
She glanced down at the magic staff in her hand, feeling that her magic was still too single-minded.
Aside from control, her offensive abilities were too scarce and weak.
“I want to become a Great Elementalist…”
This was Aier Qi’s new goal.
Compared to going to Talronde, it was a more distant aspiration.
Rosily stood on the puppet’s shoulder, one foot planted atop the steel giant’s helmet.
Proudly, she lifted her chin and looked down at the timid onlookers.
But there was no mockery in her eyes.
Only a weariness that came after play.
Sigh~ too easy, sigh~ boring, sigh~.
When her clear orange-red eyes swept the area, everyone averted their gaze, refusing to look up at the girl’s radiance.
The sly smirks they once held deep inside were gone from their faces.
Some people are destined for great success.
Such people are called geniuses.
Because they are geniuses, they don’t fit in.
But when someone shines so brightly that ordinary people don’t even dare to harbor jealousy, they are no longer called a genius—they are called the Sun!
No one envies the sun’s light because it’s too distant.
And if you get too close, its radiance will burn you to ashes.
Before such brilliance, how could fireflies dare to feel jealousy?
Unnoticed by anyone, five strands of dark purple silk quietly descended.
The faint gold-haired girl holding the longsword, who stood atop the puppet, felt the magical puppet twitch when the dark purple threads touched it.
Rosily was stunned for a second.
Recovering quickly, she withdrew the raised longsword and attempted to thrust it again into one of the notches on the blade.
But just as the sword tip was less than five centimeters from the notch, a surge of violent magic power blasted Rosily away.
“Eh? What’s going on?”
An old knight in the spectator seats sensed something wrong.
By all accounts, the puppet should have been immobile, so why did it suddenly unleash such a powerful surge?
He turned his head toward the young man beside him.
Being older, his ability to learn new things wasn’t as good as the youth’s, but the young man also looked bewildered.
“This can’t be right. It’s not in the manual…”
The sudden change on the field caught everyone off guard.
Aier Qi saw Rosily get blown away and was about to shout her name when the wild wind swept in front of her.
She could only raise her arm to shield herself and crouch low.
But the wind still lifted her off the ground, sending her falling backward.
Only when the gust ceased did Aier Qi awkwardly sit up and witness a scene that nearly stopped her heart.
A fierce red light glowed from inside the helmet of the heavily armored puppet.
It charged toward her, engulfed in dust, wielding a massive sword.
Its posture resembled a cavalry charge, giving Aier Qi a feeling of unstoppable force.
She tried to grab her staff, but her body seemed to betray her.
After landing, Rosily saw the frenzied puppet rushing at Aier Qi, who seemed stunned and frozen in place.
A flash of impatience rose in Rosily’s heart, and she shouted loudly toward Aier Qi.
“Aier Qi, get up quickly!”
Rosily’s voice snapped Aier Qi out of her daze.
She picked up her magic staff from the ground, cast a layer of Wind’s Blessing on herself, and sprinted toward the edge of the arena.
Her dash startled the spectators, who quickly scrambled away, afraid of being cut in half by the puppet’s giant sword.
They had seen firsthand during the last practical class what happened to those who underestimated the puppet.
Many hadn’t even returned to school since then!
Some had the courage to run, while others were already too scared to move.
One skinny guy stood frozen, his legs shaking uncontrollably, screaming desperately.
“It’s coming! It’s coming! Somebody save me, somebody save me!”
Of course, no one came to his rescue.
Everyone cared about their own lives; who would risk it for him?
Seeing this, Aier Qi’s heart skipped a beat.
She turned to another direction and continued her frantic tactical retreat.
The puppet swung its giant sword down, leaving a deep scar in the ground just ten centimeters away from the skinny guy’s feet.
But after pulling out the longsword, the puppet ignored him and turned to face Rosily instead.
This time, the sword strike was even faster than Rosily’s reaction.
She couldn’t dodge and had no choice but to raise her sword and block the attack.
Sparks flew where the blades clashed.
Luckily, she used the magic shield she had learned from the puppet earlier.
Though pushed back five meters, she sustained little impact damage.
Rosily glanced down at the longsword and her tingling hands, then looked back at the puppet.
The playful smile on her face was gone, replaced by a firm, serious expression.
She took up her stance, ready to face the puppet entering its second phase.
“Though I don’t know why you can still move, I’m actually glad you’re still active. Let’s continue!”
But the puppet ignored Rosily and charged straight at Aier Qi, who had stopped to catch her breath nearby.
Previously, its targeting was fixed on Rosily since it attacked the closest target.
Now, the strange silk threads seemed to have granted the puppet some intelligence, letting it decide to deal with the annoying Elementalist first.
Seeing it rush toward Aier Qi again, Rosily couldn’t help but feel angry.
