After seeing Lu Yunze’s expression, Jiang Sui propped her hands against the stone railing and lifted her slender, fair body to sit at the front.
Though both were dressed in casual outfits suitable for going out, Jiang Sui’s style was completely different from Luo Yao’s.
Luo Yao wore a white long dress today, radiating the elegant demeanor of a noble lady from ancient times—unsurprising since she really was a noble daughter.
Jiang Sui’s style was far less conservative: a pale yellow spaghetti strap crop top accentuated her slim waistline, and light-washed blue denim shorts hugged her straight, slender legs tightly.
What stood out most was that when Jiang Sui shifted her hips and turned her body, the silver seashell chain tied around her ankle flickered right before Lu Yunze’s eyes.
“How do I look? Pretty?”
Apparently noticing Lu Yunze’s gaze fixed on her ankle, Jiang Sui hugged her knees and played with the chain with one hand.
“I just bought it a few days ago. Young Master likes it, right?”
“Why do you ask if I like it? It’s not like I’m the one wearing it,” Lu Yunze smiled faintly.
“If Young Master likes it, I can wear it for you every day.”
“Better not. It’d be really inconvenient for you.”
Jiang Sui always wore the Maid Uniform at home, complete with black stockings. Adding a chain would feel completely out of place.
Still, her expression didn’t seem to mind, “So Young Master’s on the Socks Faction? If you think it’s a problem, I can stop wearing them too.”
“You better mean stockings.”
Getting back on topic, Lu Yunze directly asked, “When did you get here?”
“Punishment duty.”
“How did you know I was at the hospital?”
“Well, as a qualified Maid, it’s an essential skill to always keep tabs on the Young Master’s movements.”
Though she spoke convincingly, Lu Yunze immediately saw through the truth:
“Honestly, you saw me leave with Luo Yao and secretly followed, didn’t you?”
“Oops.” Jiang Sui tilted her head, stuck out her tongue, trying to look cute and talk her way out.
Cute, but Lu Yunze wasn’t amused. “If Luo Yao finds out, both your job and safety could be at risk.”
“You’re so heartless! I came all the way here and even avoided the Miss deliberately, and you’re just going to send me back?”
“If you don’t go back, and Luo Yao sees us, we might not both be going anywhere.”
“Don’t be mad, Young Master. Look what I brought!”
Jiang Sui raised her hand, dangling a familiar bag from her fingertips. When it was pressed into her palm, Lu Yunze could still feel the warmth from the insulated container inside.
“This… congee?”
“It’s important stuff. Since you guys forgot it, I kindly brought it over.”
Jiang Sui wiped at her eyes, looking pitiful and wronged.
“I know I’m not as interesting as the Miss, after all, Young Master doesn’t really care about me.”
Though without tears, her tone and expression were deeply touching, making Lu Yunze involuntarily soften and relent.
“Alright, alright. I was wrong to blame you. I’ll give you a raise when we get back. No strings attached.”
“Long live the Young Master’s wisdom!”
At the mention of money, Jiang Sui’s eyes sparkled brightly, like a money-hungry little star.
Considering her situation, it was only natural to love money. But for someone like her to spend money taking a taxi all the way to the hospital just to deliver congee?
“I’ll reimburse your taxi fare. Just send me the receipt.”
“Young Master, you’re leaving so soon?”
“Not leaving yet. Luo Yao’s still nearby.”
Instead of showing any awkwardness at the mention of that name, Jiang Sui looked even more interested.
“No worries. Sitting a bit longer is fine. After all, I came all this way, and Young Master won’t even spend a little more time with me?”
“So, what do you want to do?”
“After working hard every day, I’m a bit tired. Young Master, just let me lean on you for a bit.”
Lean on me?
Lu Yunze imagined her resting her head on his shoulder and taking a short break. If it were that simple, it would be fine—as long as it ended before Luo Yao noticed.
Naive Lu Yunze quickly agreed to Jiang Sui’s request, saying the one word he would certainly regret later: “Alright.”
No sooner had he finished speaking than Jiang Sui stood up and came over.
Before Lu Yunze could even react, she straddled his shoulder.
That wasn’t all. Jiang Sui leaned her body forward, resting her chin on his shoulder, and softly blew air into his ear:
“Then I won’t be polite.”
So this was what she meant by “leaning on me”!
Her soft body pressed fully against his face, chest to chest. He could clearly feel the weight of her ample curves compressing and reshaping against him.
Jiang Sui’s legs spread wide, almost entirely pressing the softest parts of her lower body against him. Every subtle friction tested the Lower Chamber’s resolve.
This wasn’t leaning on him; it was a zero-distance embrace.
Was Lu Yunze moved? Not in the slightest.
Every breath blew in his ear, her firm curves pressed against his chest, and her two soft thighs clamped his legs, leaving him no chance to escape.
An old gentleman passed by, leaning on a cane. He had intended to find a spot on the stone railing to sit, but seeing the two’s position clearly, he immediately shook his head and turned away.
“Sigh, young people these days… even playing around in hospitals?”
Lu Yunze could only smile wryly. There was no way he could pick Jiang Sui up to explain.
He resigned himself to waiting until she got bored and moved away.
Oddly, though someone was pressing on him and he could feel the weight, Lu Yunze didn’t feel suffocated.
Being so close, he could smell the sweet fragrance drifting from the gray-brown strands of Jiang Sui’s hair. A gentle inhale revealed the scent of fruit shampoo.
He thought she would sneak some small moves, but unexpectedly she was really resting her eyes, so he didn’t dare disturb her.
Maybe I’ll rest a bit too, treating her like a life-sized pillow.
The thought was pleasant, but reality was very different.
Jiang Sui, whether genuinely asleep or pretending, moved her body from time to time. The two’s bodies already had large contact areas, so any slight movement made Lu Yunze’s blood surge.
Ah, no…
The Upper Chamber was about to lose control over the Lower Chamber. Under such soft temptation, the little Lu Lu was already showing signs of rising.
If he moved his head up in this cramped space, it would surely hit something soft and warm… No, Lu Yunze, you have to hold on!
Unable to rest at all, he felt like an ascetic monk, brows tightly furrowed, repeatedly reciting the Music Score he practiced yesterday to distract himself.
Thankfully, this hellish moment didn’t last long before Jiang Sui let out a soft groan, sat up, and stretched lazily.
“Satisfied.”
“Hmm, I think I fell asleep.”
“You better have,” Lu Yunze prayed she’d get off soon. His blood was rushing downward; if this kept up, his head would too.
“It’s quite comfortable.”
“That’s good then.”
“I was actually thinking of sleeping a bit longer.” Jiang Sui suddenly curled her lips, “Young Master, you bumped into me.”
Bang! Now he really couldn’t hold it in.
Fortunately, Jiang Sui finally agreed to get off him. Lu Yunze collapsed back in his chair, tugged at his collar, and wiped the sweat off his forehead.
Jiang Sui looked much better now and even had the leisure to check her phone.
“Since you’re satisfied, I’ll just…”
Before Lu Yunze could stand, he spotted a figure approaching in the distance.
It was Luo Yao!
She looked around as she walked and, the moment she saw Lu Yunze, her face lit up with surprise.
“Brother Chen, finally found you!”
As she hurried over, Lu Yunze glanced to his side and realized Jiang Sui had mysteriously disappeared.
“Sorry to have worried you, Brother Lu. I should have brought you with me.”
“It’s nothing, nothing.”
Lu Yunze scratched his head, and Luo Yao smiled brightly.
But the next moment, her nose twitched and her smile faded.
“Brother, why do you smell so good?”
Lu Yunze, danger!
