Five kilometers outside Watchfort, inside a heavily guarded military camp, Wilona sat in the center of a tent draped in a small blanket, cradling a cup of hot tea. Surrounding her stood several high-ranking officers.
“Princess, are you sure you remember correctly? It was a Priest in the Mist who commanded monsters to kill all those bandits, and then did some unforgivable things to you, is that right?”
One of the officers asked, and Wilona nodded timidly.
“Can you describe the appearance of that Priest?”
Appearance… Wilona pondered for a moment, then realized she couldn’t really describe much at all.
She had been far too scared at the time and hadn’t dared to look at that person for more than a few glances.
All Wilona could remember was that her hair could blend into the Mist, her face was breathtakingly beautiful, and were her eyes pink or red?
“Um…”
After thinking for a long while, Wilona looked up and replied earnestly:
“Cute!”
“Cute?”
“That’s right, that person was incredibly cute, meow!”……
In Deya City, with the day of the Academy’s assessment drawing closer, a slightly weary Suna wandered alone through the Academy, clutching a book and the midday paper.
“Reaching Second Rank within a month… that’s pretty tough…”
Only students of the Second Rank could participate in the Academy assessment, so the soon-to-graduate students were all pushing themselves as hard as they could.
But with so much happening these past few days, Suna was struggling to keep up.
“Demons, demons… Truth has been missing for nearly a day now, did she get possessed again and run off to do something bad?
Reg too—he promised we’d go hunt monsters outside the city today, but then said something urgent came up.”
Everyone’s so busy. Well, it’s good to be busy, I suppose. Suna snorted dismissively and started reading the morning news:
“The Harin Family of Watchfort suffered a devastating attack by a Dragon, with heavy casualties…”
“A human trafficking group calling themselves the ‘Mist Gang’ has appeared in the Mist, with over thirty victims so far. The Law Enforcement Bureau is investigating further…”
“The lockdown on Deya City has been lifted. The Demon Hunters refuse to reveal anything about the Demons…”
“A Northern Royal Family Member encountered danger in the Mist, prompting emergency deployment of Watchfort’s garrison. This incident is likely linked to the ‘Mist Gang’…”
So many major events… Suna frowned, remembering that just this morning, the theft at the Bank Vault had nearly scared her father to death.
Why did it feel like Deya City hadn’t been peaceful at all these past few days?
Lowering her head as she walked and read, Suna suddenly bumped into something soft at a corner.
Looking up, she realized she had run into Tia, the High Priest, and her ample bosom:
“Ah! I’m sorry, Dean, I wasn’t watching where I was going.”
Looking at Suna, who seemed to have the word “lonely” written all over her, Tia, who had just returned to the Academy and changed into her Priest’s robes, gently patted her head and smiled:
“Are your friends not at the Academy today?”
“Mm… They all seem really busy and don’t have much time to spend with me.”
Suna lowered her head again, feeling a bit down.
“I see. Then how about letting Truth keep you company? She needs a break too.”
“Truth?”
Suna’s head shot up, and she saw Tia patting her back. A mischievous little head peeked out from behind her, pink eyes peering straight at Suna through slightly damp, silver-white hair.
“Miss me, Young Lady?”
Truth, fresh from a bath and dressed in a loose long dress, winked at Suna.
Oh no, that’s a mental attack! Looking at me with such adorable eyes is just cheating!
Suna immediately used her book to hide her slightly flushed cheeks:
“N-no way, I’ve been studying all day!”
“Studying?”
Looking at the book in Suna’s hand, Female Breast Enhancement Tips, Tia and Truth, the two Priests— one tall, one small— tilted their heads in unison and spoke at the same time.
Truth leaned in, squinting as she sized up Suna’s figure, right hand stroking her chin:
“Looks like someone isn’t very confident about her body.”
“Body? Wait! No, no, no, no…” Suna hurriedly hid the book behind her back, shut her eyes tight, and tried her hardest to deny it:
“It’s not what you think!”
