“Despicable bastards, you pride yourselves on being noble, yet you stoop to such low, filthy tricks!”
Aurelia shouted angrily, her hand gripping the sword trembling. Her strength was nearly spent.
“We Vampires only respect the powerful, and you lowly races don’t deserve our respect,” Sera sneered, squeezing Bai’s hand even tighter.
Bai struggled desperately, but it was useless.
Her mind dulled from lack of oxygen, her vision blurred, and the surrounding light seemed to dim.
“I advise you not to struggle. I might just snap your neck if you keep it up, heh heh heh.”
At that moment, Skarn finally reached his limit.
His massive body suddenly sank, collapsing to his knees, only able to support himself with his greatsword.
“Damn… phoo.”
He cursed, spitting out a mouthful of blood. Standing up again was now an impossible dream.
“Ahaha, finally time, huh? I thought you’d last a bit longer. I wasn’t done playing yet,” Sera shrugged, feigning regret.
As she spoke, Aurelia suddenly staggered a few steps and nearly fell.
She clutched her forehead as a sharp pain spread throughout her body—her strength was at its end too.
Sera’s smile grew more arrogant.
Now, no one could threaten her.
With the last ounce of strength gone, Bai’s struggling hand finally dropped weakly.
Her pupils glazed over, as if teetering on the edge of unconsciousness.
“I was going to kill them first and then savor your blood, but the scent of your blood is far too strong. Even from this distance, it makes my whole body restless and hot. I’ve changed my mind. Now, I’m going to enjoy it properly.”
“Bastard!!!”
Aurelia screamed at the top of her lungs.
She tried to move forward, but as soon as she took a step, she collapsed weakly to the ground, forced to watch helplessly as the hideous Vampire prepared to feast.
Sera bared her fangs, about to lift Bai’s hair and bite into her neck—but then froze.
On Bai’s slender, pale neck, there were already several bite marks from fangs, clearly well worn from long use.
Raising an eyebrow, Sera mocked, “I thought I’d found a fresh Blood Bottle, but it turns out she already has an owner.”
Bai’s heart sank.
She nervously said, “Bai, I don’t know what you’re talking about.”
“Lying children aren’t good children. Such a pity—I was planning to turn you into a Blood Servant. What a promising candidate, already snatched away by someone else.”
She paused, then raised an eyebrow again.
“Or maybe, why not? If I take you far enough away, even your master won’t be able to find you.”
That’s right! Such delicious blood—she definitely wasn’t going to let it go.
After all, the world is vast, and even if this person has a master, there’s no way they could find him!
Bai: ? Are you sure about that?
Sera continued without noticing, then suddenly caught Aurelia’s gaze from nearby.
She said, “You don’t know this little one’s identity, do you?”
“What do you mean?”
Hearing the question, Sera suddenly laughed loudly.
She pulled Bai’s hair aside, fully exposing her neck.
Everyone then saw the chilling bite marks on her pale skin—marks left by Vampires.
“I thought you were close, but it seems you never told them the truth. This child… is a Blood Servant.”
“Huh?”
Aurelia’s eyes went blank, unable to believe what she just heard. Blood Servant?
A Vampire’s slave, a traitor who sold her blood and soul, and a special breed of Vampire Beast…
“You’re lying! Bai could never be a Blood Servant!”
Sera sneered, “I have no reason to lie. Well, since you’re about to die, I might as well let you know the truth.”
She suddenly waved her hand, revealing a dangerous smile as she called out, “Come out, my little darling.”
[Thud… thud… thud]
A heavy sound echoed through the forest—the footsteps of a colossal beast.
Bai’s pupils tightened.
There was no mistake: that overwhelming pressure came from that monster!
“Roar roar roar—”
The beast’s roar came from the depths of the forest.
One by one, trees began to snap and fall as a terrifying giant shadow emerged, its pace quickening from a slow walk to a rapid series of heavy sprints.
The next moment—
“Boom boom boom!”
Countless trees were smashed aside as a giant Vampire Beast with a thick black mane revealed itself to everyone.
Its size was so huge that ordinary Vampire Beasts were less than half its size.
Its blood-stained maw hung slightly open, thick, foul-smelling liquid dripping to the ground.
Aurelia stared wide-eyed in shock.
This was the first time the Broken Blood Knight Order had ever seen such a creature.
Its terrifying aura and size meant only their peak strength could even hope to stand a chance now.
“Like it? This is the little gift I prepared for you all, heh heh heh.”
Sera sneered cruelly, pointing at them with a cold, icy voice.
“Kill them, my little darling.”
“Roar roar roar!”
The giant beast roared and suddenly accelerated toward the knights, its massive body instantly knocking several of them aside.
Faced with such a monster, the entire squad began to fall apart.
Already exhausted, how could they possibly take on this beast?
They swung their longswords with all their might in a desperate counterattack, but the monster’s hide was incredibly tough.
Their silver blades couldn’t penetrate even an inch and were blocked effortlessly.
“Hold on! This isn’t the time to give up!”
Skarn shouted, trying to rise and rejoin the fight.
But as he exerted himself, his chest churned violently, and he spat out another mouthful of blood before collapsing weakly to his knees.
“Damn it… is this really how it ends?”
“Enjoy this gift I made with so much effort,” Sera laughed again, turning back to Bai.
Victory was now unquestionable, and she was ready to savor her sweet prize.
“Although you have a master, I don’t mind taking a sip now, heh heh.”
She opened her mouth, her glinting fangs poised to bite, when suddenly—
“Roar roar roar!!!”
A dragon’s roar shattered the sky, a terrifying, thunderous soundwave sweeping across the forest.
The ground trembled slightly.
Everyone—the giant monster, the battling Vampire Beasts and knights—stopped as one.
The humans looked up in confusion, while the Vampire Beasts suddenly began trembling with fear, some even losing control.
Realizing the danger, they turned and fled.
In the blink of an eye, every Vampire Beast had vanished! And the giant beast?
It was already cowering on the ground, frozen in place.
Sera stood dumbfounded, her previous composure and scorn replaced by deep dread and panic.
That voice—there was no mistaking it…
Her lips trembled as she slowly uttered a single word.
“Dragon…”
