Eileen chewed on the food in her mouth and turned her head to look at Liliane.
It was already a new day, and the two of them were sitting together again, eating breakfast in the small dining hall.
Eileen’s gaze shifted to Liliane’s lips.
Her small mouth parted slightly, then she took a tiny bite of her bread.
Her cheeks puffed out a little as she chewed.
Even as a girl herself, Eileen couldn’t help but admit that Liliane’s mouth was very cute.
Noticing Eileen’s gaze, Liliane gave her a puzzled look.
But Eileen was still lost in her own thoughts.
What does it feel like to kiss Her Highness the Princess?
She had wanted to ask before, but then got busy with shopping and other things and forgot.
Liliane’s private treatment session with Her Highness yesterday had once again piqued Eileen’s curiosity.
Could Liliane have secretly met with the princess?
Even if it wasn’t as exaggerated as she had imagined yesterday.
Those two definitely still…
After all, the princess’s name was Lia.
So, she was still really curious.
What does a kiss feel like?
No, no.
Eileen, what are you thinking about!
Believe in Liliane; she surely wouldn’t betray the Young Lady.
Eileen shook her head.
It was all because of Sister Bella and the other maids—always reading those kinds of novels, telling her those stories, and influencing her.
“What’s wrong?” Liliane asked, watching Eileen’s head bob as she acted strangely.
To be honest, Liliane was already used to Eileen’s way of doing things.
Often she would be lost in wild thoughts alone, then let out a silly laugh.
When Liliane asked, Eileen actually became a little embarrassed.
She swallowed the bread in her mouth forcefully, leaned forward, and whispered into Liliane’s ear, in a voice only they could hear, full of mystery:
“Um, Liliane.”
“Hmm?”
“What do Her Highness the Princess’s lips feel like?” Eileen’s eyes sparkled with curiosity about the unknown.
Liliane was sipping her soup and almost choked.
She put down her bowl, cleared her throat lightly, looked at Eileen, and after a moment, understood what she was asking.
She meant that banquet incident.
“It didn’t feel like anything,” Liliane said with a hint of helplessness. “Just soft, and I just touched them. Why are you asking?”
“Eh—” Eileen let out a disappointed sound. “Just like that? Shouldn’t it feel like your brain explodes or something and you don’t know anything afterward?”
Liliane thought back.
She had been shocked by Ophelia’s behavior at the time, and for a moment her mind went blank.
But a simple kiss wouldn’t cause that kind of feeling, right?
Liliane sighed and rubbed her forehead.
“Where did you hear those things…?”
“From books…” Eileen replied somewhat guiltily.
Definitely not any proper books.
Liliane made her judgment.
“Try reading less of that stuff. It’s all lies.”
Maybe people in love experience those feelings during a kiss?
But Liliane hadn’t been in love in nearly forty years of her life.
If you never experienced it, you just wouldn’t feel it.
All that talk of electricity, blankness, and pleasure was false.
Liliane always scoffed at such descriptions. Soft knees after a kiss? That only happens in novels.
This is reality. How could that possibly be true?
“But…” Eileen wanted to argue, but seeing the ‘you’re an idiot’ look on Liliane’s face, she could only whimper “oh” and lower her head to poke at the food on her plate.
Seeing Eileen’s reaction, Liliane found it amusing. “What, you’re really curious?”
Eileen nodded.
Liliane reached out and pinched Eileen’s small cheek—it was soft and quite pleasant.
One hand wasn’t enough, so Liliane used both hands, kneading Eileen’s face like dough.
“If you’re curious, then find yourself an Object of Affection and talk to them. Then you’ll know what a kiss really feels like.”
“Mm-hmm.”
With her cheeks being squeezed, Eileen could only nod unclearly in response.
An Object of Affection—like her two mothers.
It should be a relationship where you could have children together, right?
Hmm—
Eileen thought for a moment but couldn’t come up with a suitable candidate right away.
Liliane could be one.
But Liliane was already being shared by the Young Lady and the princess.
She was just a maid. Surely she wasn’t attractive to Liliane…
After pinching for a while and feeling satisfied, Liliane let go of Eileen’s cheeks.
Eileen rubbed her face and looked at Liliane with a hint of grievance.
Liliane stretched.
“Finished eating? Then let’s hurry up and go; time’s about right.”
Liliane urged Eileen on.
Eileen stood up, stuffing the last bit of bread into her mouth, and nodded.
“Right.”
The two walked side by side toward Elenora’s bedroom.
On the way, Eileen kept glancing at Liliane, hesitating to speak.
“What now…”
Liliane said helplessly.
“J-just, I’m still curious about what you and Her Highness did yesterday…” Eileen stammered. “Did you, um, I mean… that…”
Eileen’s fists were clenched together, her thumbs tapping and separating repeatedly.
“Kiss…”
This was endless.
To be honest, with her mind constantly stuck on this, the girl was hopeless.
Liliane was about to laugh in frustration.
“You’re overthinking it. It was just a simple treatment, nothing happened. I just let Lia sleep for a bit.”
Sleep, sleep?
Liliane’s previous biology lesson hadn’t worked on Eileen at all.
To Eileen, sleeping clearly meant preparing to have babies.
Liliane was getting ready to have babies with Her Highness the Princess.
This idea completely filled Eileen’s mind.
Like a puppet, she followed Liliane into Elenora’s bedroom.
Mechanically preparing the clothes.
Mechanically getting Elenora dressed.
“Good morning, Eileen,” Elenora greeted drowsily.
“G-Good morning, Young Lady.”
Eileen looked at the still sleepy Young Lady, her heart burning like ants on a hot pan.
W-what to do!
The Young Lady surely didn’t know what Liliane and the princess had done!
Should she tell the Young Lady that Liliane was secretly having babies with Her Highness?
But Liliane was her good friend…
Eileen was torn inside.
In the end, her sense of justice won over her feelings for Liliane.
She had seen through it all—the idea that both the Young Lady and the princess liked Liliane was a lie.
It was obvious Liliane was a scoundrel, two-timing, playing with the feelings of the Young Lady and the princess!
She had to tell.
She had to inform the Young Lady!
The Young Lady being kept in the dark was just too pitiful!
Liliane went to draw the curtains and shouldn’t be able to hear anything from here.
So Eileen leaned close to Elenora’s ear and whispered in an extremely, extremely low voice.
“Young Lady, something’s wrong. Liliane said she went to sleep with Her Highness the Princess yesterday…”
“They’re going to have a little baby soon…”
Elenora’s previously sleepy eyes suddenly widened, filled with disbelief.
“What!”
