The blood pool at the bottom of Hundred Flower Valley had long since dried up, turning into dark red fertile soil.
White Peace raised her hand and waved, and the entire valley floor was infused with new life.
Countless flower buds pushed up from the dirt, quickly blooming into a continuous sea of flowers.
Layers upon layers of colorful blossoms transformed the bloody battlefield into a fairyland.
The night breeze brushed by, and the fragrance of flowers grew rich, leaving only a gentle sweetness.
“Let’s stay here for the night.”
White Peace stepped barefoot on the petals, her voice very soft.
“The valley bottom is safest. We’ll leave first thing tomorrow morning.”
Little Frost held the rusty bicycle, her gaze darting back and forth between White Peace and White Night.
Finally, her eyes landed on White Night’s glowing soul body’s face, and she let out a soft “mm.”
Mu Yingying slung her blade over her shoulder and chuckled.
“Alright, the new beauty auntie calls the shots. Frost, what do you think?”
Little Frost ignored her, reaching out to touch the bicycle’s crossbar.
“Little White Night, auntie will stay with you tonight.”
White Night’s soul body floated above the bicycle, her face slightly flushed.
“Mm… all together.”
The flower sea was specially crafted by White Peace, lying on it soft and comfortable.
Gu Jiao was exhausted, leaning against the beehive and already snoring.
Bees circled above her head like a small ring of guards.
The night deepened.
White Peace naturally moved closer.
She now had a real physical body, able to touch White Night’s soul form.
She opened her arms and pulled White Night’s soul body into her embrace.
“Goodnight, Little White Night.”
She rested her chin in White Night’s shoulder hollow, her voice carrying a satisfied nasal tone.
“Finally, I can hold you like this. Five thousand eight hundred years, I’ve waited too long for this day…”
White Night’s soul body stiffened for a moment, then softly leaned in, her voice tender.
“An’an… goodnight.”
The rusty bicycle stood alone to the side.
Little Frost stared at the bicycle, her gaze gloomy.
In the end, she walked over, wrapped her arms around the bike frame, and pressed her cheek against the cold seat.
That was White Night’s belly.
Mu Yingying could only stealthily touch the rear seat, letting out a sigh.
“Ah, I wish I could touch the real Little White Night too…”
Little Frost didn’t speak, just buried her face deeper.
The familiar metallic cold came from the seat, but her heart felt sour.
She was the one who found White Night first, the one who oiled, bathed, and dried her.
Now she had to share, even giving up her sleeping spot.
Late at night, the Red Moon hid away, leaving only soft flower light at the valley bottom.
Little Frost’s body suddenly trembled slightly.
Under her closed eyelids, her eyeballs moved rapidly.
After a moment, a transparent shadow slowly emerged from between her brows.
It was a woman who looked exactly like her, but with an added coldness and greed in her eyes and brows.
The shadow hovered in midair, scanning the sleeping crowd.
She raised her hand and waved, sending out a ring of invisible ripples.
White Peace, White Night, Mu Yingying, and Gu Jiao, along with the bees, all fell into a deeper sleep, their breaths even and long.
The shadow floated to White Peace’s side, her slender fingers hooking in the air.
White Peace’s body was pushed aside like by an invisible force, rolling softly to the side, still sleeping soundly.
Only then did the shadow turn, her gaze landing on White Night’s soul body.
Her eyes were complex, the previous hatred seemingly gone.
“White Night, so you weren’t lying to me, you really don’t remember…”
Her eyes surged with a nearly sick longing.
“I’ll make you remember our intimate times…”
She leaned down, her movements gentle yet unable to suppress an urgent haste.
Then, she threw herself forward, her mouth covering White Night’s slightly parted soul lips.
It wasn’t a light touch.
It was a deep, forceful kiss, filled with obsession and greed.
White Night’s soul body trembled lightly in sleep but didn’t wake.
The shadow kissed as if in a trance, as if trying to devour the other’s soul entirely.
The flower sea was silent, petals trembling softly around them.
No one knew how long it lasted before the shadow reluctantly lifted her head.
She extended her tongue, licking the corner of her mouth, a satisfied and greedy smile spreading across her face.
Then, she turned into a wisp of smoke and dove back into Little Frost’s brow.
