“How did these magical girls get here so fast?”
Among the crowd on the ground that should have been screaming and fleeing, a two-meter-tall, muscular man with a shiny bald head coldly watched the magical girls battling monsters in the sky, his voice tinged with dissatisfaction.
“You said the magical girls in this city weren’t strong and would take at least seven to eight minutes to arrive. Now, it’s been less than four minutes.”
His discontented gaze shifted to the side, but the target of his stare responded with a nonchalant expression, as if to say, “What does it matter?”
“Isn’t the goal of Lord Mad Python to teach these magical girls a lesson, to make them pay for their reckless actions a few days ago? Their early arrival is actually a good thing.”
The slender man in a black suit and half-face mask sneered twice.
“We’re just partners. Your Snake Fang needs our monster-control technology, but we’re not your subordinates. Don’t speak to me with that commanding attitude.”
A glint of ferocity flashed in Mad Python’s eyes. If the leader hadn’t emphasized the importance of this cooperation, he would’ve already killed this infuriating bastard.
Sigh… Suppressing his anger, Mad Python redirected his gaze to the sky. Since he couldn’t take it out on this “partner,” he’d use those magical girls as punching bags instead.
Hmph, Star Ocean City really is as poorly defended as the rumors say.
The strongest magical girl here is just a budding-level one. Dealing with her will be a piece of cake.
In Mirage Mushroom City, Mad Python was merely an elite monster, never daring to confront magical girls head-on, fearing he’d fall into a trap set by the Mirage Mushroom City Magic Department and get caught by a blooming-level magical girl.
But in Star Ocean City, a small place without even a single blooming-level magical girl, he was invincible!
“I’ll go take care of those annoying magical girls first!”
With a cold snort, Mad Python stomped the ground, the giant python tattoo on his body emitting a dark glow.
Like an arrow shot from a bow, he soared into the sky.
During his flight, his already robust frame grew even larger, transforming into a five-meter-tall monster that had completely shed any human resemblance.
“Heh, a brainless brute. Does he really think Star Ocean City’s waters are that shallow?”
Watching Mad Python charge into the sky, a trace of disdain flashed across the black-suited man’s face.
“Besides, the local forces here aren’t exactly going to welcome you.”
…
“Senpai, I’ve got its attention! Hurry and attack its weak point!”
After successfully drawing the monster’s aggro with a sneak attack, Siam quickly pulled away, luring the monster toward Rosemary’s attack range.
Compared to Lily, Siam’s fighting style leaned more toward close-quarters combat, and her agility far surpassed Lily’s.
Even their senior, Xia Mo, couldn’t match Siam’s maneuverability in tight spaces.
The enraged monster launched a frenzied assault on Siam, but she dodged nearly every attack.
Her movements were so different from typical magical girls that even the monster couldn’t predict her actions.
For Siam, the entire sky was her leverage point—she could change direction instantly with a single push.
Even blooming-level magical girls, unless specifically trained for it, couldn’t keep up with her agility, let alone budding-level ones.
Attacks she couldn’t dodge were intercepted by white beams before they could hit her.
Though they often bickered, on the battlefield, Lily was always a reliable partner for Siam.
Several glowing orbs floated around Luo Shuangxing.
Whenever she noticed the monster unleashing an attack Siam couldn’t evade, the orbs would fire mana beams to deflect the attacks.
This supportive role felt comfortable for Luo Shuangxing.
Just focusing on protecting her teammates was so much easier than handling everything herself.
On the other side, Xia Mo had finished preparing her ultimate magic cannon.
As soon as Siam lured the monster into the perfect attack range, she could take it down with one shot!
But just as the situation seemed to favor the magical girls, Xia Mo sensed a terrifyingly powerful aura erupting from below.
A sneak attack!
Without time to think, Xia Mo redirected her fully charged magic cannon toward the source of the aura.
A pale purple beam of mana tore through the sky, colliding with a five-meter-long black monster.
“Too weak! Is this supposed to be a massage?”
The monster let out a mocking laugh, completely ignoring Xia Mo’s full-powered cannon as it continued charging toward her.
“Go to hell!”
“What?!”
The cannon had no effect, causing Xia Mo’s pupils to shrink in shock.
A sudden chill down her spine warned her she couldn’t stay put.
Immediately cutting off the cannon, Xia Mo dodged to the side.
The next moment, a black shadow pierced through where she had just been standing.
It was the monster’s arm, transformed into a python-like shape, striking across hundreds of meters.
Sweat beaded on Xia Mo’s forehead.
Such a bizarre attack method—this opponent seemed even more terrifying than the Nether Butterfly.
“Not bad reflexes, but…”
The monster sneered, preparing to pursue, when a black light shot from the distance, smashing him away before he could react.
“Since when do outsiders get to show off in Star Ocean City? Been living too comfortably these past few years and forgot what happened back then?”
