Ivy stared at Flossi, whose temperament had completely changed before her eyes, her expression extremely complicated.
She felt both anger and the urge to laugh.
Wasn’t Flossi supposed to be strong? Wasn’t she supposed to be formidable?
When the original owner fought Flossi, she had been defeated in an instant with just one encounter.
So how was it that now, she was getting turned over by a weak monster she could handle herself?
Ivy looked at Flossi, who was slowly approaching her, and tried hard to retreat.
The small stones on the ground pressed painfully against the wound on her hand, sending waves of agony that almost made Ivy lose consciousness.
But Ivy gritted her teeth and endured through sheer willpower.
Because she knew that if she passed out now, she would probably be finished for real.
Ivy tried to support herself with her hands, but the exhaustion following the adrenaline rush swept over her.
She no longer had the strength to stand up.
She couldn’t even crawl.
Damn it.
What else could she do?
Flossi’s neck still bore the blood Ivy had just smeared on it.
Clearly, unlike the monster in that dark space earlier, the blood seemed to have no effect on Flossi.
At the very least, smearing blood on her did nothing.
Could she have to feed the blood to Flossi?
Ivy remembered how Flossi had sucked her blood earlier.
Maybe she really needed to feed Flossi her blood to help her snap out of this state.
But in her current condition, how was she supposed to do that?
Flossi had already reached her, yet Ivy still couldn’t think of a solution.
The next moment, Ivy’s body curled up in pain.
A sharp ache surged from her abdomen, and she was instantly thrown backwards.
She rolled violently on the ground until she crashed into the wall, leaving a dent and sending shards of stone flying deep into her body before coming to a stop.
Ivy clutched her stomach.
Flossi’s kick felt as if it had broken her sternum.
There was a metallic taste of blood in her throat.
She coughed, spitting blood onto the floor.
Ivy was already in terrible shape, and Flossi’s blow had pushed her to the brink.
Staring at the blood she had just spat out, Ivy seemed to realize how to feed her blood to Flossi.
Although the method might be disgusting, she had no other choice.
Leaning against the wall, her whole body aching terribly, Ivy felt as if her body was no longer her own.
It really… hurt so much.
Flossi began chanting a strange incantation Ivy couldn’t understand, her face twisted into an eerie smile that sent chills down Ivy’s spine.
Though the chant was barely audible, and Flossi was still far away, gradually the same chant began echoing in Ivy’s ears.
Along with it came twisted murmurs, piercing screams, and maddened laughter.
These sounds battered Ivy’s mind, nearly driving her to unbearable pain.
As if things weren’t bad enough, Ivy suddenly felt a tug at her neck.
She lifted her eyes and saw Flossi had picked up a rope from the ground, holding it in her hand.
Ivy’s eyes flickered, and the next moment her body was rolling on the ground uncontrollably.
She could only protect her head as the frenzied Flossi toyed with her.
The intense pain was too much to bear, and finally Ivy broke down crying.
But the crying only seemed to fuel Flossi further.
The smile on Flossi’s face grew wider as laughter escaped her lips.
Ivy felt the world spinning; she was being dragged mercilessly like a toy.
Her once fair skin was now torn and bloody, smeared with countless grains of sand.
Her consciousness began to waver.
But it wasn’t over yet.
Suddenly, Ivy felt a searing, stabbing pain erupt across her back.
Instinctively, she covered her back with her hands.
The same scorching, stabbing pain shot through her hands and back simultaneously.
With the pain came the crackling sound of a whip cutting through the air.
“Why don’t you believe in the gods? The gods are noble, they are sacred! Why do you reject them? Why do you reject them?!!!” Flossi screamed in madness, her hand movements wild, red pupils blazing with insanity and fury.
The whip lashed again and again, striking Ivy’s back mercilessly.
The pain was so fierce that even the agony of her pierced hand paled in comparison.
This brutal balance strangely helped Ivy barely withstand the excruciating pain that threatened to make her lose consciousness.
At that moment, Ivy suddenly heard noises nearby.
Two knight-like figures appeared outside the manor, standing right before Ivy’s eyes.
They held long spears and shields, shouting fiercely at Flossi, “What are you doing?!”
“This is Lord Divin’s manor! No unauthorized personnel allowed inside!”
Ivy’s lips trembled; she wanted the knights to flee quickly, but no sound came out.
Her throat was clogged with blood, only producing faint, strange choking noises.
Hearing the commotion, Flossi gradually stopped venting her rage.
Ivy finally caught a moment to breathe.
Watching the knights rush toward Flossi, a flicker of pity flashed in Ivy’s eyes.
But she quickly suppressed the uncalled-for emotion.
While Flossi’s attention was elsewhere, Ivy quickly searched for a place to hide.
She spotted a flowerbed.
Though called a flowerbed, it was more like a stretch of dense greenery, similar to the landscaped strips Ivy had seen in her previous life.
The flowerbed spanned dozens of meters, looking grand and lush.
The plants were tall and thick enough to conceal Ivy if she crawled inside.
Ivy slowly began crawling toward the flowerbed.
Flossi’s face still wore that sinister smile as she watched the knights charge at her.
The next moment.
Two sharp, blood-red arrows pierced through the knights’ chests simultaneously.
The knights dropped their shields and spears to the ground.
Flossi lightly clapped her hands, and the blood mist arrows seemed to undergo some transformation.
The bulky knights’ bodies shriveled rapidly before the eye, turning into dried corpses.
Flossi licked her lips but furrowed her brows, as if the knights’ blood tasted awful.
She flicked her wrist slightly, and the blood-red arrows quickly began to swell.
The shriveled corpses of the two knights exploded on the spot.
Their bodies scattered into countless fragments, bones and flesh strewn everywhere.
After disposing of the troublesome knights, Flossi turned her head and looked toward where Ivy had just been.
But Flossi found no sign of Ivy in her line of sight.
She started scanning the area but couldn’t immediately locate Ivy’s escape route.
Flossi wasn’t worried yet; she slowly let the blood mist spread out.
It enveloped the entire manor.
