Despite all the torture, claiming it was all lies, Laika
sent half-hearted condolences to the thug and scanned the surroundings.
Iris was nowhere to be seen.
With sharp eyes, Laika meticulously scanned the ground, relieved to find no one had fallen.
Fortunately, it seemed the villain hadn’t chosen her as a sacrificial lamb.
Noticing the shutter of the convenience store was down, Laika figured Iris must be safely taking shelter inside.
If that was the case, it was time to sit back and watch the fight between those two.
Laika perched on a streetlamp, legs dangling, observing the villain and the hero.
Unless Laika saw the transformation, there was no way to discern the true identity of a powered individual in their suit.
Because of this, Laika didn’t realize that the hero in white was Iris.
Meanwhile, Iris was racking her brain for ways to take down the villain.
She had resolved to do her best, but since her opponent was human, she wanted to avoid killing if possible.
“Phew, I can’t get too close to that guy. At close range, I’m at an overwhelming disadvantage.”
The best defense is a good offense.
First, she doused herself in buff skills as if spraying deodorant.
Then, grabbing the tail of a horse statue, she lifted one leg.
Thankfully, she had put on the shorts she brought in a public restroom; otherwise, she might have ended up flaunting her “victory underwear” to that bandit-like villain.
Ready, fire!
Iris thrust her hips forward and shot webbing at the villain.
Thanks to her buff skills, the webbing came out much thicker than usual.
Caught off guard by the sudden barrage of webbing, the villain flailed his arms in panic.
“Argh, what the hell?!”
“Die, you filthy jerk!”
Leaping out from behind the statue, Iris now thrust her hips backward, firing more webbing at the villain.
After a few flashy shakes of her hips, the villain’s massive frame was completely enveloped in webbing.
“This skill is pretty great. Feels a bit like I’m Captain Fartypants, though… A crown wearer… Yeah, I’m the one who wears the crown.”
Losing focus would spell disaster.
The villain’s eyes widened in shock as he was covered in webbing, but Iris gritted her teeth and kept pouring it on.
She pulled out her sprayer for a debuff skill, but just as a black mist sprayed out, the villain’s gaze—looking as if he’d seen something horrific—darted to the sprayer emerging from between Iris’s legs.
His eyes flicked between her crotch and the sprayer rapidly shooting black mist.
Feeling a surge of indignation, Iris’s face flushed bright red.
“Hey, you idiot! Stop gawking! You’re getting hit with a debuff skill!”
Would the momentum swing fully in Iris’s favor?
Not quite—the villain wasn’t just standing there dumbly.
Regaining his composure, he spewed fire from his mouth, melting the webbing.
With brute strength, he tore through the weakened strands and pounded his chest like a gorilla.
“Raaargh! Who the hell are you?!”
“Tch… I can use that too!”
A learned skill becomes yours only when you use it before forgetting it.
Though nervous about using a skill for the first time—specifically, how gruesome it might be—Iris pushed past her limits.
“Come on out!”
Spreading her legs wide, she shouted inwardly.
“Fire!”—partly out of fear that her skirt might catch flame.
The chain twitched and transformed into something resembling a flamethrower.
Iris couldn’t help but smile with satisfaction.
Having grown accustomed to her chastity belt morphing into all sorts of bizarre forms, a flamethrower was manageable.
It resembled the chain flute of her skill, but since it wasn’t shooting fur chains, it felt even better.
In fact, it almost looked… pretty.
“It’s long and sleek… This one’s not bad.”
But from the villain’s perspective, it was anything but.
“What the hell?! What’s *that*?!”
“Shut up? Wanna taste something *shut-up-worthy*?!”
Insulting her chastity belt was as good as insulting Iris herself.
Since all her skills emerged from between her legs, she and the chastity belt were practically one.
Sure, she cursed it out all the time, but she couldn’t stand others doing the same.
With one hand on her hip, Iris confidently thrust her pelvis forward.
The chain flamethrower began spewing menacing flames from its opening.
“What the—fire from between your legs?! Ugh, you’re a fire-user too?!”
