“What should I do…” Su Mumu felt utterly helpless.

‘Can I really save Xin Xin looking like this?’

‘Sigh… fate really plays tricks on people!’

Su Mumu lightly patted her cheeks and cheered herself up, her eyes shining with determination.

Su Mumu narrowed her eyes and carefully scanned the surrounding snow. Soon, she discovered a trail of small, dense footprints.

To be honest, she was terrified. Arriving in a strange world and turning back into a fox girl—anxiety almost overwhelmed her.

Su Mumu stepped forward, and her figure quickly vanished into the forest.

Inside the forest, the canopy was so thick that the sky was barely visible, and sunlight struggled to penetrate the gloom.

She carefully followed the footsteps, walking faster and faster.

She was truly worried about Xin Xin!

After walking for about 10 minutes, Su Mumu realized the footprints stopped in front of a cluster of bushes.

‘Hmm?’

‘Is this it?’

Su Mumu curiously parted the bushes, revealing her exquisite little face and the pair of fox ears standing tall on her head.

What met her eyes was a group of strange faces. By the look of them, they were the elite class students from Xianzong.

They were sitting in a circle around a roaring bonfire.

The flames leaped high into the air.

“Ugh! This hellhole doesn’t even have a decent shelter!”

“Yeah… even the rabbits are too fast! Dammit, are we going to starve on our first night?”

“Anyway, we need to find food as soon as possible… As for resting, we can just build a wooden cabin by hand if we have to.”

In an instant, the sound of rushing footsteps pursued her like a surging tide, sounding like a countdown to death.

“Whoa, this fox girl can talk? Interesting… we must catch her!”

The elite class students were energized, their eyes turning red with excitement.

“Little fox girl, don’t run! Come to big sister… big sister adores you!”

“Didn’t you see just now? That fox girl is gorgeous! Finders keepers!”

Su Mumu heard all their taunts and lies.

She realized these students were in incredible physical shape!

They were closing in fast.

Su Mumu even felt someone brush against the tip of her tail.

She was so startled she almost wished she could fly away.

Adrenaline surged through her.

Gritting her teeth and using every bit of strength she had, Su Mumu wove through the forest, using the complex terrain to play a game of hide-and-seek.

She eventually found a large thicket big enough to hide her entire body.

Her heart was pounding so hard it felt like it would burst out of her chest.

Su Mumu covered her mouth to stifle her heavy breathing and watched the situation outside through a tiny gap.

Voices surrounded her.

They were everywhere… she was surrounded.

“Where did she go?”

“Search! The fox girl must be hiding somewhere!”

“She looks like a little demon who just underwent shapeshifting. Catch her and interrogate her about this world!”

“Nothing over here!”

“Nothing in the trees over here, either!”

“Keep looking! Flip over every bush in the area!”

Su Mumu’s eyes widened in terror, and she couldn’t help but curse in her head.

‘You bunch of idiots!’

‘Can you please stop doing this… *Sob*.’

‘Is there any way out…’

‘I need to think of something!’

‘I’m running out of time…’

‘They’re coming…’

‘Wait, I think I have…’

Su Mumu carefully pulled out the High-level stealth talisman with a grave expression.

She had no choice.

‘Thank you for giving me the talisman, Hippo Lady.’

Su Mumu quickly slapped the talisman onto her body.

The bushes in front of her were suddenly pulled aside.

A girl wearing glasses shouted to the group behind her, “I’ve checked everywhere. The fox girl isn’t here!”

With that, the girl in the black-rimmed glasses left.

The bushes closed again, shrouding Su Mumu’s world in darkness once more.

Only then did Su Mumu snap out of it, feeling a wave of relief as if she had just survived a disaster.

That was close…

She waited.

She waited until there wasn’t a single sound outside.

Only then did Su Mumu dare to crawl out of the bushes.

‘Although I’m completely invisible for now, I’ll still be discovered if I’m touched or if I make a noise, right?’

For the rest of the journey, Su Mumu walked with extreme caution, constantly watching the ground to avoid branches and stones.

The forest was simply too large.

The sky was gradually growing dark.

As the sun began to set, Su Mumu felt a sense of dread.

After walking for another 30 minutes, Su Mumu felt like she was on the verge of collapsing. Suddenly, at the edge of the forest ahead, she spotted a small cave.

Then, she cautiously approached the cave, inching forward with silent footsteps.
