“All right, you can come out now.”

A small head immediately popped out from below, shaking left and right. “Finally, they’re gone. I was about to suffocate down there.”

Lin Huanhuan crossed her arms over her chest, face full of annoyance. “What do you have to be unhappy about? You kept messing with me down there, I almost kicked you twice, and you still have the nerve to complain!”

Lin Huanhuan’s brows knitted slightly, noticing something off. “If you don’t have many friends, go make some. Why tell me? It’s not like I can magically conjure up friends for you.”

Ye Jinxiu grinned, and Lin Huanhuan felt there was something scheming behind that smile. She wanted nothing more than to punch Ye Jinxiu twice.

“So what do you mean?”

Lin Huanhuan countered, and Ye Jinxiu smiled, “About choosing someone to help me with meridian cleansing, can I ask you to help? After all, in the sect and among my friends, you’re the most suitable.”

Lin Huanhuan’s hand clenched the corner of the table, suddenly exerting force, and actually snapped off a small piece. She paid it no mind at all, her gaze locked on Ye Jinxiu’s enchanting face, searching for any hint of a joke.

Lin Huanhuan felt like she was about to be driven mad by Ye Jinxiu, but Ye Jinxiu spread her hands nonchalantly. “Didn’t we clear up the misunderstanding afterward? So there’s nothing to worry about.”