The two Priests nodded repeatedly— mm-hmm, it’s exactly what we think…
Ten minutes later, Tia excused herself to go back to work, leaving Truth to accompany Suna in the research room— though in reality, she was about to secretly call upon the Mist Lord.
And in the research room, Suna’s chatterbox was immediately opened, pouring all her recent troubles into Truth’s ears.
Truth was suffering…
I like soft and sweet girls, but I don’t like their way of life! Things like shopping for clothes, gossiping behind people’s backs, or pouring out their worries to each other— none of that appeals to me!
After twenty minutes of Suna’s endless complaints, Truth finally seized an opportunity when Suna mentioned her worries about the Academy assessment:
“You want to quickly reach Second Rank within a month? I have a great method.”
“Really? Please, tell me!”
Suna’s face was full of anticipation. Then, she watched as Truth closed her eyes and pressed her palms together:
“It’s simple! Just pray for my Lord’s help!”
Truth planned to use her main account’s name to toss Suna into the Mist and have Reg help her farm some low-level monsters.
“Eh? Wait, that’s not allowed!”
The Demon hasn’t even come out on its own— why are you summoning it yourself?!
I’ve been deliberately avoiding mentioning anything about Demons, and yet! Suna immediately tried to stop Truth’s praying hands, but it was too late.
Truth opened her eyes, her blood-red pupils watching Suna with great interest:
“You’re in quite a good mood.”
“Eep!”
Suna was so startled she backed away, legs trembling as her back pressed against the wall. Truth advanced step by step, a teasing smile flickering at the corner of her lips, and slammed her right hand against the wall by Suna’s ear!
Tsk tsk, this is the fun part. It’s just like bullying a two-month-old puppy back home during New Year’s and watching it yelp— Truth really loved seeing Suna’s panicked face… Hmm?
Raising her head slightly, Truth noticed there wasn’t much panic in Suna’s eyes at all— instead… was that a hint of shyness?
What’s going on, has my intimidation lost its effect?!
Actually, her intimidation was still there, but Suna’s strange imagination had neutralized it…
In Suna’s eyes, the Demon possessing Truth was certainly troublesome, but perhaps Truth’s appearance was just too cute, making her feel…
A different kind of charm?
For example, right now, because of their height difference, the Demon in front of her had to stand on tiptoe and lift her chin just to barely meet Suna’s gaze. After all, Suna was a solid 160 centimeters tall.
So Truth was probably around 145 centimeters? Definitely not quite 150. So cute! And she didn’t have that thick bloody scent from their previous encounters— instead, there was a faint hint of tulips.
Just like Dean Tia’s scent! Ugh, they must have bathed together before coming to the Academy!
Or maybe they used the same soap!
No, what am I thinking? She’s not Truth right now, she’s the Demon!
Suna quickly turned her face away.
Truth realized something was off with the atmosphere too. Damn, unless she’s covered in blood, her current form really doesn’t have much intimidation!
She could only straighten her face, retract her hand, and point to the floor:
“Behave.”
“Uh…”
Suna carefully crouched down on the floor, a bead of cold sweat running down her forehead. Was the Demon angry now?
Now it was Suna’s turn to look up at Truth. The Demon-possessed Truth put her hands on her hips and said:
“Truth says you want to reach Second Rank quickly?”
“Y-yes.”
Suna tried to cast aside all those weird, slightly embarrassing fantasies in her mind. Please, just don’t use any strange methods to level me up.
Like burning my own life force to force my way to Second Rank, or sacrificing my family to get to Second Rank or something.
“It’s simple. Take your Magic Staff, head into the Mist, and if you make it out, you’ll be Second Rank.”
Go into the Mist and come back out?
Just walk a few steps and I’d be Second Rank?
Could it really be that easy?!
Suna didn’t believe it at all. Even if it was, there must be some kind of price to pay!
“Then what’s the price, Demon Lord?”
The price… Just make something up. Truth casually pointed at Suna’s skirt:
“Now, take off your panties. Also, what should you be calling me?”
“Nya?!”
