She was also a woman of action. On the other side, Annabell, having sent her sister away, wasn’t about to just give up.
The daily bullying placed on Xue Lei. Besides eliminating the upcoming festival, she needed to sever the tormentors at the root.
As a villainess young lady with principles, the first step was naturally to help her sister clean up these low-tier trash who didn’t know their place.
Since her sister resented the entire family for kicking her while she was down, then—or rather, to pull the flag and survive, she now found these minor villains in the family even more repulsive than the protagonist.
Might as well start with them. A bunch of NPCs were getting too big for their britches.
Annabell examined her nails and let out a cold laugh.
Today, every young member of the family who had reached nineteen years old was summoned together.
With the authority of the chief heir, the young lady declared a full assembly—even those still in the bathroom had to drag themselves over and stand at attention.
The training ground had a defensive barrier, making it the perfect place to relieve stress. The massive barrier could resist bombardment from seventh-circle magic.
At this moment, Annabell wore a mage robe, her long legs wrapped in shiny black stockings. One look was enough to conclude—getting stepped on by her must feel amazing!
Those eyes of truth, usually kept shut, were now coldly sweeping over the so-called family dregs below.
“Let me check on the recent magical progress of you useless trash.” She yawned, casually making things up. “I called you all here today for one thing only.”
Annabell was actually within her rights—the family codex did grant the chief heir the privilege of overseeing the younger generation’s training.
But Annabell had always been busy going out to court death or beating up Xue Lei, and had never bothered with this duty. Today’s sudden whim could only mean trouble!
“I don’t have time. Will you choose to be beaten down by me, or choose to be beaten down by me all at once?”
Come on, which of these people hadn’t secretly spat on Xue Lei?
Annabell didn’t have surveillance footage. Since she couldn’t launch precision strikes, she had to go with AOE clearing—beat every single one of them up first!
This taunt, a cannon of mockery, blew the lid right off!
“Is Annabell insane? Even if she’s a seventh-circle grand mage, does she dare take on all fifty of us alone?!”
“Is she using her legitimate lineage to humiliate us?!”
“Does she think she’s invincible?!”
Facing Annabell’s god-tier aggro-pulling map-wide taunt, the younger family members were fuming with red eyes.
“Has she lost it? We’re all from the Trandy Family—who here doesn’t carry some abyssal frenzy factor!”
Meanwhile, the high-level tactical instructor in charge of maintaining order was stroking his bald chin and nodding in satisfaction.
This was the perfect demeanor of a tyrant from the Trandy Family!
The Duke finally had a worthy successor!
A loud shout erupted from the crowd.
A white-haired irritable loli, standing under four feet eleven with a pair of furry ears on her head, leaped out with majestic bearing.
“What big talk! Big sister, let me test you!”
She hefted an [Earth-Splitting Demon Axe] three times her size, looking utterly imposing.
Annabell recognized her—the infamous mutant powerhouse from the cadet branch—Antonella.
She was born with an “Ancient Dragon Magic Heart,” a berserker-class template.
“Make your move.”
Annabell didn’t even raise a hand.
“Big sister, don’t underestimate me!”
Antonella leaped high into the air, the thousand-pound heavy axe tearing through the void with a black gale, heading straight for Annabell’s face.
One swing like that could put a crack in the city walls!
Before awakening, Annabell would have definitely flashed away to kite her—after all, mages fearing close combat was common sense.
But this was a villainess boss strengthened by an epic buff!
Under everyone’s horrified gaze, Annabell simply extended two pale, delicate fingers and calmly clamped down on the mountain-heavy axe blade.
Demonic energy churned, yet not a single strand of her hair stirred.
Catching a blade barehanded! How the hell was that something a human mage could pull off?!
This was the effect of pure level suppression.
Annabell’s level had broken through to 8, while her opponent was only a measly 5. With a three-level gap, as long as Annabell applied strengthening magic to herself, her abundant mana would transform into overwhelming power!
Though mages were weak in melee, that only mattered when strength was comparable.
Actually, Antonella was straightforward by nature, her head full of muscle-building, and had never once participated in the bullying of Xue Lei.
So Annabell didn’t plan to embarrass her too badly.
Annabell’s two fingers applied slight force, and her wrist flicked.
“Whoa!”
Antonella, axe and all, spun three and a half times in the air before landing firmly on her rear.
The loli stared blankly at the axe handle in her hands, then her eyes sparkled with adoring stars:
“Big sister is truly amazing! I admit defeat!”