The valley bottom returned to stillness.
Only the fragrance of flowers remained, sickly sweet.
The next morning.
The first rays of sunlight spilled into the valley, and White Night’s soul body woke first.
She floated up in a daze, instinctively wanting to stretch, but found her mouth swollen and numb.
She raised her hand and touched it.
Her soul body’s small mouth was actually swollen like two little sausages.
“???”
White Night froze, her soul face turning red instantly.
“Wh… what happened to me? I slept so well last night… Could it be a pollen allergy?”
She floated to the bicycle, checking her reflection against the shiny handlebars.
Her lips were noticeably red and swollen, carrying a moist sheen like they’d been ed.
Just then, Little Frost also woke up.
She rubbed her eyes and sat up, her first sight being White Night’s swollen mouth, instantly snapping her awake.
“White Night?!”
Her voice was distorted with alarm.
“Your lips… how are they so swollen?!”
Mu Yingying was startled awake too, scrambling up.
“What? Who kissed our little Yeye swollen?!”
White Peace was the last to wake.
She rubbed her eyes, saw White Night’s lips, and paused for a moment, then her expression turned dangerous.
“Who did this?”
The four gazes fell squarely on White Peace.
Little Frost couldn’t hold back first.
She’d been stewing all night over sleeping with the bike, and now her tone was harsh as if interrogating a criminal.
“White Peace! You were the one holding White Night while sleeping last night! Now her lips are swollen like this, and you dare not admit it?!”
White Peace looked utterly bewildered.
“I… I didn’t. I slept so deeply, I didn’t feel anything.”
She said this, but even she felt something was off, frowning.
“Strange… I did sleep way too soundly last night…”
Little Frost was seething.
“Stop pretending! Who else can touch White Night’s soul body besides you?! You dare not own up—“
Before she could finish, Mu Yingying suddenly reached out and discreetly elbowed her.
“Frost, don’t rush.”
Mu Yingying’s voice was very low, but with a strange tone.
“First, look at your own mouth.”
Little Frost froze, instinctively raising her hand to touch her lips.
What she felt was a soft, swollen sensation.
She quickly lowered her head and saw her own face reflected in the bicycle’s shine.
Her lips were just as swollen, red and glossy, as if kissed all night long.
“…?!”
The entire flower sea fell silent for three seconds.
White Peace’s attention was also drawn.
She narrowed her eyes, staring at Little Frost’s swollen lips, a flicker of confusion in her pure black pupils, which then turned strange.
White Night, Mu Yingying, Gu Jiao… everyone’s gaze landed on Little Frost’s face.
Little Frost stood frozen, her hand still on her lips.
Her mind went blank.
“How… could it be me? But I really don’t remember anything…”
“I slept hugging the bike last night… I couldn’t have done this…”
Her voice grew quieter, until it was barely a whisper.
Mu Yingying stifled a laugh, her shoulders shaking.
“Frost… and you dare to blame others? Your own mouth is swollen like that, and you’re still accusing An’an? Tsk tsk, the biggest suspect now is you.”
White Peace also couldn’t help but scold with a dark face.
“Did you dream of something last night?”
Little Frost’s face turned beet red to her ears. She covered her mouth, her eyes panicked and embarrassed.
“I… I don’t know… I really don’t remember…”
White Night floated in midair, her soul face also red.
She looked at her own swollen lips, then at Little Frost’s equally swollen ones, finding the whole scene absurd yet amusing.
But there was a strange sweetness to it.
“It’s okay, Auntie Frost. I feel it’s nothing serious, I’m sure it’ll recover on its own.”
White Night comforted Little Frost instead.
She had already vaguely guessed that this was likely the work of Frost Auntie’s out-of-body soul.
Still, this was much better than when she was choking her before.
At least this time, it wasn’t trying to kill her, just kissing a bit too hard…
In the flower sea, bees buzzed past as if snickering.
The morning light at the valley bottom gently fell, illuminating White Night’s flushed face.
That night in Hundred Flower Valley ended on a note of jealousy, misunderstanding, and an indescribable ambiguity.
And the mysterious being hidden inside Little Frost’s body remained quietly asleep, as if last night had nothing to do with it.