The villain stumbled back, rummaging through his bag.
When Iris had first shot webbing, he thought he was seeing things.
Then, the strange stick emerging from her crotch sprayed black mist, draining his strength.
And now, a solid rod was shooting fire.
In all his years, he’d never seen such a bizarre powered individual.
But he couldn’t just run away.
He pulled out what he’d been searching for and aimed it at Iris—a pistol, the must-have item for every citizen of Gyodam City.
Iris’s eyes widened in shock when she saw it.
She hadn’t imagined the villain would resort to a gun instead of a skill.
Bang!
The gunshot rang through her eardrums before she could react.
As death loomed, time seemed to stretch into eternity.
Was this it?
But then, a massive claw appeared in her vision, swaying.
A sharp tick reached her hypersensitive ears.
The villain, who had been smirking triumphantly, gaped as Iris blinked, unharmed.
“What?! You… blocked the bullet? With *that*?!”
“I… I’m alive.”
Iris glanced down, spotting the bullet rolling on the ground.
The claw, which she hadn’t even thought to summon, had deflected it.
She hadn’t anticipated the villain pulling a gun.
Since all his skills besides fire were close-range, she’d thought the fight was already won.
Her carelessness had nearly cost her.
Even with her rainbow-colored buffs, she hadn’t expected the chastity belt to react so quickly.
Without it, she would’ve been…
Sweat dripped down her temple.
The very chastity belt she’d once called hideous had saved her life.
While Iris’s expression brightened, the villain’s face turned pale.
This hero wielded a variety of bizarre skills, matched his fire abilities, and even blocked a bullet.
She was beyond his league.
Attempting a wrestling move might make this place his grave.
Overwhelmed by fear, the villain stumbled back and then bolted.
“Tch! I’ll get you next time!”
“Hey! You can’t just leave!”
Determined to knock him out, Iris gave chase.
Letting him escape would only lead to more trouble for Gyodam City’s citizens.
Emboldened by her chastity belt’s surprising prowess, her mind raced.
A whip was perfect for a fleeing target.
Shielded by a round barrier, Iris shook her hips flamboyantly, pursuing him.
Sharp fur chains surged toward the villain’s plump back.
Thwack! Thwack!
“Argh! Ow! Stop, I said stop!”
“You think I’m a pushover? Pull that gun again, you bastard!”
Having nearly died to his gunshot, her words came out harsh.
Letting him off would be foolish.
Iris relentlessly pursued, vigorously shaking her hips.
The villain’s back became a pincushion under the barrage of fur chains.
It was a slightly gruesome sight, but he deserved it for nearly taking her life.
The villain wasn’t exactly a track star, and without evasion skills, he couldn’t outrun Iris, who had her own abilities.
He soon stumbled and collapsed with a thud, trembling as he raised his hands.
“Spare me, spare me! I’m gonna die… ugh…”
No one begging for their life ever actually dies.
Iris pressed her attack, and his trembling eyes finally closed.
Without letting her guard down, Iris activated her back-smack skill and checked his status.
“Completely unconscious,” “comatose,” and “critical condition” appeared in his status window.
A complete victory for Iris.
“Phew, got him. Should’ve surrendered when I gave you the chance.”
She’d learned that carelessness could cost her life.
Using her whip, Iris dragged the villain’s body and placed it under the statue.
With the added whip skill’s functionality, enhanced by her buffs, she could move heavy objects like a person—not bad at all.
She shook her hips again, binding the villain to the statue with webbing.
Tapping his shoulder, she confirmed he was fully unconscious as his head lolled limply.
“Idiot. Pick your fights better next time. Enjoy some jail time.”
Brushing her hands with a clap, she flicked her nose like Bruce Lee.
The police would arrive soon after the report.
In a city like Goydam, where the prison was filled with petty criminals and only a few real villains, a proper villain was finally about to be locked up.
“Nice. This should easily net me 2,000 fame points.”
What could she buy with 2,000?
Smiling as she thought of the secret marketplace’s items, a chill ran down her spine.