Annabell waved her hand in disgust, then locked her gaze back onto those trembling relatives.
“Single-celled organisms like Antonella aside… As for you all—”
She paused, the corner of her mouth curling into an outrageously arrogant, villain-exclusive smirk.
“Sorry, I’m not targeting anyone in particular. I’m saying—everyone here is a worthless piece of trash with a battle power of five.”
“This is too much, brothers!”
“I can’t take it anymore! If we don’t take her down this time, how are we supposed to survive in this family! Everyone, charge together!”
“For the honor of the family!”
The crowd was boiling with fury.
Over fifty elite young mages, shadow assassins, and heavy-armored warriors instantly armed themselves, hurling a barrage of colorful magic arrays and small techniques at Annabell.
Facing the Trandy Family’s tradition of zero-chivalry group beatdowns, Annabell laughed out loud.
Just what I wanted!
If I don’t beat you all until you can’t take care of yourselves, what excuse do I have to vent for my little sister!
“Domain Expansion: Polar Sword Prison Array!”
Annabell’s staff struck the ground.
In an instant, seven floating azure ice swords, forged from absolute zero, tore through the air and plunged into the crowd like a death god’s meat grinder.
“Bang bang bang! Boom boom—”
“Aaahhh! My leg’s broken!”
“Not the face! Not the face! I still have a matchmaking event to attend, big sister!”
It was a complete dimension-crushing strike—a one-sided, unfair massacre.
“Mommy, I want to go home!”
Just a dimension-crushing strike on noobs.
Whether you were a handsome half-elf pretty boy or a big-brained, no-bra demon clan cousin, there was no privilege under Annabell’s ice magic—everyone was treated equally, all getting slapped with big hands!
Less than a minute later.
There was no longer a single upright creature on the dueling ground except Annabell.
Bodies lay scattered in every direction, groans rising one after another, like some kind of mass slaughterhouse.
The training elder outside the arena was sweating profusely, his heart trembling violently.
The young lady went to the academy for a while, and not only did her combat power multiply several times over, but her viciousness had skyrocketed too?
She hadn’t even activated the eye of truth’s ultimate move! A single basic attack took out this entire generation of young family members!
He seriously suspected that “everyone here is trash” included him too.
“Too weak. Truly disappointing.”
Annabell sighed, retracted the ice swords, stepped on some cousin’s face as she walked off the stage, and turned to look at the sweating training elder.
“Inspection complete. These good-for-nothings have abysmal training progress. I think they’ve been living too comfortably, spending all their time bullying the weak.”
The elder didn’t dare say otherwise, nodding repeatedly:
“The young lady is right! I’ll immediately double their training!”
“Hmph, send them all into the Abyss Trial Cave! Anyone who fails next month’s assessment gets their high-grade magic stone allowance halved for the entire year!”
The training elder, well-versed in workplace survival, seized the moment and roared additional punishment at the small fry on the ground.
Everyone lay there, tears almost bursting from their eyes.
Twilight after the training exercise.
In a back alley, several cadet branch members, beaten until their faces looked like pigs, supported each other as they walked through the castle’s back alley, hissing in pain.
A purple-haired youth viciously punched the wall.
“Damn Annabell! I can’t swallow this!”
The fatty beside him, holding his bleeding nose, fumed indignantly:
“Why does she get to humiliate us just because she has talent! She’s just having early menopause, looking for a punching bag to vent on!”
“One of the triangular-eyed youths let out a cold laugh, revealing an extremely sinister expression.
“Since she’s venting on us and we can’t do anything about her… right? Then we should find someone to take this anger out on, shouldn’t we?”
The purple-haired youth’s eyes lit up, catching on and lowering his voice:
“You mean that poreless black-haired beast in the basement, Xue Lei?”
“Heh heh heh heh… Exactly her. Hasn’t that stinking beggar been dodging torture with her hard-to-kill luck lately?”
The triangular-eyed youth sneered:
“I just picked up a second-circle forbidden magic item from the black market the day before yesterday—the [Dream Demon Barrier Array]. It can block out all sound. Paired with the newly developed [Bone-Eating Corrosion Powder], just a touch of it can make someone itch until they tear their own throat open.”
“She didn’t die from that, so this time we’ll use both attacks at once!”
“Hehe, great idea!”
Nine villain NPCs burst into a laugh that clearly didn’t know how to spell “death,” grabbed their tools, and crept toward the dungeon area.
“Let’s make her beg us like a dog!”
