“Nino, before we head out, let me check your status.”
Elliris was thinking long-term. After all, for the foreseeable future, she and Nino would be forming a new two-person team.
To be honest, the change in party composition was significant. Sophia had been able to function as both a damage dealer and a front-line tank, something Nino definitely could not do. There were no magic tanks in *Titan Chronicles: Star Wish*; magic classes were the traditional “glass cannons” with high attack and paper-thin defense.
Elliris remembered that Nino was also a dual-class mage, so she decided to use **[Appraisal Eye]** to take a look.
“Oh~ Are you using the Omnia family’s special talent, **[Appraisal Eye]**? Okay! Nino is more than happy to show everything to you without reservation, Elliris!” Nino said, tilting her head with a beaming smile.
“Cough, Nino, it’s not that serious… I’m just thinking about how two mages should coordinate as a team.”
Elliris blushed. For a split second, her mind had flashed to an image of a stark-naked Nino…
Elliris could only manage an awkward smile. Then, her sky-blue eyes shimmered as she activated the **[Appraisal Eye]** skill.
**[Nino Rialti, Level 53, HP: 2850, MP: 5365]**
**[Class: Mage / Enchanter]**
**[Sub-class: Intermediate Alchemist]**
**[Learned Enchanter Skills: Mind Fortify (Strengthens ally resistance, increases resistance to control effects, can remove CC), Mana Recovery, Greater Mana Recovery, Magic Boost, Defense Boost, Healing Boost, Chant Acceleration, Chant Protection (Prevents an ally’s magic chanting from being interrupted)]**
**[Elliris Omnia, Level 58, HP: 3350, MP: 9645]**
**[Class: Priest / Mage]**
**[Sub-class: Senior Alchemist]**
Elliris’s personal status panel was naturally that of a top-tier expert, but the key to their coordination lay in whether they could assist each other’s attacks and complement one another. This would require more practice and tempering through actual combat.
Notably, Nino’s Enchanter class allowed her to support both herself and others. In gaming terms, most of Elliris’s Priest skills were focused on healing and recovery—essentially a “Heal-Support”—while Nino focused on buffs. She even possessed rare skills like Chant Protection and Mana Recovery.
On a side note, the combined health of these two “glass cannons” was still less than Sophia’s current HP.
After her observation, Elliris rubbed her chin. After a moment, she asked Nino, “Nino, your Enchanter class is truly rare. We should be able to pull off some great combos.”
“Of course! Nino specifically trained as an Enchanter just so she could team up with you for a long time, Elliris!” Nino’s eyes sparkled with excitement. It was as if she had been waiting for this moment for a long time, just hoping that Elliris would praise her.
“While keeping ourselves stocked with alchemy tools and potions, our cooperation will be vital. It will be a test of how we chain our magic skills together and determining who should support whom during the attack phase to find the optimal solution.”
Elliris cut straight to the heart of the matter, identifying the core issue in a single sentence. Nino immediately nodded in response.
This served as a brief pre-battle briefing. After Elliris and Nino briefed each other and understood their respective skills, they officially set off.
However, the weather today was not cooperating at all. The clear skies of the past two days had vanished. After a brief period of clarity in the early morning, they were greeted by a raging blizzard.
“Ugh… Nino, this… how about we head out another day?” Elliris felt like retreating the moment she stepped out the door.
“It’s okay, Elliris. I have sled dogs and a snow carriage.”
Nino stood with her hands on her hips, a triumphant expression on her face. With that, she took out a summoning scroll and spread it open. A white light flashed from a summoning circle on the ground, and three large dogs and a snow carriage appeared instantly.
‘Elliris, do you have a lot of questions? How does Nino seem like a magic cat, performing tricks on the spot?’
“This is…! These big dogs, where were they before? How did they just… *poof*, appear!” Elliris gesticulated with excitement, leaning in close to Nino to ask.
“Hehe~ These are dogs raised at the Resistance headquarters. I just teleported them here! Wahaha~ Isn’t the great Nino amazing?”
“Mhm~ Nino is truly amazing. So reliable~” Elliris was not stingy with her praise because she could see that these sled dogs were extraordinary. They were protected by a barrier that could cut through the wind and snow.
“Humph~ So you noticed, Elliris? That’s right! Mama bestowed a Snow-Breaking Barrier upon them. Sitting in the carriage they pull, we can completely ignore the blizzard!”
Elliris couldn’t help but admire Aunt Rachel’s preparation and support capabilities. Being able to assist her mother meant she certainly had extraordinary qualities.
“Good dogs, let’s go! Mush!”
*Bark!* X3. Nino snapped the reins, and the snow carriage began to move.
Facing the blizzard, Elliris saw that the interference from the storm was directly filtered out in front of the carriage. It was like being on a maglev bullet train; a barrier appeared that isolated them from the wind and snow. This was the protective effect of Rachel’s barrier.
At the same time, Nino used a **[Cold Breath Tracking Stone]**, which allowed them to accurately locate the Snowman Tribe’s dwelling in the snowfield cave.
In this Northern Snowfield, the convenience brought by this series of alchemy tools and efficient transport was something that could not be measured by money.
“This is really impressive…”
“Elliris, it’s also thanks to the **[Group Tracking Stone]** you made. Otherwise, we wouldn’t be able to move today.”
Elliris and Nino sat in the snow carriage as if they were sitting on a train, not feeling the cold at all.
Elliris didn’t really know how to set up barrier magic yet.
‘Is this stuff… really this powerful?’
She felt that if necessary, she truly needed to go back and study it properly.
As Elliris and Nino chatted, about 1 hour later, the snow carriage arrived at the entrance of the snowfield cave.
“Good work, dogs. I’ll send you back now so Mama can feed you~” Nino spread the summoning scroll again. With a flash of white light, the snow carriage and sled dogs were sent back to the Resistance headquarters.
As they stepped into the cave, Elliris looked around.
There were no signs of the Snowman Tribe at the entrance today. The **[Cold Breath Tracking Stone]** was reacting, but not strongly.
“Nino, let’s try moving forward. **[Holy Prayer: Tenacity]**, **[Holy Prayer: Shield]**!”
“Mhm, okay, Elliris. I’ll reinforce your shield. **[Defense Boost]**!”
The two of them prepared themselves and entered cautiously. At the same time, they both made sure they were ready to use the phosphorus fire potions at their waists at any moment.
Suddenly, as they were walking slowly, cracks appeared in the ice beneath their feet. Elliris and Nino quickly scrambled away from the area.
Three 3-meter-tall snowmen burst out from the ground. Their fluffy white fur was covered in icicles, and their amber eyes shimmered with a fierce light, as if warning the intruders that this was their forbidden territory.
The lead snowman bared its teeth. Suddenly, the aura of dark magic surfaced on its body, creating an unsettling feeling.
Fortunately, Elliris noticed it. The angry expressions and movements of these snowmen were not entirely natural. It felt as if they were being controlled.
In an instant, the lead snowman charged. It swung a massive fist shimmering with ice crystals, aiming straight for the two young mages.
